Very fun and and polished! Good job!
Pretty fun games, with good audio and graphism !
Really fun game, the graphics and sound are just great, really polished, there aren't many games on here with this level of polish and juicyness
wow, like a old game. I love it, good one
Sexy characters =) Is it infinite? Music with copyright eats the brain: P
@fobia Sorry for the music. Sounds were the last thing we were adding to the game. Something like in last 15 minutes of the jam. So there you have it. Hopefully we'll do better next time. Lesson learned.
There's an end to the game. Just go for it :)
Pretty polished and juiced up for a jam game, good job! Was a little unclear on the theme, it's possible to just keep shooting and driving with the pickups, what's being sacrificed?
WOW!!! You guys have made the game ready for launch! And it looks better than most of google play games)
Cool game, pretty addictive and hard to play. It will be nice to see help screen before the first bank.
congrats on this little gem of a gamejam project !
@chriscorr Thank you very much, we didn't sleep at all :) As for your question, the idea is You have to be extremely lucky to get away with all the stolen goods. Sacrificing cash and gold is what makes your escape possible.
Wow, graphics look incredible! Especially particle effects
This is incredible! The graphics, music, gameplay, it's all top notch. Amazing work folks!
One of the best games I've tried this ludum! :DDD
Funny game. It is really addictive and challenging!
A great piece of game!
The graphics are insane! The song stolen from audio jungle could have been replaced tho D:
@sadsmile we have borrowed the song not steal it :) Therefore we opted out to be judged in sound category.
It was put as a placeholder in the last 15 minutes of the jam. Not sure if we can change the music after submission. It's not exactly a bug. We don't mind buying the song for the game but left it as it is for the goodwill and fairplay of the Ludum Dare.
The amount of polishing is amazing! The menu is so beautiful, especially for a jam game. Very impressive! I also love the art and the gameplay is great as well.
Very good, my friend!
Good GFX polish. Controls a bit wonky, but servicable. Nice mafia motif, I'm missing the relation to the theme though.
The "sacrificing" inner-city children made me uncomfortable.
Wow! nice work. this was one of the best games I've played so far
Pretty decent game. But where is the end? I feel like the first level kept going, and going. Also, poor Gerald.
Great game, the music got repetitive after a while, but it got really good! Congratulations, team.
Amazing visuals. Music fits well and I thought the gameplay was really smooth. Great entry!
the music and art choices really created a great mood! This was really fun to play!
very solid entry. Art, audio and gameplay are very nice. fun polished game. I would love to play it on mobile
An interesting game with a kind of mechanics. I put a rating) Please rating and me, thanks in advance)
This is really polished! Awesome job! Art and music are perfect with the mood of the game, the idea suits with the theme. I cant finish the first level though, is it inifite or am I just too bad?
@corbak Hi, thank you for your feedback. First level has an end. The thing is we didn't have enough time (well you know :) to polish the balance of the game. So it does take a bit of luck and a lot of patience to get through the first level. Since the voting is still on we are not making any changes to balance. It will be balanced better after the voting is finished. We do have plans to work on the game once Ludum Dare is over so feel free to follow us.
@ballo Thank for the feedback. We will definetely work on the game and release it on PC. We will also try to release it on consoles. However we are not sure about mobile. Something needs consideration.
It is so funny :D
Really funny game! It is very hard though, with all the cars coming your way it's impossible to dodge anything sometimes. Great job!
Awesome. in all categories. I guess that means i have to stop participating to ludum's now
An entry so streetcredible. Dude it's a thug punch on my face.
Great game! Felt very fleshed out for the limited time frame and I loved the art work.
Nice theme! Love it.
Amazing visuals and very fun game
A super polished and very made LD game. Well done.
The game looked and felt incredible - really polished, and everything perfectly fit with the aesthetic.
I found the actual core mechanic a bit confusing though - it was hard to tell when I was doing good or doing bad, and hard to know when/why I should throw money away.
Because there was so much going on I just focused on what the screen was yelling at me: "low on fuel!", so I started looking for fuel. If it stopped yelling, I stopped ever thinking about fuel.
Perhaps it could be improved by introducing actions one at a time, and building them up? First it's just "dodge things", then you get the gun to "shoot things", and then you realize you're in trouble if you don't "sacrifice things" - if each one was taught by the levels then I think it would make the goals clearer.
Anyyyway - that's just some "constructive criticism" because - like every other comment here - my primary reaction was "holy shit, this is amazing!"
@mateusboga Hi Mateus.
Thank you for the feedback. We tried our best to make everything as good as we could in time. Unfrotunatelly time was going against us. Well actually it was going against everybody else. You know :)
So yes, it ended up being quite hard. It will be balanced and polished later on. After the voting is over. Actually we are already working on the game already and will update it once the voting perion is over. We really look forward to update the game and get rid off those nasty bugs.
@shubart No way man. Keep on doing the great things. There should be more ideas, games and people doing it.
@dmitriyleaf @acaral @almax @arvejeitor @jk5000 Thank you guys. Visuals are really something we were lucky to polish at full speed. There is still a lot of room for improvement in other part of the game. We had so much in mind and so little time. We will continue to work on the project once the voting is over so you are most welcome to follow the game.
Also we had in mind doing some post mortem on our entry. Hopefully it will be of some interest to see the evolution of the game from day one until the final.
@mrspeaker
Hi. Thank you very much for your feedback. It is really import for us to get as much feedback and different opinions on the game as we can. Since we plan to continue improving the game we really appreciate your saying.
You're right. Mechanics should be introduced to the game at a slower pace. Bit by bit. It does get a bit confusing to understand what is going on here with the current version. We had so much ideas we wanted to show and much more unfinished and left out of the game. Our lesson is learnt. We will update the game and work more on game balance and mechanics.
Thank you once again.
Great idea! you made a really nice game. Well polished, and fun to play. The graphics are beautiful, and the mood is perfect for the game. Nice job!
@lucecyl Thank you for the feedback!
I love the audio jungle in the background
This was incredibly fun! The stunning graphics, audio, and smooth controls really contributes to how well-polished this game is. Although I did feel the levels were kind of long and challenging, it still stole a lot of time from me. Well done!
Really fun, great art, terrific soundtrack. Lots to love here. I found the game pretty hard - I ran out of gas a lot, and I had a little trouble figuring out what all the controls did, as others have said above, and which objects were good vs. damaging. Nice work, and good luck in the jam.
Actually a really unique use of the theme, especially using a car setting. You gave us basically 3 resources to juggle, cash, bullets and hp, and you had to make play by play decisions on how to handle each situation. I thought the cash+Gerald mechanic was BRILLIANT, because tossing cash to create mines was the optimal way to handle certain cars, but the difficulty in setting it up was higher since there could be other obstacles in the way (vs just gunning them down). Luckily bullets were fairly scarce so it encouraged being creative w your other resources.
TBH, I could only get a bit further than the spike strips after a few tries so I couldn't actually tell how much more content was after that. I totally feel you on not having time to balance and polish the level progression. Our game ran into the same issue, and a last minute bug prevented players from noticing there is actually distinct level progression over time, and players were wondering if the game had just stalled out.
I thought your game was excellent and had some really clever takes on the genre. I'm curious to hear what the other levels contain but alas I can't seem to get to them.
Thanks for creating a web version, that was very helpful.
The controls could have been a bit tighter, but overall a stunning entry. Well done!
Very polished game! It is hard to fight the cops, nice mechanics and graphics!
WOW! It looks like a finished indie game but this is made in 3 days and this is impresive. Good luck!
@hdugmag Thank you. We will continue to work on the game after LD is over. All levels will be balanced and polished more.
@dob Thank you. We have plans of adding proper tutorial and reconfiguring controls to be more intuitive and easier to use.
@peachtreeoath Thank you for the feedback. We had some hard times for sure but so is anyone else in here. The most important that we do have plan on the game after LD is over. So we will be updating the content and polish the levels.
@rexpeppers Thank you. Too bad we didn't make the WEB version on the date of release. It was our first time experience but then we figured out it is much better and easier for other people to play the game online. Controls seemed to be logical for us during the development process. After the feedback we realised it can be done in a bit different way. Definetely something to work on.
@krunoslav Thank you. We will make the game a bit easier to start with. With the progression becoming harder when you go further on the map.
@falak Thank you. It was really hard since it was the first time for us. We did a lot of mistakes but more important we've received a lot of experience during these 3 days.
Amazing game... you guys nailed it... Good job
Ok, I just gave you guys 5 stars in all categories. I will be really impressed if this game don't win in some category. Why? Simple: Because you guys made an AMAZING JOB here! Very well done, I loved the art, the concept and the marketing stuff (like the trailer). Well done, Congratulations!
Pretty solid, though since you seem to be an experienced team I'll give some more pointed feedback for you to help you improve the game's polish.
The bullets are nearly ignorable. Give them more visual feedback, maybe a bolder streak for the flight path and definitely a bigger impact animation to show where it hit.
The steering feels weird. The car just slides around instead of feeling like it's really gripping the road. This is just a graphical thing; the play control itself is just fine.
EDIT: Wait, this is your first time? In that case, this is super impressive. Good job!
@rodrigo-denubila Thank you, we gave it our best.
@unidaystudio Thank you. We've tried really hard to make everything in time and as good as possible.
@coda-highland Thanks for the feedback. There is definetelly room for improvement. This was our first time doing any jams at all. We decided to give it a go and try if we can make it. To be honest we haven't even released a single game yet. One of the reasons to take part in this LD was to finally make a game that can be released.Since there was a deadline we couldn't move further we had to try our best.
I've been programming for 30 years and I've never actually RELEASED a full game outside of a jam context. The best I can lay claim to is mini-games on a forum site.
There's no shame in having room for improvement in a jam game. You took exactly the right attitude: do the best you can in the time available and focus on getting the important stuff done first. Polish is for day three if you have time left over after finishing the game mechanics. The feedback is if you want to move forward with it post-jam like a lot of people do. Some Ludum Dare games have gone on to see publication on consoles.
This is just great! Don't know that to say, just VERY WELL DONE!!!
@wowa Thank you!
Cool game! I included it in my compilation video series of games from the Ludum Dare, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/o0MHxxyY-UU
@jupiter-hadley Hey, thanks for playing our game. Money throwing was for when you're going next to the guy in red shirt. Tutorial is missing in a game. As for the audio we bought it properly but couldn't add it to the game according to the rules. Since it is not something we made ou our own we have opter out from voting in audio.
