LD38 — A Small World

Bullet Wrap by Chao 2017-05-17T06:53:10Z

This is a great idea, I love the fact the further you travel the more hectic it can get. I have a feeling if there was a health bar displayed it would make the game feel a little more intense as you would have a metre showing how much danger you're in.

Overall a great game :)

I love the art style and the puzzle to get around the game, great job! :)

Match & Shoot by joekinglake 2018-04-26T12:03:19Z

Great game idea, when playing I kept on having the urge to beat my previous high score. An issue I came across was that it was easy enough to stay in one place to pick up ammo instead of running around to collect it.

Sketchbook Adventure by TangyBananas 2018-04-30T16:51:12Z

This was a very charming game to play, the concept worked really well together. The items were easy to find meaning there wasn't a lot of time out in the 3D world. Hiding the items in less obvious locations would make the player spend more time in the 3D world and would make the item finding longer, possibly littering the room with multiple items that the player can put into the sketch book would add a trial and error feature that will make the player think a bit harder about what items they are putting into the sketch book. Another way of prolonging the player staying out in their 3D world would to be add some puzzles to get a certain item (e.g. Teddy is on the shelf so the player has to drag a chair to jump on to reach). The 2D world was great to play in and the animation was very nice but it felt like it needed more to it since there wasn't too many obstacles to keep the player playing in the 2D world before having to jump out again to get the required item. Some music and some sound effects would have also been a nice addition to the game.

Great work again guys working on this, I can see great potential for this in the future

Shadow Cards by Matt Christian 2018-04-29T20:16:02Z

Hey Matt,

I liked the concept of the idea of using what cards the player has in their deck but unfortunatly I was able to get around the AI very easily. Possibly by co-ordinating the AI path to force the player to take more action (Stun them) making more use out of the card mechanic. I did have an issue where the vision cone was able to hit the player through the wall.
