Pretty cute & fun! It'd be nice if the controls/enemies/etc. were a bit faster. (Also, I take issue with the insinuation that the more bacon you have, the worse it is.)
Love your MS Paint-esque art as always, silly game but pretty fun! Managed to keep it going for a long while lol.
HAHAHHA! This totally busted me up! The control scheme was comic genius, as was the sounds. Love it. LOOOOVE IT.
Respect for doing all your sound effects with your own voice. Definitely unique
AWAY WITH YOU! Loved it xD
Fun game, really fun. Had lots of fun playing!
Well, I suppose that's one way to go down fighting. The core mechanic here is interesting and requires a good deal of awareness and coordination, though I didn't always quite understand what counted as a hit on an enemy or why the bacon would sometimes reach its "overcooked" state almost immediately after reaching its "cooked" state. The full voice acting certainly adds to the entertainment value. I won on my second attempt.
This was a funny game, it was interesting to use both hands to play. There was a bug where the bacon went from uncooked straight to burnt for some reason. Also I picked up some raw bacon while the stove was full, I wasn't sure how to put down the raw bacon so that I could pick up the cooked bacon.
This game is hilarious, sfx are just magnificent, it's hard in some way too, manipulating two hands is confusing, great work.
Great game, really good concept and was fun to play! Bacon went straight to burnt from time to time
Fun and simple game
This game was interesting. After figuring out the controls it was fun to swap back and forth between the two hands to manage everything. I kept burning the bacon.
HAHA 5 stars for audio!:D Nice little game
Cool game, loved the intro music! Nice also to have the two hands moved indipendently, it's a little bit difficult but very funny!
Cool mechanic, tasty bacon, superhero, u need nothing more.
Baaaaaaaacon! really good audio and i like the strange feeling playing this. Feels artsy.
Great game! It was pretty fun trying to find the optimal bacon eating/cooking/punching strategy. The hit detection on punches feels a bit weird at times and I died a couple of times cause I couldn't find the hitbox. Overall good job though!
Funny game, especially the audio! Would deserve to have the hitbox fixed but it's been fun!
Baconman is the greatest game I've ever player!. Haha, nice work in the time, it's fun for a few mins. Sound is so good. If that game sums up the type of person you are, you must be a really fun. Nice work. Only thing is the hitbox is a little wacky at times.
Hilarious stuff! Great job on the sound effects, artwork was cool and fit the game. Game mechanics were sound, although I feel that its a little random when the bacon chars on the stove. Theme wasn't that strong, but welp, great game and you made me laugh. And now I'm feeling hungry.
It is a very cool concept and gets more and more crazy the longer you survive. It takes a lot of multitasking and coordination to keep juggling all the things that you need to do.
When you get into a flow or a nice "circle of life" you feel really good about yourself :D I had a sequence where I had 1 arm put new bacon and then go hit a monster while the other hand picks up a done bacon and eat it and then go for new bacon
I like the style of the game, it is very funny and huge cudos for the voice acting, 11/10!
Check out my first impression of your game on my channel! https://youtu.be/WdPp6MmJRGM
Digging the overall goofiness of this! The character designs do a really great job of selling the style.
- I found that once I got into a good rhythm, it wasn't actually that challenging. Idk if the monster spawn rates ramp up over time to eventually make it impossible, but I felt like it could have been made a bit more difficult if you made it so that you can only punch them when not holding bacon (or maybe you just lose the bacon if you punch with it?) - The audio got pretty grating after awhile. I imagine that was at least partially intentional for the voice-over, but the music was more the issue for me (it seemed to get louder and quieter for no real reason) - The time for a cooked strip becoming burnt seemed really sporadic, to the point that some pieces are basically just a lost cause if you aren't already on it when it cooks - Making it so you can open the controls and exit repeatedly to repeat the starting line was an A+ decision
I liked the voice acting! It fits well with the game's humor. Also liked how you can stretch the arms around anywhere.
Fun game! Max score for humor!
Simple but fun! It gets hypnotic after a while! The audio clips go from funny, to annoying, and once you play it long enough it comes around to funny again. Being able to control both hands independently was great -- a lot of little mini-strategies arose organically out of it. I liked parking an empty hand above a cooking piece so I wouldn't miss it once it was done, while managing the monsters with the other. Really enjoyed this!
Punching people *while holding bacon* (was this also supposed to work?) and moving your hands in some kind of mystical 8-figure pattern to fry bacon and punch baddies?
It was actually quite easy to survive on even with only using one hand though, but then again using two hands was more fun anyways so I'm not really sure there was much of a loss there :D
Voice acting.. absolutely A+
Very fun game! The voice acting is very cool and I liked trying not to get mixed up with the hands.
This was really really fun. Using both hands and developing a routine -- 1 hand starts cooking bacon and guards the left, other hand eats bacon and guards the right -- was really gratifying and fun.
The sound effects were awesome. BAaAaAcon!
Awesome!
I accept your bribe... So BaconMan I found to be a funny game unit it wasn't then a few more moment passed and it was funny again. The sounds would get under my skin but somehow permeate funny and keep me engaged. It was a unique experience where the essence of it wasn't to satisfy a power fantasy or test out wits but to enjoy the hilarity of the art and sound coupled with a strange setting full of sharks, squirrels, chickens, and bacon. All I can say is I enjoyed it. There was clearly no real intent to make a ground breaking game here but to have fun. Well done guys maybe next game could be Tofu man the evil twin of bacon man.
"By the power of Bacon... I have the power!"
This is a funny game! The character made me laugh, and the art-style suits it. Also the SFX add to the funny mood (and I recognized the monsters' growl :smile_cat:). The mechanic is interesting, I think it would work great with gamepad like in "Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons". Only the music was annoying sometimes.
This game is lots of fun, works with Mesa3D software rendering.
Pretty cool game, clever control scheme, it definitely fit the theme. I thought it was quite humorous.
Hey! This game is good! I love the multi-tasking and the controls are great for adding to the chaos. I made my game in LOVE as well (and I used your Make File of Doom for the Builds :stuck_out_tongue:).
I am definitely going to include a LOVE splash screen in future games.
