The link for itch.io doesn't work for me.
The itch link does not work but based on what I have seen in the video, I really like the ambient background sound and the graphics. The graphics are like the GBA. At least that is what it reminds me of.
@squatch @hoogmin thanks for report it, the link its working now ;)
Neat little game, and an interesting concept for a turn-based strategy game. I just want to let you know that it seemed to bug out after two levels. On the third level the walls weren't working and I couldn't hide behind them.
Thanks @squatch i will try to reproduce it ;)
@squatch again the evil lua, struggling all the time, just a error with map instances modifing, in theory now its fixed with other minors bugs
Don't know what happened with my game, but there was only ever one level (no random map as the game suggests). It seems all you need to do to win is ensure you get the first hit.
@nillard its something with lua random number generator, i will see it i can fix it tomorrow, now restart the game and see if the level change
I had fun! The increasing actions per turn are interesting, but I feel it removes your ability to balance around race conditions. Similar to what @squatch mentioned. Some additional reason to spend actions rather than just move shoot would improve the tactical options provided to the player. The interface for navigation and making actions was brilliant and very intuitive. Congratulations on a successful LD!
Fun, was I figured out what I was doing was just a case of getting bad robot to move into my line of sight on his move. He got reckt :)
Dude... I love this.. I saw some of your beginning points during the start and was intrigued. I love how you have turn based AI and the base mechanics of the game. I probably could play this for hours. If you don't mind come check out our game at

@noah-beckman Thanks ;) Currently i am writting the post mortem of the game, but sure i will test it later
Great job!
I don1t understand this game, there's no difficult to win and i didn't saw the theme applied
@renan-prates you should test others maps by restarting the game, if you want different difficulty (The difficulty its not everything its a ludum dare, there is more things to see like graphics music, and effort i make the game blindly and at the end i don't have time to balance it perfectly, just try to hide some times instead of shoot and shoot), the more turns you have, the more turns the bot have too, its very easy to see the theme
@draperdanman thanks for the feedback, i tested you game some time ago and i really liked it
Yeah, i was out of time, but it could be more cool with something like shields, ability to break the crates etc
love the concept and the strategy. The music builds a real sense of tension whilst retaining that c64 kinda feel. Great game
Ooh, turn-based, nice! The graphics are very slick, I like them a lot. The music was okay, but I don't know if it fit the game that well? It would fit something a bit more relaxing, in my opinion. I like the mechanic -- getting more and more turns really builds up the strategy / tension as the game progresses. Good work!
Nice job, the graphics and music match the style of the game. It only seems to me, that you automatically win if you shoot first, as the enemy robot didn't try to hide. Nonetheless a funny game!
That's my favorite game so far.
Here's a list of things I would love to see in a more complete version (that I would pay for) - Disable the robot AI to let a 2nd player take the place in hotseat style. - Possibility to end a turn without using all actions. (though being forced to use them all is interesting too) - More variety in level composition. - Control of the music volume. (being able to cut it completely ;x)
This game somehow reminded me of Bomberman if it were turn-based.
@happysloth oh, to much thanks, ya i was planing too much things, like multiplayer, more actions, more levels and settings like volume & stuff, i didn't do it cause the time, i had some troubles with the internal stuff and that make me waste a lot of time, but ya, probably i will release a complete version in the future
@lazzor thanks! i am noob making music haha, in this entry i tried to make something better than the last, but always i am better on coding than art and music haha
@fluidvolt thanks! it was based on fidel dungeon rescue and other stuff, like i reply to lazzor, i am new making music, i will try to learn more about it to my next entry
@@ariake81 to much thanks ;) a real sense its always cool!
Fun idea! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktW2lunXI_s
