Nice game! My highscore is 140! I love the sounds the dishes make when they clank together. I also like the slingshot mechanic. This game goes well with the theme.

It's a fun physic Game but if you don't read the control that you put in your post, there's no way of knowing that you have to press shift to increase height power. So maybe a pass on feedbacks could help a lot, or a more adequat input.
I like the idea for the menu to have everything pile up, because it's the core gameplay of your game.
great audio i must say! but i found it difficult to controll. the idea is great, if you polish it up it has great potential!
@anstabo The controls are in the Help dialog which includes using Shift + Mouse to increase launch height, but I agreee that the controls can be difficult to explain/grasp. Honestly, that was my biggest concern while making the game, but I'm glad you got it and I'm hoping other people will see it too. Without being able to increase the launch height the game is not very fun. Thanks for the feedback!
That's completely unexpected but I found it very funny.
Very hard to land anything, when it happened it felt like pure luck! the controls themselves are nice but something about the physics feel odd. regardless, cool entry, fun concept!
I love this so much for who knows why! It's just so fun to launch the dishes around even though I'm horrible at having them land on the table. Really fun and I've spent lots lots more time on this than any of the other games! Neat!
How is this real? I have dreamt of such glory but never imagined that it could manifest in the actual world. My unworthiness of witnessing such beauty did end up being reflected in my nonpositive score, but I count myself a better person regardless for having played it.
That was a hard game, only managed to get 110 after several tries. I must ask you @recursor what are your high score as the developer?
I was really digging the music and the sound effects was also nice. The controls was a bit clunky in the beginning but you learned after the first time. I'm quite sure that I still got points from dishes that managed to land on the stools, maybe a bug?
@sh1rogane The stools are also meant to get you points for any dishes landing on them. I believe my best score is 160. Each dish has different point values with the cups being the most since they are the most difficult to land. I just fixed a bug in the launch height controls which had been increasing the launch magnitude as well as the height. This should make it a bit easier to control. Thanks for the feedback!
Really cool original concept! It was nearly impossible for me though as I could only play with my touch pad and no mouse. I dig the chill music, it suits the game. I wish throwing was easier, maybe with a projection of the trajectory. That might be just me though. Nice work!
@gus-the-shark Yeah that makes me think I probably should have had some dishes on an inclined surface which would have removed the throw height component entirely and probably made it more fun. Hmmm... perhaps in a post-compo version. Thanks for the feedback
Challenging game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/pT1wbP1q_Ao
Hmm, hard to say what to make of this. It's basically a physics engine test :)
The idea is a funny one. But somehow the shot strength seemed to have a random percentage; from a gut feeling using the same power had some dishes go over or in front of the target table. I also do not really see the theme in this; unless it's the space on the table.
I managed to get a lousy 50 points :)
Neat unique game. Nice music. I managed to score 100 points on my second try. Maybe some sort of trajectory display would help me shoot better. The only issue I noticed was that if I used all of the dishes before time ran out, then I would have to wait for the rest of the time to tick down before I got the results.
The music is excellent. Throwing the dishes is fun and satisfying
Hey! I really like your game especially the sounds. It is satisfying if you manage to throw a bowl and it acutally stops on the table.
It's fun, and pretty satisfying, but feel like it would be even moreso if the dishes shattered when they fell on the floor. Other than that, the gameplay seems pretty much perfect, if a little tough.
It was fun just hurling dishes but actually landing them on the center table was quite difficult. It also was weird that dishes did not shatter. I also did not really see the theme in this game. @levidsmith you can use esc to end the stage.
Great audio and controls. Nice coding on the strength and everything too! Is there a way to pick them up if you miss? Because if not, you should end the game after throwing them all since there is nothing to do. Overall it's super tricky but fun. Good job!
A neat little entry. Weirdly relaxing. Mastering the throws is difficult, but rewarding. Nice job.
This is solid.
Really fun little game. At first, I was a bit afraid with the controls but it turned out OK and pretty intuitive to use. My main concern is the UI/feedback you implemented when pulling on the plates. The colors are misleading, because green seems to indicate that's fine whereas it's way too strong. The fact that the force is represented discretely and not continuously is a bit misleading also. I wasn't able to determine if you could aim up or down. But apart from that I played several times and had fun, that's the most important, congrats!
@rend It is a continuously increasing force, and the colors are there to give an indication of what range you are in kind of like in the golf games. Another thing that I should have explained is wherever you click on the dish is where the force will be applied. Applying the same strength force on different parts of a dish will cause it to behave very differently. You can actually cause a plate to flip forwards or backwards doing this (backwards flips work quite nicely). Thanks for the feedback and for giving it a shot.
