Really fun and innovative idea. The sound and graphics produce a nice relaxing mood. Well done.

anfaas1618 2018-12-03 13:37

played for an hour just it you killed it

marc-grabow 2018-12-03 13:39

Great idea! Took me a while to figure out how it works but it's a cool concept. Also love the nice puns, you should make dad jokes for a living? Watt?

sarwin 2018-12-03 13:42

Its a good concept. I really liked it. The music and the graphics are amazing!!

gevernus 2018-12-03 13:45

Amazing sound and art. It's so enjoyable!

dunin 2018-12-03 13:46

Nice concept and fit well with battery universe.

Having to click on "rewind" and "next" while playing with the keyboard is annoying. "Rewind" could be a key, and the next battery could happen automatically.

jpdepew 2018-12-03 15:28

The puzzles were very well thought out, I really enjoyed it!

r3l0ad1 2018-12-03 17:15

Amazing game as ever Sebastian, I loved the concept but, you should have made it more clear what the rewind button does, just a bit.

recursor 2018-12-03 20:16

The rewind mechanic adds so much and is done very well. I'll be coming back to this one.

crazyrems 2018-12-03 22:26

Excellent game, I really enjoyed playing it. It just misses a couple of puzzles. Good graphics, mood and music.

fredr121 2018-12-04 03:59

Great Game. The rewinding mechanic is executed very well. Graphics and sound fit very well. The puzzle design is really good.

binarylynx 2018-12-04 11:05

Nice to see the guy I'm learning from participating the same event) Very good game design with fun mechanics and levels. Adding a couple more mechanisms to play with and a dozen of levels would make it a full finished game. I loved it already though, great job! Fortold Land of Ohm is something xD

noa-calice 2018-12-04 11:36

That was a really clever idea Sebastian :) ! And those sounds and music went perfectly with the game, nice and relaxing, they don't hinder the puzzle solving process (damn those puzzles are tough ;D). I also really like those big googly eyes and the story to go with it :)

gerardb 2018-12-04 14:30

I love how you always come up with a cool game concept and solve a programming challenge at the same time. Really like how the cables and playback mechanics turned out!!! :D

Great job as always!

vinay-rao 2018-12-04 15:09

The level design here is good in that it doesn't quite allow for clearing the levels so quickly as to be unsatisfying. That it had an introduction, game body, and ending made it quite enjoyable.

Speaking to the game body, it's an interesting game mechanic. The music and sound effects helped the atmosphere without coming across as repetitive or annoying.

I found no bugs.

Kudos on making a short, but very refined experience.

wevel 2018-12-04 15:11

Nice puzzles, using the buttons made it quite difficult to time when to spawn batteries. Graphics where very nice and clean.

rk3omega 2018-12-04 18:27

Interesting concept. Felt a lot like trial and error trying to get the timing right though, and having to click both rewind then spawn a new battery felt cumbersome.

xorboo 2018-12-04 19:15

A really good gameplay idea selected for the theme. The only suggestion as that screen buttons should be mapped to some keyboard keys, so player won't have to use the mouse at all.

sokette 2018-12-04 19:20

I sacrificed so much batteries on the last level  I would say the battery feels a bit clunky to control, but maybe it's just because batteries are supposed to be heavy ! The music felt very atmospherish (is this even a word ?) and the batteries were so cute !

:sparkles: OHM :sparkles:

tay 2018-12-04 19:37

Really like this, the puzzle are not hard nor easy, good balance on that side and the general concept fit the theme well. Poor little batteries :(

secretpocketcat 2018-12-04 22:25

At first I thought it was a nod to Red Dwarf (both bettery heaven and Ohm) and then it clicked and I felt rather silly...

In any case, the puzzles were nice, but the highlight for me were the puns.

Closer the opposite pole was the platforming. When the batteries were charging forward, they would not just slot in with a satisfying click and key shortcuts for rewind and next battery wouldn't go amiss. A bit more juice would be nice. I hope I don't sound too negative though it currently seem like it. (Obviously I'm just trying force in more puns and failing miserably. Sorry...)

meenners 2018-12-05 05:25

Fantastic! Theme was creative and just plain simple to understand! Great job!

paul-p1 2018-12-05 08:16

Nicely done, i really like it!

pyjamaboy 2018-12-05 11:41

Very very clever.

adam-b 2018-12-05 16:10

I second what some other people said: maybe it would be nicer to have some keyboard shortcuts for 'rewind' and next 'batter' Anyway, great game and atmosphere! :D

grafexy 2018-12-05 22:06

Great game, very creative maybe just add some sort of achievement for accomplish lvl in first try, or some timer :)

shrekshao 2018-12-05 23:51

Well done as always. Have been enjoying your unity videos. Really like your way of making those editor tools / authoring texture method that truly shows how a proficient unity dev differ from an amateur like me. New lessons learnt everytime watch your videos. Cheers

ryzy27 2018-12-06 13:32

What an amazing game. I enjoed it a lot. First two levels were hardest for me until my brain clicked, then it became easier and it took me like 5x more time to do level 2 than the last one.

I love the music and simple animations.

I'd also like to thank you for your 2D platformer controller tutorial. I have used it while making my game and it made my life easier. Thanks!

Cheers!

elemental-zeal-game-studios 2018-12-06 23:40

Really solid entry, great job. :D I was impressed you had a neat mechanic like this done solidly in such a short time period, while still keeping the other aspects well done too.

nekonyo 2018-12-07 15:51

I love it 😍. I did not think that I was going to give you such good ratings. It is so hard of saying something I do not like of it that I had to click that 5 stars button a lot of times 😲. I love the original mechanic for this specific game, I can not score on music of course and I just give you 4.5 stars on graphics because it is simple and cool 👍. But maybe it could be better 🤔

2018-12-10 07:15

One Concept I Liked: * I liked that the gameplay mechanics were not trite even though they were not original and this made me appreciate these types of mechanics as I liked them and they still feel fresh to me.

One Concept I Disliked: * The tutorial was not good at explaining how to play the game as it did not thoroughly explain the game's rules very well and I would recommend having players playtest your game and give feedback on the tutorial so that you can see what is not intuitive for the player so that you can make changes to the tutorial.

lishnor 2018-12-11 07:40

Really great game, I enjoyed the mechanics and art style. I wish there were more levels to play, but nonetheless, it is an interesting and innovative concept for a game.

dk5000p 2018-12-12 16:38

I feel if you could make the jumps should be more obvious. There were situations where I was not sure if I could make the jump until trying a lot. I liked the mechanics, but since this seems like a puzzle game the fact that precision execution was needed made it less fun. Still great artwork and sounds. It was also fun watching your behind the scenes.

geckoo1337 2018-12-21 07:12

Lovely puzzle game. Amazing project with an unusual gameplay. At first I struggled hard so as to understand the main mechanic and how to solve level, but quickly I mastered time and movement. Sound for batteries is great - eyes rolling too. Of course, you could improve graphics, but they are good enough as a compo entry. It fits with the theme as well as possible. Thank you for this entry. One of my favorites - addictive. Well done ++

generictoast 2018-12-22 09:45

Really well thought out game mechanics and design. The only thing i felt that could be improved was the difficulty progression between the stages. The puzzles are already semi challenging from the first few levels so some easier levels at the beginning would have been nice. Other than that, this is an extremely good compo game!(as expected from you  )

toadietechnika 2018-12-23 00:55

Glory to the OHM! I watched the video on how you made the game and you really put a really clever solution for the rewind mechanic. I really liked this puzzle, even if it was short. Awesome work.
