Cute art, solid gameplay loop and easy to understand design! I do have a few nitpicks with the jackpot feature though. Maybe a more skill-based phase to determine the quality of the potion (e.g. stirring or brewing) would have made the experience more enjoyable. Nevertheless, I found myself going bankrupt trying to get a 3-star slime potion recipe while my friend laughed from the sidelines very enjoyable. Great work!
I loved the aesthetic! Gameplay wise, I wasn't a fan of the waiting and spinning, which seems to just artificially delay the game since there's no time constraint. Perhaps reduce to just one pot and make brewing instant? Regardless, great entry!
It was so cute! I love the idea of being a lil witch making potions. It reminds me of the Steam game, Potion Craft. Love it. I think it'd be so nice to play for a long time if it had music.
So much cute! I did all the checks.
The mechanic is pretty well executed even if there's a couple flaws but nothing too dramatic.
I really loved the character so I did this

This is so cute!! The game is so underrated!
I really liked this game! The core concept here feels like it offers a nice little puzzle that you've put a lot of content into. Well done!
Unfortunately, I think this falls a bit short for me as a jam game. The brew timers, while thematic, don't serve the gameplay. It actually detracts from it, making the player wait for no reason other than theme. And then after the timer, you still have to wait for the randomized roll animation to finish? Perhaps if audio made it into the game, this would be less frustrating to sit through? But as it is, it just takes too long to do anything meaningful. And when you finally get an engine going to make better potions, there isn't a whole lot of strategy or gameplay decisions beyond "pick good/bad ingredients" to get your desired results.
I really like this idea and I'd would definitely try it again if you put some more time into a fuller release. As is, it falls a bit short for a jam game. There's a lot of potential here, especially if you developed into the idle/incremental genre.
Congrats on making this for a jam. The character animation is superb :)
Really great looking game! The UI and all the icons are extremely well done. I managed to get the full set of potions brewed. A little splash screen upon completion would've been cool, but I understand there probably wasn't time.
I never felt compelled to brew multiple types of potions in the cauldrons. The nature of the jackpot spins meant I could arrange the ingredients in such a way as to try to get multiple star values of the same potion at once. That said, I'm not sure if that was your intention with including 3 cauldrons, but with the countdown timers, I assumed you were wanting the player to have different types of potions going at once, which I didn't feel incentivized towards doing.
That's the only real constructive feedback I have. Otherwise it's fun and very pretty look at. Nice work!
Thank you everyone for the feedback so far! We've been working on a [post-jam version](https://celia14.itch.io/potion-shop) which moves a little faster, plus it has music, sound, and some other polish.
@crazyrems... That Lizzie is so cute!! I love her energy, it's amazing. Thank you for drawing her! If you ever post that on Twitter please let me and @rose know so we can retweet and show it off.
Really enjoyable game. Love all the different kinds of potions you can make, and the flavor text is fun. Not sure what you can add to the gameplay to make it more interesting, maybe the play has to grab the ingredients from different rooms or something? Or interacting with the potion while its being made, but its solid enough on its own. Nice work!
Loved it! My wife and I spent way too long arguing over how to gamble our money away...mistakes were made.
The art is really cute and the UI very clear and well designed. What did you use to make this, btw?
Great game, super clever and fun mechanic, loved calculating what were my odds of getting a 3 star item and how much money i would earn.
Pretty fun concept! I do wish I had more meaningful choices to make, though, and that I wasn't waiting quite so long for my potions to complete. It's quite cute, and was fun for the first couple potions.
Very good game! I liked the mechanic, it worked good. Very nice UI and character design
@fedora Thanks! We made it with plain old HTML and Typescript.
