@dioinecail thank you!! we overscoped a lot and it didn't feel great handing this in yesterday.. so these comments really brightened up my day
how fun, so we meet again :D I remember your Noir Vampire game, it had a really nice mood :)
peaceful, cool game. spent quite a lot of time on this one
Really chill and peaceful atmosphere, definitely feels like it meditative game you can just relax to. Unfortunately even with the compass and the map I got lost at one point and couldnt find my way to the next waypoint (I think it was the last or second to last delivery), but overall cool vibe!
I really, really like the mood your game creates. The graphics suit your game perfectly. Game is relaxing and fairly fun. Good job :)
Yes you pretty much did death stranding in a weekend. It feels empty though but the amount of work to make it this beautiful must be huge!
Controls feels nice but a bit stiff, tree hitbox are oversized, but you deserve the title of "dream game made in a weekend" hands down.
This was a neat design and kept me interested well enough to complete it, the first time I played I totally missed the package at the start and ran around for 10 minutes before getting bored and quitting so maybe it'd be nice to make that first package a bit more obvious
This game was super interesting! I haven't played Death Stranding so I'm not sure how much is an homage and how much is original. It's really beautiful for a game made in a weekend. The whole world has a hazy, dreamlike feeling. I did start to get the "unstable" feeling when the rocks/trees starting shifting size, and from some of the conversations with the homeowners. I like the mood and the visuals, especially the animation and fur on the character.
I like the sound design here also -- the compass is satisfying to open. I ended up holding down the 'C' key the entire time so perhaps I would have liked to been able to toggle the compass instead of having to hold the button down.
After collecting the box where the person says, "You never came to visit me", I ran down a hill to deliver to my next house --only to hit an invisible wall. It seems like the collision boxes might be too large -- it caused an issue when I was trying to run through a field of rocks, and prevented me from running around the side of the house:

This did take me out of the immersion as did some of the faceting on the cliffs. But otherwise I was impressed with how much you got done. I might suggest shortening the amount of running at the beginning of the game, just so players can get some context more quickly (I ran all the way to the village only to realize I had to pick up the package and run right back!), but otherwise it was really cool experience!
@julieanneg Tighter collision boxes are definitely on our to do list, thanks for trying our game!
Cat 10\10 Death stranding 10\10 Result is 10\10
Cute cat, cute barrels, cute everything! Had a lot of fun playing this one. But the collision boxes need some fixing
So great experience! Thank you! I love the graphics and music!
Sorry, the game was ruined for me, when I realized this cat won't jump. A simple fun taken away. That's a cat disaster. But the overall idea is quite nice.
@ardorugus I believe the word you are looking for is CATastrophe? :smiley_cat:
it's a work environment risk for a delivery cats to jump because they might forget it whilst carrying packages and hurt their backs :scream_cat: :no_entry_sign:
jokes aside, thanks for the feedback, I wish to have it too, it was too hard to add at the time :cold_sweat:
Art style is rly impressive for a game made in 3 days. How did you animate the cat? Is all by hand or maybe you have some magic trick? ;)
Although I need to say that level design was rather confusing and distance to walk from my perspective was too long for such a small game.
Anyway great entry!
@ryjcio yeah, the animations of this asset is the magic trick :tophat: :rabbit2: https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/lowpoly-cats/ I would be afraid to meet someone who animates that in 3 days, must be some kind of demi-god? :scream_cat:
Thanks for the kind words and feedback
