Cat Stranding by 0x01F0 2021-10-07T00:36:12Z
This game was super interesting! I haven't played Death Stranding so I'm not sure how much is an homage and how much is original. It's really beautiful for a game made in a weekend. The whole world has a hazy, dreamlike feeling. I did start to get the "unstable" feeling when the rocks/trees starting shifting size, and from some of the conversations with the homeowners. I like the mood and the visuals, especially the animation and fur on the character.
I like the sound design here also -- the compass is satisfying to open. I ended up holding down the 'C' key the entire time so perhaps I would have liked to been able to toggle the compass instead of having to hold the button down.
After collecting the box where the person says, "You never came to visit me", I ran down a hill to deliver to my next house --only to hit an invisible wall. It seems like the collision boxes might be too large -- it caused an issue when I was trying to run through a field of rocks, and prevented me from running around the side of the house:

This did take me out of the immersion as did some of the faceting on the cliffs. But otherwise I was impressed with how much you got done. I might suggest shortening the amount of running at the beginning of the game, just so players can get some context more quickly (I ran all the way to the village only to realize I had to pick up the package and run right back!), but otherwise it was really cool experience!
