Really fun game! I would have preferred being able to zoom out a little so i could see more of what was 'down' from me, but still a fun game. The quick restart is a great idea.

crazyrems 2015-04-20 22:00

Yeah, the camera, it's a bit too close.
It really misses basic sounds, but it's quite fun and well made.
Post effects are a bit too much, the running animation is very rigid.

gaugepunk 2015-04-20 22:24

thanks for the feedback! ill try and do a quick update and shift the camera

descole0 2015-04-21 00:53

Pretty fun but it could really be improved with music or sounds.

sluce 2015-04-21 01:49

I really liked the art, its a really cool style. However, I do agree that it would be even better with a litty ditty that you could jam too whilst making everyone blow each other up! Great job!

petey123567 2015-04-21 02:08

Pretty fun! I want the enemies to telegraph they're about to attack more so I can better plan my path.

thejash 2015-04-21 02:15

awesome art style! like others comments it would be great to be able to zoom out briefly, but still really fun nonetheless

mobstersquirrel 2015-04-21 02:34

Same as crazyrems, I think you could have put post effects aside, because your art style is unique :) You didn't even needed it. I think a basis jumping animation would be great.

I was running and then I saw a "cat"/"bomb cat" stuck on a ring, I was like... I'll get closer, and it will follow me! Nope! The cat trolled me hahaha I was like LOL!

Overall, great job!

Really nice work! The graphic style is pretty neat! With some sounds this could be great :D

dyfer 2015-04-21 08:51

The game is beautiful and I like the speed but FPS is too low for a good experience. Also, I noticed that when I die, score is reset half of the time.

eastes 2015-04-21 08:57

Sweet animations! I'm impressed that you were able to do that and more in 48 hours. What did you use to make the animations?

gaugepunk 2015-04-21 10:28

thanks for even more feedback! for the general question about sound, there's no sounds simply because of the the time constraint, so pretty much yeah laziness.
@eastes, the animations were made from scratch in blender. blender always seems to tick all the boxes for 3d game development.
@dyfer, the score re-sets once you press space for a new game (which means that it will count any kills that happen even after your dead).
and the general suggestion of more camera control is great. if we work on the game further that will definitely be added (but since the jam is over it wont be for this version).
thanks for all the feedback!

Stunning graphics, really cool gameplay. My only gripe is that (so far as I could tell) there's no ramping up in difficulty. I could get rid the screen of all the enemies at 80 points and be back to square one.

awpteamoose 2015-04-22 07:40

A solid idea, but needs more polish.

nuclear-mosquito 2015-04-22 10:48

Music and sound would've been nice. But still, nice game. I enjoyed it. Going into my "Play Again" list.

kabutakogames 2015-04-25 12:35

It's a sweet looking game - wish it had some sound or even some music though

trasevol_dog 2015-04-25 17:57

One of my favorite games for this Ludum Dare ! Really fun !

lyje 2015-04-26 17:41

Fantastic! Great fun, great graphics, great idea!

jmborden 2015-04-26 18:33

I like the concept of this game and it was pretty well executed. I had a problem where the character wasn't restrained to the arena. I could just keep running forever it seemed.

onlyslightly 2015-05-05 03:23

I posted this on reddit but I thought I'd put it here too for good measure.

Great game! I really liked how you played with depth of field and it was satisfying using their weapons against each other. When it got really intense I got a real rush especially when getting them all to blow up each other at once. I really liked the low poly visual style too.
