Loved the handheld frame, is quite fun also some mechanics can be polished, but I had so much fun that I dont care, loved

I really like the style that you were going for here - a retro feel was definitely achieved with the visuals and sounds! However, I did find the gameplay to be a little slow for my tastes, as every mistake sent me back to the beginning, a point from which it would take me another minute to leave. Despite that, this was a cute little game - good job!
The art is really good and I like the style of the old lcd screen games. I thought that the sprites getting dimmer was nice touch. Great work!
The frame has been really well made, and the game graphics too feel the 'handheld' type. But as mentioned before, the mechanics could be a bit better. Plus, you need to start voting other games. That's the only way you are going to gain votes. Anyways, nice game.
Game & Watch! Fun!
Nice take on the theme. It costed me a bit to realize what the objective was... just like in real G&W :p
Really nice aesthetic. Really felt like i was playing an old-school game. It reminds me of Manic Miner and Donkey Kong. Anyway challenging and a lot of fun great job!
Nice Game & Watch Feeling!
I was happy with my game boy like game, but you went even further with Game & Watch. Well done, it's truely great!
Super cool idea, feels almost like a rythm game, super fun, also the idea that the whole game is powering down is great
Wow!, I like so much the visual style! I'm a huge fan of the Nintendo Game & Watch games. This game it's very original for my, and it's perfect for the jam theme (I like so much when the batery is near to be empty, when the LCD sprites are almost transparent xD). The controls work pefectly (for a Game & Watch, of course xD).
Good job! :D
I always thought battery is one hell of a boss in many games. You took that idea literally!
Really great retro visuals and control, BTW, you nailed the nostalgia card!
Great game!
Thank you very much for the comments guys!
We did bring up during development that the difficulty could be toned down a few notches, so we may revisit that :)
Ok, that was inventive!!!
I liked it, even if it was a little slow. I'd have to start over every time I took damage, so being able to restart at "checkpoints" would be nice.
One of the best takes on the theme I've seen, and also bonus points from me for quite some nostalgia you've awoken within me. :) The gameplay is simple but I can't see it done any other way with the concept behind it, the sfx fits well, as for the graphics I woulda went for a whole black-and-white theme personally, but the way you did it works as well. Thanks for the feels and well done!
great game! it reminds me so much of my youth  everything is well crafted! very good job.
It is definately one of the best games i have played here! Graphics, sound - cool. But the gameplay brings back memories from my childhood when i used to play that kind of games.
Man, this is awesome! I HATED these old Tiger electronic games... almost ruined me on games for life, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a brilliant re-imagining of them. Really nice work!
WHOA - this style is awesome! Why don't handheld controls are interactable? :P Nice to play, great to look - congrats :) .
Very inventive, loved the game and watch style!!
thank you everyone for the kind feedback!
@drachmor @toonteamj agree, it's difficult, but it's the only challenge the game offers, after all - watching the timing. I think more checkpoints would be too easy, but it's true we should give improve battery life (hehe) and/or give some more time to avoid obstacles.
@inventer99 @EX3 in the desktop version the sound is also affected by the current battery level, too bad the HTML port didn't support pitch distortion!
@pnkthrepwood true, me missed the retro manual booklet, would be a nice addition as splash screen :)
@gil4 I never had a b&w game & watch so I guess I was influenced when choosing the colors... hmmm I admit it would have looked nice...
I'm quite happy to see we managed to transmit our own nostalgia down with the game :) thank you all for playing
This reminds me of those old handheld console things.
Looks and plays very well.
The first time I couldn't figure out what to do at the top level, lol.
