Nice game, I like the story so far, and the sandstorm mechanic. I wish there were more details to the world tho, like rocks laying around or the light posts along the road. The sound would really help too, at least for the shooting.

Movement felt a bit floaty, I also found it quite confusing where I should go next. However, the overall theme was nice and it felt like a large world I was exploring which was quite nice.

I think a minimap could have been quite helpful here, and I managed to get our poor captain stuck behind some moving walls during the second part of the psyche experiment. At least the pilot's leg is gonna be alright :P

I like the game thus far. At first I thought the sandstorm mechanic was pretty clever, but it quickly became annoying, as it forces you to just sit there in order to not lose the game.

It seems somewhat difficult to navigate - there is a relatively big map and not a lot of information to help the player find where they need to go for quests et cetera.

I think my main complaint with the graphics is that they simply aren't complicated enough - which is basically unresolvable, as it is virtually impossible for a single person to make a large set of models during one game jam. But it certainly would be nice if there was more variety to the buildings and especially the terrain.

I also think that the player walk animation could be greatly improved (i.e. to always face the correct direction), but, again, as far as I'm aware that's quite complicated.

Overall, though, this game is not at all bad, given the apparent amount of stuff packed into it.

Cool concept - I like that there's a lot of space to explore, but it's fairly empty so some kind of hints/quest marker or a minimap would help that process. Would love to see this finished!

Any chance we could get a Linux64 build please?

The sandstorm was an excellent idea; it went on kinda long but it's interesting and looks good. I like that you have a dialogue system and quest-like things, but the gameplay was pretty boring. Sound would've also been nice. A minimap would've helped me not get lost and a better plot would've helped make quests more interesting. (Although I understand that it's really tough to write a good plot.)

Pretty ambitious for a game jam, but nice overall. Appreciated the auto-regenerating health, sandstorm warnings, and branching dialogue options. Really wish I had more control over the camera or it was angled differently - felt like I had no bearings of the world around me (though maybe that was intentional) and got lost a bunch. My favorite part was definitely the button - although not part of the main story (I think), it was creative and gave way for some interesting decision making. Nice work!

Some things I liked: - There was some good visual polish, like the ceilings of houses disappearing when you entered, and the sand effects. Also the dialogue boxes. - Like others have said, the sandstorm was interesting.

Overall, though, there doesn't seem to be much to this game other than walking around and trying to find things, which is not that fun, especially with a giant desert and no mini-map or indication of where to go (disclaimer: I only played for around 10 minutes before stopping). Also, this could really have used some sound effects. Overall, it seems like you aimed for something really big, and it's pretty hard to do something of this scale in a short game jam. The story was decent, though (at least what I saw of it), and I did like the Firefly references. :P

I also have some minor nitpicks: the walking animation looks a little weird, and sometimes I would stop holding down WASD but the character would continue walking for half a second.

I don't want to be too negative, so let me say that I am very impressed by the amount of content in this game (like the amount of dialogue, and things like the psychological experiment), and this could be something really awesome with more work. Good job!

I can't say anything specific about the game that others haven't already said, but generally, it looks like you made a game too wide to have anything deep. I like the ambition, just not that great in a game jam. I hope that you keep working on the game and fix some of it's problems, it could turn out really nicely.

It seemed interesting, but it needs a little polish, such as the floaty controls that make you feel like you're walking on ice. Otherwise this game could have potential.

Nice entry. I was lost most of the time and some sound would help. I like that it has a storyline and the sandstorm mechanic was clever as well. Good job.

The game felt very surreal. I enjoyed just exploring aimlessly since the world felt so large even though I don't think it was. Nice work.

Nice game. But i stayed lost in this map, i think that you could implement a mini map in this game.

I must admit that I didn't really know what I was doing a lot of the time. I wandered around for a bit, talked to a few people, then just kept on ending up at places I'd already visited! As a quick tip for something I noticed, I'd recommend having the captain face the direction in which he's walking, as otherwise his movement looks a bit silly. I did appreciate the references to Firefly! :D
