With changing directions while drilling being so difficult and the screen so short I found myself guessing more than actually strategizing where I should drill. By the end I just drilled straight down to make my life with the claw easier and scored 17000 points. I think either a little bit more leeway with the claw or make it so that the whole landing sequence can be skipped easily. Having the claw explode and then having to wait for the ship to land before being able to try again was a bit frustrating. I thought you did a pretty good job with the music and a great job with making the crystals look good. I also liked the view of the planet from space.

I played 2 rounds, I found moving left and right was kind of hard and there didn't seem to be any strategy other than luck. I like the concept of switching modes for the extraction, but if you fail it should give you another extraction attempt.

The main element lacking from the gameplay was some form of obstacle to the initial drilling portion. There's a trivial solution to make the claw game easier by just not turning during drilling.

That aside: The graphics are pretty compelling, and I like what you're going for both in terms of theme and mechanics. The claw game is a bit too difficult to control, but with a bit more polish on the controls this could be a great little game. I'm always a fan of any title that makes me hate my past self's decisions and have to work around obstacles I made myself.

The music's fun to listen to, but short enough that it gets grating after a while. Both with the music and the graphics/animations you've managed to nail a very cohesive mood, one of hostile, impersonal industry and mining for greed's sake. Nice work.

I guess the game is currently playable if i dont move during the first part.

I do have the feeling that the claw part is supposed to be challenging, but I don't want to try it out because one error means you have to do **everything** (including the first part) again.

If I was making the game I'd probably start with a **very** large drill and ends with a smaller drill so that the claw part becomes increasingly harder, now everything is just as hard.

I like the music, the graphics and most other stuff, only the gameplay could need a bit more improvement. Goed gedaan hoor!

It's pretty good, but the grappler is too difficult to maneuver. Also, there's some kind of bug in the jar file that prevents rendering if I try to use any window size other than default.
