I'll admit this is pretty funny watching myself power up and blow up buildings is more fun than I would have expected. Maybe I need to be a hugely unpopular president?

"Ahhh," I say to myself, "Time for some pity political satire."
But then I fire it up and I'm YUGE! I'm so yuge I'm crashing into buildings, and they're crumbling at my my giant... feet? head?
This game is a trip.
Bwahaha! The description on this site is a large part of the fun! :D Loved the signs, especially the meta-signs!
I also love how the protesters follow you in the sky. The comparison to Goat Simulator is a good one, I think.
Theme: ???
@blinry The idea for how it's "a small world" is that, to a giant, the world of normal-sized humans is quite small.
Glad everyone's liked it so far! I'll be honest, I was expecting a LOT more salt.
@CliffracerX: Oh, I see, thanks for pointing that out! Good job working on this, I will show it around! :)
It's so funny! Good job!
Well, it's a fun game, but the WASD + QE is quite hard to control. Using the mouse for looking around would be better in my opinion.
@Breno_M I had planned a typical third-person camera system when I started, but time constraints made me opt for a simpler controlscheme.
I Played this on Livestream a bit ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwY1-PtcDqs
The control scheme was really difficult, I think it should have been a Mouse-Look. Also, the infinite drop was painful, I think it would have been better just to have an invisible wall keeping the player in.
No FOV slider. Utter *garbage* 0/10
Except the bit where it's ridiculous and surprisingly fun, where playing as Decepticon Trump crashing into buildings at Mach 1 was hilariously entertaining, and how reading signs found its own entertainment with all the goofy things on them.
I suppose that part was *okay*.
Interesting. My only problem was how slippery the controls were, such as when I'd jump once while moving and fly over the entire world. The signs were fun to read, although I wasn't given much time to read them.
Too bad the game is so unfinished I would have loved me some "Goat Simulator style Smash-Em-Up".
The controls are very unfortunate. Why not use the mouse for looking around. The feedback by @occultone hits the nail on the head, so I'm not gonna repeat it.
Kudos to you for daring to pick such a divisive topic. I would have crapped my pants in fear of the possible reactions to this.
Well, it's a start. Try some character models next!
I always recommend putting a bit more work into the GUI. In this case I often couldn't read what it said because the font was too small and too light.
I was very confused as to what to do but the signs were usually fun to read. Something that could be improved is controls. The sound effects were funny but I jumped on the WRAARRWH sound effect because I had the volume on 100% haha. Good job!
Writing this comment as a list because it makes more sense that way:
- Tiny white text with no background is basically impossible to read. Even the text of the game over menu is hard to read against the background. Thankfully none of the text seems to be necessary - Hitting buildings doesn't always destroy them, but *does* always stop you in your tracks, making the physics feel sticky and making the destructive mayhem less satisfying than it otherwise could be - Ability keys are laid out in an awkward and seemingly random way - Text on protestor signs is also tiny, and hard to read if you're avoiding protestors like you presumably are supposed to - The control scheme is just... what even? - Shallow political commentary but oh well, the game is fun - Hilarious to see a crowd of protesting giants bowling over buildings to get to you - Sound effects are on point - Blast ability seems to be very inconsistent in its effects - Graphics need a lot of work. Much more than proper character models or variety in buildings, I think this game needs visual effects for the different abilities and their effects
It was absolutely funny, and of course, who never wanted to feel like Tronald Dump for some minutes ? But the game wouldn't have suffered from having variations in gameplay, like ennemies (it's not like you couldn't find any ideas). And i would say that the controls are chaotics at least, rotating with the mouse would have made your game a million times funnier ! But anyway i laughed, and it's enough for me in this case ! Good job !
lol what a really weird and funny game. Definitely finish it! Good work :))
I've just jumped over my chair when i pressed 'e' lol It's a funny concept of game but you need to be more aware about how to let the player enjoy the game feel. I suggest you to investigate a bit about it and keep working on it. If this is one of your first jams good work and keep on it!
Finally a game where I can play Rodrigo Duterte!
I kept falling off the edge of the world. (I bet real presidents don't have this sort of problem...) But mindless destruction is always fun!
A tic-tac with tactics! Pretty funny, but feels very basic. Overall, not too bad.
Interesting game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQvFJMpbZ5A
