I beat it with first play through... saved:1 dead:22 sacrificed:27.... i got to that "don't let your guard down" jumped and touch it... contemplated for a second before taking care of the impending losses... and then i lost 1 of my 2 guys left just to poor placement....
great little game, it was fun to watch the replay. I tend to like controllers for platformers, but controls weren't bad... placing platforms felt a little unfair when I was trying to get them right over something, like spikes, or at the bottom of the map... i felt visually i would not be in a dead state(off the bottom of map, or colliding with spike), but it killed me as i tried to sacrifice...
overall it was fun, and everything worked about it...

@acuriosity Thank you very much for your feedback, I hope losing your last survivors that way wasn't too frustrating. I noticed the dead before touching (at least for the spikes) before publishing so I reduced the colliders size, I thought it was enough but it turns out it probably wasn't. There's actually a pretty bad bug related to that in which the survivors could die if you make them pass too close to a spike. I hope it doesn't happen too often, I will fix it in an update.
@brklipel Thank you very much!
Very good idea and nicely implemented.
It is a bit difficult for me (I'm not used to platform games). I personnaly would have appreciated more puzzles than dexterity challenge, but it's only my feeling :)
I really appreciate you followed the theme and proposed a matching mechanism. Nice !
Very cool. I really like that you made the other little guys follow the first one's footsteps. It was a very nice touch. Fun game!

@1257th-or-nothing Thank you very much, I've always wanted to try creating some interesting puzzles but I have no experience so I'm afraid it would have taken too much time for me (or I'd end up with trivial/impossible puzzles). I should experiment a bit outside a jam. I'm glad you appreciated my approach on the theme.
@cincerteri Thank you, my first idea was actually to make them follow me in real time instead of waiting on checkpoints, but then every time I died, I died again because I would always freak out during the character change, so I opted for this solution.

Oh man, this game is so great, I love it! :) One of the best I've played so far. The following mechanic + checkpoints is awesome, music is great, obstacles are challenging but not impossible. Good job! You also nailed the theme. One thing that is worse (but still good) is graphics...I like more complex graphics. Anyway really great job and keep it up! I just remembered that I got stuck 2 times and couldn't do anything, but I don't know how to reproduce this.

@esosek Thank you so much, I'm so glad you enjoyed my game. And it's the first time someone called my music great..actually it's the first time it's been called music  thank you so much. Concerning the graphics, well, I'm not going to lie, it's not because of the limited time, this is probably the best I can do right now, if I try to go any more complex I'll just mess it up.
I'll look if I can find out something about this getting stuck bug, thanks for pointing that out.

i liked the meatboy effect when they all come to you when you reach a check point. The puzzles are self explaining and it teaches you the basics of the game it was realy nice experience
Hello! I found the gameplay very interesting and fun! it's a game with a great deal of growth! it would be interesting to implore also the possibility to move the platforms!
This is a very fun game with very minimalistic graphics.

Fantastic game, my only gripe is that there aren't more levels. FYI look into the PixelPerfect package for Unity, I noticed a little bit of sprite tearing on the tiles and I think it would help.

Really enjoyed this game, simple style, simple concept but really well followed trought, it's a blast to see the left people follow your path. I would really be interested in some stats. I only managed to safe 10 people, but made a ton of mistakes (kept trying to jump with SPACE due to muscle memory -,-') and was wondering what an ideal run looked like. Anyhow, had a blast, thanks for developing this fun game =)
Saved 18 people. This was an awesome idea for the theme. The graphics were simple but it matched really well with the bit audio. The level had a good amount of challenge to it. It ramped up very fairly and I liked how you included the instructions within the game rather than just through a control menu. The only thing I wished this game had were more levels to play. I hope to see this as a full game at some point. Great job!

This game is awesome. the theme was right on, art style is simply amazing and I Love how you have the other characters follow you. Great work! Definitely going to send to my friends and see who can save the most lives!
Very cool! This is my favorite take on the "sacrifice lives to make platforms" thing so far. Using the path taken through an area as the pathing for the followers was a really neat effect. Nice simple visuals with matching sound effects and a catchy little tune wrapped the whole thing up nicely. Great entry!
Very fun!
I'm really bad at timing, so I had troubles making platforms. Can we build it? Yes we can (with your bodies. All of your bodies)!
This was a very fun mechanic. I'd look forward to any expansion of this.

Thanks everyone for your kind words! I'm so happy you liked it :) I'll definitely expand it in the future.
@mmason thank you I didn't know about pixel perfect, I'll look into it.
@p0nce I'm sorry that wasn't actually the end, you had to climb using your people and then proceed forward. You'll know it's the end when you reach a big flag. Maybe I should have added a suggestion there..
It's equal parts puzzle and platformer. Part Braid, part Lemmings. Not too easy, and not too hard.

Out of all the games I've played so far, this one is the best. I liked the overall game design and that part where you needed to create a long bridge in open space, that caught me by surprise. I thought I had beaten the level and then boom, another flag waiting at the end of empty space. Really clever level design. Also, I am really curious as to how you implemented the "followers" because their behavior seemed advanced to me...

@najmm Thank you for your kind words and sorry I took so long to answer. It was actually quite simple, I stored the position of the player every time it moved and when it reached a checkpoint I passed the list of positions to each follower with a delay in between and they just moved to the next position at every update, updating the animation according to the difference between the previous and the current position. I also tried storing the input instead of the position and having them behave exactly like the player would, but when I passed near spikes there were slight errors and differences that often made them hit the hazard, so in the end I opted for using the positions.
