Solid!
This game feels so tastily oldschool. I feel like I am back in my Amiga days.
The art is lovely, from the palette to the bright/dark contrast and texture of the different surfaces. Simple but lively animations. The only thing it's really missing to make it feel more alive is sound effects.
Gameplay was a little fiddly to master using my keyboard, as the arrows/space/F keys aren't a comfortable mapping to me. I noticed WASD also works for movement, which I am more comfortable with, but then I am left either using the same hand for F or having both hands closely together on my keyboard. It took a bit to get used to, but I got there in the end.
As I've come to expect, a wonderful entry!
Yes! once again you make another great game. It was fun to play! Very similar to some of your older games like proletarian ninja. Great concept, and super fun!

THAT WAS SO FUUUUNN !!! Grabing ennemie and cruch them in to wall then take a barrel to EXPLODE EVERYONE is really coool! And Jean-François Hubert is so beautif... BADASS! Nice work!
That was awesome! Really loved this little game. It was challenging, but not so hard that I felt like giving up at any time. Levels were nicely done, and after dying once or twice in the latter stages I had usually formed a plan of attack.
My only gripe with the game was that the Restart key was right next to the F key... happened a few times that i restarted the level instead of picking up an item - that could be frustrating.
But, I'm telling you - when a Ludum Dare game has me playing it 'til the end because I don't want to stop - that is a true sign that the game is great. Graphics and animations were wonderful. Music was great. And, hey! Who's wouldn't want to head into a war zone with their equipment out :)
Wow, great art - well designed world with tiny details and great humor, reasonable AI and a challenging gameplay with so many possibilities - I enjoyed the game a lot!

Awesome and delicious as usual form one of the best LD developers! Love everything at this game, the only cons for me is that there is no sounds, just music... Also controls for keyboard non-ergonomic. One of the best entries for me!
This game is just top! I love the innovation of it the most. You don't need anything but your body to solve the puzzles/win the levels. Would make a very good couch co-op game !
Wowwww!!! The best game i played so far!!!!!! Good job!!! I really like the retro style! Nostalgic! One thing bothered me a little, in some levels i had to walk so far to kill an enemy. if I could even slowly kill an enemy using the punch, I think it would improve that. But this dont make the game bad. Only one thing i thought. Congratulations!

What a very, very fun game! Easy to handle, instant fun! It's easy to see your incredible know-how in the matter! I wonder if the game could have been yet more straightforward with only one action button?

Man, this is super (or I should say uber considering the theme ;)) good! It's so fun to play. I agree with others that the single-button experience is much better when playing with the keyboard. In some way it reminds me of Indiana Jones and the last crusade from Lucasfilm...

really juicy game, I can't imagine how satisfying it would be to play if you had the time to put in sound effects. Would be nice if you could pick up dead bodies to throw and stun enemies, or if you could throw knives as well.
One thing I noticed though. This probably won't matter for most people, but if you run out of viable weapons to kill one of those big turrets, you're kind of screwed. I guess you could say that you deserve to lose the level at that point but it wouldn't be the most fun way to lose. It's kind of a nitpick but I thought I'd point it out anyway.
The art style, the music and the visual effect are great! I like the point that enemy' bullets can kill thier associates. Love it!

All the components of this game are very solid it's too bad it was missing some sound effects. My biggest pet peeve was specifically mapping the pick-up button to f on the keyboard. But overall a game that I would and will play again!
Really Solid Entry, like always a smooth and fast-paced gameplay with also suitable difficulties, main character can't get hurt by spikes and explosion add lots of juices in gameplay However, a little bit leak on innovation

@celdur Yes, running out of weapons means a forced restart, which isn't that great :( Maybe some sort of infinite stock somewhere could fix that?

This feels like an action packed version of Lisa in some parts ... also it feels a bit like Broforce, love how you can go stealth or just go wild! Man this is very very satisfying to play I must say that, and the take on the theme was simple, but one of the best I must confess
Awsome game, despite lacking most of the sounds it is played great. Fine level design, smooth mechanis, great combat system, well done.
Very polished game, a pleasure, as usual! I particularly appreciated the balance of level design. Like another comment, I felt that F was not really convenient to grab objects, but it's a detail (and the post-jam version fixed the problem). Still, a very nice entry!

What Haxe framework did you use for this? (just out of pure curiosity)
The levels are pretty fun to work through! I can feel your experience from all the other top-down room-based games (Proletarian Ninja X, Atomic Creep, etc) coming in. I never had to retry a level, but it was still fun regardless, and I think the way that they increase in size and scope works pretty well. You had a good mix of elements in terms of trying to make the player manage their resources, while still encouraging a lot of improvisation. The punch move felt a bit underutilized, not sure if there is an elegant solution to that though.
F was an OK key to use for me :)
controls were great! I liked picking a guy up and just running around and they would end up killing each other. nice job!

I also love the texts (which say something since it's an action game) especially the intro text!! :smile: An amazing entry really deserving 1st place!!!! After all with amazing previous entries like Badass Inc and Memento XII (adventure fan here :smile:) is it really a surprise? :smile:

This is such a Deepnight game. Which also means it's an amazing game. Throwing the guards around and into the spikes feels good. I'm not sure if I'm good at aiming but sometimes it feels like the game knows what I want to do. Lots of fun, well done!
