Hi abitscared, when I try to launch your game on itch.io I get the error "abort(114). Build with -s ASSERTIONS=1 for more info." I'm using Safari on a Mac if that helps!

Hi Shawn, thanks for making me aware of this. I'm not able to test for Mac or Safari at the moment but I've rebuilt the project using some settings suggested in a reddit thread I found. Hopefully that fixes the issue. So far it's running on Chrome, Firefox and Opera using Windows.
I realy liked your game. The controlls are really smooth, and it's fun to play :)
Nice looking, but way too hard! I couldn't even manage to buy the sword :-/
Wow our games are very similar
You have exclusively keyboard controls during gameplay. But on death you require the mouse be used to attempt again. I'd probably play this a fair bit more if it were faster to restart.
Great art - looks really pretty. I had quite some problems with the controls. (I'm used to have the movement on my right hand, and jumping/attacking on my left hand).
The visuals are very smooth, i love the main character. The attention to details dose not go unnoticed, but then again i am a little pixel artist my self so :frog: I am not sure if there is supposed to be audio in this but i didn't hear any sound. My only problem was the ability to reset. It needs to be quick if you are going to die alot quickly. I would maybe even dedicate a button to it. But your game has a type of progression so i can see how that may case a issue. All around a every good entry to you first LD, Welcome to the family DUDE :frog: :gun:

Quite a nice game. Couldn't get the hang of the timing of the normal attack. But with just evading and betting I was almost able to buy a weapone. Then I lost it all in a bet.
Then i didn't feel like playing anymore.
Really nice well made game. Though I have to agree with @redz0ner that it's really hard to get the hang on the normal attack. Well done!
Neat game! I wish that there was more variety in levels, but for a game jam entry it still felt nice and polished. It also sometimes seemed like the best strategy was to just wait around on the starting platform and spam attack until all the slimes died, I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. Overall though it was a fun experience, great work!
Fun gameplay, very good art. Waiting for the slimes to die after your death could be made quicker. Overall, solid work, I like it.
Excellent presentation and smooths controls! I'm _really_ impressed with the pixel art on display here; it really helps all the elements of the game fit together very nicely. I found it a little challenging, though, and quicker restarts (not having to use the mouse) might help.
I really liked the system of buying weapons with your lives as it really fit the theme, I also thought the pixel art graphics were well made! Overall, this is a really good game jam entry!
Loved the art and animation. The first levels are way too easy - just jump to the side, wait for the center platform to clear from slimes and get back. The punch attack is pretty useless, so I just avoided slimes before getting a sword.
I guess the way to tune up the difficulty would be making slime spawn constantly not only at the beginning.
Trying to punch seems to just result in death. It is difficult to even have enough lives to buy a sword, I would have either had you start with a sword or make it cheaper. I like the artwork and the overall gameplay is good. I am missing sounds and a killer rock soundtrack in the background.
Okay sword is way too strong, unless new enemies get introduced after buying the sword the game becomes easy.
I like the art style and the platformer physics. Controls were good too! Impressive that you also implemented a shop system with weapons and I kept wasting lives by using the betting option, haha. Nice work!
