Cool game! Like the Mad Max wasteland aesthetic. Some animations on the cars would go a long way. Would love to see more types of enemies and weapons appear. Getting different weapons each run would be pretty fun for example. Keep up the great work! 👍

I don't understand how to shoot, but kinda fun.

Once you get the hang of it, it become endless ! Maybe too much, enemies could deal more damage.

Pretty Cool Game guys! Loved the aesthetic and the power ups! I'm a major madmax fan and would love to see more of this universe that you guys have created! I felt that the controls were a little bit weird, dont know if it was a bug or just me being slow lol But awesome game, congrats!

It would be way better if difficulty increased over time. For now, it's easy to play a practically infinite amount of time using only machine gun.
To Valhallaaaa! Not many games allow you to disassemble your car for ammo.
@lalou Unfortunately I ran out of time to write a full instruction list. But you use scrap that you pick up from the road to assemble the upgrades. The dotted lines in the scrap bar show you how much you need.
@5you @mehozavr The first pass of this game was very hard and rather unfair, so I have toned the difficulty down. If we had more time we would have added more cars that are harder to take out. Thank you for the feedback!
@surreali Thank you! @beastiebeastie did some amazing art for this one, really happy with it. The controls, especially for upgrades, are somewhat fiddly, but we didnt want to interrupt the action with a shop or pause menu!
@green-rail Glad you like the concept!

Well made, I had a hard time understanding the commands, ammo only reloaded once, but I think it because I ran out of scrap. One upgrade would probably be to change size of the vehicle to make for the bullets. Maybe this is only because I was too bad at aiming ahah, great work !
Really like the hand drawn art! And the game got fun once I got the hang of it! Could use a cool mad-max-vibe soundtrack to help the mood. A nice site for finding that sort of track (and others) would be incompetech.com if anyone is interested.

Great work, certianly can use some polish, but nevertheless very impressive :)
@shaddo Good idea! Thanks for the feedback!
@jason-lothamer Certainly am interested! Thanks for the link!

Would be good to see different enemies to add some variety to the challenge.
I didn't do a long distance but it was cool. I think it's not necessary to have a button to reload the weapons, it could be automatic but maybe it depends on everyone taste.

Its really missing some increasing difficulty over time, but I know it is difficult to implement all the desired features in time :)
I like the mad max aesthetic, and it really has a lot of potential with this them. That being said I would have liked to see you do more with it. Currently the game is strictly moving and shooting, mechanical skill with no strategy necessarily. I think you could incorporate some more mechanics that force the player to make more interesting decisions

I really like the wasteland feel of this game. It took me some time to realize what I was supposed to do with the scrap. Maybe adding like a tutorial level next time that explains everything to player might help. Also it would be nice to see different enemies or maybe some small boss fights. The gameplay feels nice when you know what to do and movement is very smooth. Overall this is a very nice entry and I had fun playing this. Good work! :)
@melmo @aspect Thanks for the feedback! Originally the game was way too unfair early on, but given more time I'd have worked out a reasonable difficulty curve that most likely added other enemies later.
@julienlussiez Main reason I put the button in is because reloading uses scrap, which is your health, and I wanted the player to be in control of that. Maybe I could have a toggle that switches between automatic reloading and manual reloading?
Ui and graphics are quite simple but are well made. The gameplay is simple and captivating. Great work!
Me enchanta! This reminds me of one of the first games I made, called *Boat Battle*, or colloquially, *Zane and Lord Garmadon Fight*, and based on the Ninjago TV show episode where Zane fights Lord Garmadon on their skyship in a dream. My game was a three lane, 2-player pseudo infinite runner/~~bullet~~shuriken&energy-ball hell.
Okay, sorry for the reminiscences, but the invoked memories are what I enjoyed most about playing this game. Second most, was the art; really nice looking! I loved the mountains in the background, and the vehicle and prop art. The firing mechanics worked great, and the missile was a stroke of genius! Dodging enemy bullets and other obstacles was fun to plan, and I got to over 3400 in distance on my best run.
Thanks again, this inspired me to revisit my old game again (I've already tried thrice :face_palm:, but who knows, maybe the fourth time's the charm!)
I really liked the concept of the game as it took me a bit to get the hang of what all the options were for scrap and how to juggle them. There were some instances where I really had to choose my positioning carefully if there were bonuses scattered too close to obstacles, with enemies firing all around it. The game does seem to go on for a while if you knew what you were doing, got to 2k myself. I can really see the potential of the game if it had more cooking time but the core is certainly there!
Great entry, was fun to pretend to be mad max! A bit of music would have added to the atmosphere. The difficulty didn't really ramp up too much, and I could have just cruised at starting speed for the rest of my life :p The graphics were good. I think this would be a lot of fun with a bit more polish!
@good-enough Oh wow, can I play this game somewhere? Glad it gave you such memories!
Nice cartoon graphics.
nice little game to play around:)
I think it would be hard to dodge bullets at times when I don't have much room to dodge. Decent entry.
I like the graphics on your game, I think it could realy benefit with some polishing but I know that the time is short! Anyway good entry
