LD44 — Your life is currency (11)

Lifeless by Kaisean Games 2019-04-30T14:01:38Z ♥ 3

The most innovative game I've played in this jam so far! Loved all the interactions and the jokes that came with them. Awesome work! πŸ˜„

The Coin's Unexpected Adventure by CharlieMrl 2019-04-30T13:23:56Z ♥ 2

Cool idea for a game -- exploring the world, trying to interact with everything and get the achievements is really fun. The game looks great and its satisfying when you get an achievement. Could use some music and I had a few issues with the coin getting stuck in geometry, forcing me to close and reopen the game. But overall this an amazing game, keep up the great work! 😎

Petulant Petrolheads by SeriouslyCrunchy 2019-04-30T13:07:14Z ♥ 1

Cool game! Like the Mad Max wasteland aesthetic. Some animations on the cars would go a long way. Would love to see more types of enemies and weapons appear. Getting different weapons each run would be pretty fun for example. Keep up the great work! πŸ‘

Town of Currency by Drauthius 2019-04-30T12:55:48Z ♥ 2

Love the humour and style of the game. The voice lines are great and sounds like you had fun making them. Also the respawn animation is really satisfying. Would love to see more enemy and weapon variety. Keep up the great work! πŸ‘

Death Alley by DuzzOnDrums 2019-04-30T08:20:44Z ♥ 2

I love the artstyle! Characters and their animations are so well done. Everything is so polished and satisfying. Had so much fun just trying to perfect my roll. Keep up the awesome work! πŸ’ͺ

Sick Business by very dark lord 2019-04-30T08:05:41Z ♥ 6

Pretty much everything in this game is amazing! The visual art, menus are all nicely polished and well put together. The minigames were fun and really added to the humour. Also loved the idea of being a crooked doctor, trying to make as much money as possible. Really awesome work guys! πŸ‘

Instagram Boyfriend by ultrarat 2019-04-30T07:47:51Z ♥ 1

This is a fun idea! I could see it being developed further, with more things to interact with and more filters etc. The UI could definitely use improvement though - the text kind of feels thrown all over the screen. Overall though, awesome work! πŸ˜ƒ

Endless Consumption by Jacob Valore 2019-04-30T07:17:58Z ♥ 0

Cool idea - I liked the split screen concept, but I couldn't work out how to get back down to the shop (couldn't climb back down the ladder). Love the idea of furnishing your own apartment. Nice work!

Rogue Money by ayama 2019-04-30T07:07:39Z ♥ 1

Really cool game and fun mechanic. I like that the limited inventory size makes you have to think about what enemies to shoot and when. I also enjoyed seeing all the characters. The visuals could be improved, but otherwise amazing work! πŸ˜ƒ

Removed by Cuppycat 2019-04-30T06:51:57Z ♥ 1

Nice work for your first puzzle game! It's an interesting idea, but I think there is room for improvement with the puzzle design - I got stuck after turning into an old man the second time; I couldn't find anything to interact with. The visual art and atmosphere are amazing though! Awesome work!

D.R.I.E.D. by JasonD 2019-04-30T06:36:53Z ♥ 1

Hey this is a really cool game! The art is amazing, both music and visuals - reminds me of Into the Breach. Took me about 4 tries to get to the end, and I loved going out and seeing all the different encounters. Awesome work guys!

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made (8)

Dilemma by Jzjerry 2018-12-04T17:00:59Z ♥ 1

Cool idea for a game! Like the paper sketch aesthetic and loved the humour. Maybe one slight improvement would be to allow the player to walk through the switches; it was hard to get to the one you wanted to in the later stages because they kept blocking movement. Keep up the great work!

No Brakes on the Train of Life by squaredev 2018-12-04T14:54:54Z ♥ 1

Love the idea of turning the trolley problem into a puzzle game. You guy did an awesome job with the art; also the death screens were pretty funny. Keep up the great work.

The Mist by tpamir 2018-12-04T04:16:56Z ♥ 1

Love the minimalist artstyle and the overall aesthetic. The icons that merge into resource bars are cool as hell. Definitely an idea that can grow. Keep up the great work!

Sacrifarm by martincohen 2018-12-04T03:58:24Z ♥ 1

Awesome work! Gameplay is smooth and very satisfying. Love getting multiple hits with one shot and then running through the crops to respawn the population! Also like how the pace of the game is quick; it keeps moving. Amazing that you did all this on your own freshly made engine as well. Great stuff!

Trashore Island by Baktillus 2018-12-04T03:34:42Z ♥ 2

Agreed, wanted to play this game simply because visual aesthetic caught my eye! Really awesome work! The music and general cheery mood made this game a joy to play. I also loved the variety of items that were shaped the same. Keep up the great work!

The Pink Slip by shulololo 2018-12-04T03:20:43Z ♥ 2

Hey, sweet game! Love the aesthetic; especially all of the character pictures; really great work on those! The green text storyline was also very clever and had a fun ending. The interaction with the interface could definitely be improved; it felt pretty clunky, but overall awesome job! Keep up the great work!

Silvercliff Killings by spierek 2018-12-04T03:01:55Z ♥ 2

Seriously an amazing game. Love the aesthetic and paranoid mood, but agree with @auzrial in that it would be nice to see who died the previous day while investigating. But really awesome work guys!

Family Outing by Elmephisto 2018-12-04T02:37:56Z ♥ 1

Hey, congrats on your first game jam! Really amazing work from you all. Its satisfying to run over all the aliens and saving people just to sacrifice them later is a fun idea that fits the theme really well. Some animations could liven up the game a little, but overall awesome work!

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres (19)

ULTROÏD by Geckoo1337 2018-05-15T12:13:23Z ♥ 1

Very interesting genre mix; the bounce limit and the yellow goal makes it feel like a golf game. I had a lot of fun playing this, but I feel like maybe I only progressed through luck. Maybe I just need to play more to get the hang of it though. Visuals and audio are amazing; awesome work!

Burger Boy by Ben Grimm 2018-04-25T12:43:35Z ♥ 1

This is a cool concept which you can probably take even further. It was a little tricky trying to tell how many squares away turns/collectables were. I know you can read the minimap for that info, but I would also maybe like to eyeball it. Even though you opted out of the graphics category, I have to say that your game looks really good. Love the aesthetic. Awesome work, keep it up!

Eilza by Cosdots_HM 2018-04-25T12:14:52Z ♥ 1

Amazing work! Loved the aesthetic; the colour palette, music, everything. Keep up the great work!

FPSville by Lyrcaxis 2018-04-25T11:53:57Z ♥ 1

Hey, good effort for getting this out in such a short time frame. Yes, there is much room for improvement; but I think you have a good sense of humour about it (You got a chuckle from me with the watering can and the giant troll). Keep at it and see where it ends up!

Ms Grunhilde's Sandwiches by pparadigm 2018-04-25T11:37:18Z ♥ 1

This game is cute as. I love how simple it is. Looks great and you set it up well with the intro. Also, the music kicking in when you deliver your first sandwich was just perfect. Awesome work on your first game jam!

The Farm by GertJohnny 2018-04-25T06:04:08Z ♥ 1

The quality of this is amazing! Seriously good work for such a short amount of time. Loved the audio and aesthetic. The turn-based, tactical farming fits the theme really well and was surprisingly engaging. Although I did run into a bug; I think after I harvested two tiles at once, the game soft locked and wouldn't let me take my next turn. Other than that, a really great piece of work!

Pseudonarrative Dissonance by Baby Dino Herd 2018-04-25T03:40:20Z ♥ 0

Cool game! I loved the noir theme; seriously good work on the audio and visuals. Each interaction was also unique and fun. You had me googling slang to solve that riddle πŸ˜„. Was the code puzzle the end of the game, I walked around a little but couldn't find anything else to interact with.

Keep up the amazing work!

We Don't Serve Zombies by Thy Duck 2018-04-25T03:19:59Z ♥ 1

Love the concept! Serving up burgers with the rhythm-lite mechanic was satisfying and a ton of fun. Having to manage serving customers as well as cooking burgers on the grill was a fun challenge. The zombies definitely started feeling a little repetitive, but otherwise, I very much enjoyed this game!

Platform Assembly by Alaindelon 2018-04-25T03:04:17Z ♥ 3

Awesome work! The pairing of platformers and idle clickers works well here. I had fun figuring out where to place the pads and then watching it all unfold. Though I agree with the other comments that the price increase for the pads felt a little steep, and had me waiting around for more money to come in. But that pretty much is what an idle clicker is.

Also loved the aesthetic. Keep up the great work!

I'm Not a hero by Guillaume Gomez 2018-04-25T02:44:28Z ♥ 3

The artwork is seriously good; awesome work! The other runners could use some work though; as they kept getting stuck on each other during the start and it felt less like a race and more just me running alone through a battlefield. Overall a pretty good result for your first time working together. Keep up the good work!

Help Wanted by Snowdrama 2018-04-25T02:19:55Z ♥ 3

Nice work! After the first wave, it gets much easier; I just placed close range turrets everywhere and managed to win quite easily. I think you could get away with starting the waves automatically; I enjoyed it more when I felt I was being rushed to cook up more towers.

I like the humour and the music was great. The UI could use a little work, but understandable with the time constraints. Awesome job!

Mud and Pixels by Hare Software 2018-04-24T13:56:32Z ♥ 1

Agreed with the comments above. Would love to put different units in different trenches. Otherwise, I loved the visuals and think you did a fine job blending the two genres. Awesome work!

Farm of Duty by Jima 2018-04-24T13:36:11Z ♥ 1

Quite a charming game and an interesting mix of genres. Having to look directly at each berry to pick it up got a little tedious for me after a while though. The aesthetic is pleasing and I also like that coins were hidden in the level. Keep up the great work!

Soccer Battle Royale by ditzel 2018-04-24T13:05:41Z ♥ 1

Pretty funny take on the battle royale genre. This could be pretty fun if you had teammates to play with. Also, the impossible difficulty was hilarious. Nice work!

Prison Cat by figrita 2018-04-24T12:13:59Z ♥ 2

Nice work! Love the aesthetic and humour. Some music would make it better, but other than that I had fun!

CCG Shoot 'em Up by Moczan 2018-04-24T11:23:03Z ♥ 1

Awesome work! I love the monochrome colour palette and the aesthetic in general. You did well to merge these incompatible genres but I think there is room for improvement (more cards and maybe enemy variety?). Being able to see your upcoming movements would be cool as well. Really good work!

Self Golf by SecondDimension 2018-04-24T07:38:56Z ♥ 1

Really nice work for just 48 hours. Love how the ball hits itself to move around. I would like for the ability to maybe nudge the camera around a little so I can see where to go next. Also not having a ceiling would be fun, though I could see that breaking the balance a little. Awesome job!

Rapid Bullet-Hell Blitz Chess by Ismael Rodriguez 2018-04-24T06:43:44Z ♥ 1

You did a great job mixing the two themes, with how the enemies move like their chess counterparts. The simplistic visuals and audio also complement the game nicely. Nice work!

A Puzzling Combination by Noa Calice 2018-04-24T05:43:25Z ♥ 1

Love the graphics and the cute intro. Definitely could play more of this if different directions were added. Awesome job!

LD39 — Running out of Power (12)

air mail by rubna 2017-08-03T06:11:37Z ♥ 0

Seriously cute aesthetic. I love the colour palette and the audio. I also liked that you could talk to the people after delivering their mail to find out who it was from. Keep up the amazing work! πŸ’ͺ

PotatIO by Ash Duong 2017-08-01T11:32:40Z ♥ 1

This is a really neat game. I love the aesthetic, and the clean UI. The music is also relaxing and adds to the gloomy mood. The sound effects are satisfying, especially when your potato grows bigger. It can be a little slow and I wish there were a quicker way to plant and harvest the potatoes, but otherwise an amazing piece of work. Nice job!

Max fps racing by superchihuahua 2017-08-01T09:27:23Z ♥ 1

I love the minimalist aesthetic, really shows how much you can achieve with so little. The driving felt fine but I think it would have been better if it were smoother (the car kept bouncing up and down for me). Some sound effects and music would do great. Awesome job!

PLUG and PLAY by Lishnor 2017-08-01T09:02:59Z ♥ 2

Cool concept and a joy to play. Really great aesthetic. The movement felt a little clunky sometimes, and I often got caught in the walls, however overall I had fun with this. Keep up the great work!

Unleaded: The Story of a Van by Lino 2017-08-01T08:31:13Z ♥ 0

Really nice aesthetic and mood; its quite relaxing driving through this desert. I would have liked the boxes that spill out on the road to have some physics, but overall, its quite a nice little game.

Remote by oab 2017-08-01T08:17:30Z ♥ 2

Really cute game. The art-style is amazing, and while the gameplay is quite simple, I had fun with it. Amazing work, keep it up!

Doesn't Match by Eric Florio 2017-08-01T07:58:45Z ♥ 2

Really nice aesthetic and a fun way to use the theme. I always enjoy these types of games where you feel clumsy at the beginning but once you get a hang of the controls; it starts to feel good. Nice that you have different goals as well. I was able to light the candle and catch the match mid air. I don't know if I will be fast enough to light the candle and blow out the match though. Overall, amazing work!

Tiny Warlock by bwalter 2017-08-01T07:42:59Z ♥ 1

Really great looking game with an amazing feel. But I think I agree with the other comments in that it is quite difficult to tell what is going on. I often lost my character in the chaos, and found it difficult to see what I was fighting against. Otherwise really good job in just 48 hours!

Number Station by maxr00 2017-08-01T07:27:51Z ♥ 2

Seriously good atmosphere. I've always loved the idea of number stations and you executed this really well. Turning the dial was a little finicky but overall a pretty minor issue. Keep up the great work!

Sleepy Orphan Simulator by Barney Cumming 2017-08-01T06:51:10Z ♥ 2

Amazing audio and mood, it is quite unsettling. The controls felt a little clumsy at first but got used to it after a while and it feels satisfying when you do finally get a handle on the controls. The difficulty was just right, but sometimes it did feel like the energy was draining too quickly. Overall a seriously amazing piece of work; love that audio.

Mad Trax by boats 2017-08-01T06:21:48Z ♥ 4

This is a fun concept; having to juggle the power between turrets and moving the train quicker is a fun problem to have. The aesthetic is great, though maybe a little too much for me. I also love the details like the destructible environment. Nice work!

Power Core by AugusteTheClown 2017-08-01T05:34:39Z ♥ 2

Very well done for only 8 hours! The concept is fun and I like having to choose between creating new towers and using the cells to recharge the power core. As others have said, would love to see more work on this; I think having multiple cores to juggle would be a fun challenge.
