A very interesting concept. A nice take on the theme, however the gameplay itself is rather slow paced which while does fit the overall atmosphere I'd suggest allowing for faster movement.

I saw the screenshots and the game looks really fun, but I start the .exe and I couldn't interact with anything.
Edit: Whoops, I thought I was replying to the game!
@neferius-leviathanis thanks for the comment! I understand it about the movement speed, it is intended to be not to fast when moving the character, but I agree that it should be faster. Believe it or not, I increased it multiple times! If I decide to expand on the game, I will definitely find a way to make that better
Simple graphics and lo-fi piano music fits very well in this melancholy atmosphere. This game conveys the best of all mood.
very nice but the movement was a little slow
@jacob-valore strange, are you stuck in the house? You have to keep moving right to get out of it. Maybe I made that bit a bit too wide that it confuses people :p
It's a really interesting concept and I had fun playing it. There is a small bug when you stand on a climbable ledge and press the left and right arrow keys at the same time. The character begins to float slowly off the ledge in midair, but you can just press E to climb down as normal so it's nothing game-breaking.
Love this style game. I also love the art. I did run into a crash, but that is really okay. Great job!
I really liked the simplicity of the game, and while the movement speed was a bit slow, I personally did not find that it took away from the experience. If anything, I think it allowed one to slow down and appreciate the atmosphere of the game. Very nice game!
I love the atmosphere and the animation ! Great job !
EDITED: After a few restarts, I was able to exit the house! Wow! The art is stunning and the audio was great. I really enjoyed that background music. The concept was really cool, and on the first 'transformation' I couldn't help but say Woah. I liked it a lot!
Love the art!
Nice work for your first puzzle game! It's an interesting idea, but I think there is room for improvement with the puzzle design - I got stuck after turning into an old man the second time; I couldn't find anything to interact with. The visual art and atmosphere are amazing though! Awesome work!
The atmosphere is cool, I personally love pixel art and that kind of "sad" mood. I think I got stuck at a certain point where I became child again and I could not proceed (after becoming the grown man with a beard). Is it my fault? However it gave me feels, so good job!
@stack-overflower becoming child again is part of the puzzle, sometimes you have to return to a spot you already have been. I tried a lot of ways to find gamebreaking 'transformations' and think I fixed them all, but it's always possible that I missed one :p
Thats almost, if not 5/5 on mood. Good job! And the graphics were so good an fitted the whole experience well with music on the background. Good job!
@kultisti thank you, I appreciate it :D
The game has a outstanding atmosphere and the graphics and theme were all very nicely working together, the only thing that botthers the gameplay a little is the fact that the game is very slow as all the animations take a while to play out
Good atmospheric game, the music was nice but I notice that it would come to the end and then there would be silence for like 10 seconds which might have been unintentional but that is to long of a silence in my opinion.
Also with the climbing when you're slow climbing and stuff, when you grow up and if the jump animation was faster than the climb, that could add some feel of growth. Nice puzzle game though, I enjoyed it!
Steady and meditative. Makes you think about life and stuff. Especially when you've slept 4 hours in 2 days. I like it.
Backtracking (backcrawling?) was long, and some animations might be faster, I guess, but they were smooth and nice to watch (well maybe jump was a bit silly), and the music was pretty, so I didn't mind.
@a333 ye, I didn't feel good about the crawling back either. But it was the only way to make the puzzle work. If I were to expand this game, I would redo the map so there's less crawling. The jumping animation I just gave up on :') Misjudged time spent on other animations
One of the best games I have tested so far. Very poetic and an awesome aesthetic, good job!
@vladirien thank you very much :D
This is a game I really liked! The minimalistic artstyle and the music fit perfectly together! It's not totally obvious that you have to keep moving to the right at the beginning.. At first I thought something is not working correctly. Maybe add something more obvious to show that?
@cozmic thank you! yes, I had a bit of a time struggle at the end and forgot about the beginning where I wanted to make an animated arrow to indicate the right arrow key. But I did add a little arrow on the ground, but that's a bit too subtle I think :p
@cuppycat I noticed that, but wasn't sure what it's for. I tried clicing on it first. Maybe a little info text would be helpful, somthing like "Move outside" or a blinking arrow directly at the door would do just fine I think.
Great concept! And love the sepia tone art style! Really sets in the mood of the revisiting memories sort of thing... Overall the idea fits the theme well as you are trading moments of your life as currency to progress though the puzzle. Anyways, fantastic work!
@gamekrazzy thanks a lot! I was afraid the trading moments of your life wasn't obvious enough, but I guess it worked out :D
I enjoyed the theme and feel of the game a lot, although the speed was a bit too slow. I wasn't sure where to go and walking around took quite awhile.
I really liked this game, the graphics, the mood and the end :)
Best game I've tested so far! Really got into the sad feeling. Speed was slow at times.
This was a fantastic experience. Loved the music and the mood of the game. Great job!
:'( Beautiful. 5 stars. Thanks for the experience.
is this the end ? :)

@black-potion that is correct!
I started the game and couldn't move or do anything. I didn't rate your game because I couldn't play it, i'm just commenting so that you know of this bug :)
@felipedermann have you tried holding right for a while? The character is inside the house, but I forgot to make that clear to the player. Maybe that's why you think you're stuck. If you really can't move, I should look into that :o You should be able to use WASD or Arrow keys
The art and music are amazing in this game. They really helped telling the story. Good job on this game!
@cuppycat wow I feel really stupid now haha But yeah it's a little misleading that you have to hold for a few seconds, maybe if there was more feedback when you hold it that would make it more clear.
I played it fully now and you managed to set a great mood with simple mechanics. I felt like I wanted to know what was happening, why I was thrown in this destroyed world and why Beth's shop was destroyed, or who Beth is to being with. This curiosity made me get all the way to the end and I felt quite touched with the ending. I must admit though, i didn't quite understand what exactly happened in the story, I'm a little slow to figure these things out hahaha
But as you can see you managed to get people's interest with your story and the overall mood and theme, very nice job! :D
@felipedermann thanks a lot :D the story is a bit open to interpretation, but I had my own version that I worked from to design some stuff :)
The beginning is definitely a thing I should fix, haha
Simple and right to the point. Nailed a good entry! I liked the graphics, particularly the animation when death appears/disappears! I kept moving back and forth to trigger it :P
I am an adult! I have no time for such childish things as elevators!
That was a sweet experience. Pretty good too for your first ever puzzle game! My main gripe is that while I do think it works *very* well thematically, the really slow movement does get tiring, especially given how much ground you have to cover. The music is also mixed sort of quietly, which is a shame because it's quite beautiful.
Speaking about beautiful, the artwork is great, and the age mechanic is clever. Everything here definitely contributes to the core theme you were looking to express, which I think is something missing from a lot of Ludum Dare games. Great work.
This game is so polished and cool, I'm glad you told me how to get out of the building at the beginning though, I was quite confused.
The animations were awesome, and you even had time to design the puzzles, such a cool entry!
Sweet game. I got stuck as a child with a bomb and a ring, and no one to give them to :( Might have missed to bring down an elevator or something.
Nice art and music! Interesting fit with the theme. More sound effects and a faster pace would go a long way. Definitely a solid entry though!
