Awesome game! I was waiting for this one! Impressive art and really smooth controls. You really did this fast! Good job!

geraldfingburke 2018-04-23 16:08

Everything looks and sounds really good, but this just feels like a well polished breakout clone.

corbak 2018-04-24 07:34

Your game is polished, the effects are smooth. It is really enjoyable to play this little mash-up. Well polished and slick. Well done :)

jesper-k 2018-04-24 10:22

I really like the effects that happens when the ball hits something, it gives that feeling the ball is heavy, and the controls feels good and smooth too. Nice job on this one :-)

lereveur 2018-04-24 22:33

Lot of juicy animation and sfx, and it's working a lot on the mood! The mash-up is working very well too, but this way, it works a little too well ^_^ : I feel like they are not incompatible, they even seems very close in this game. However, I never played Ultraflow, so I can't say how far they are from each other. Anyways, I just played a good, entertaining and polished game, as I could expect from you, as always. So, one more time : good job! :D

cool game, i hope to play it on smartphone with to many levels

shelvid 2018-04-25 18:58

Pretty fun simple little game. Mouse sensetivity was a little bit of an issue but nevertheless pretty good entry!

linus 2018-04-28 17:03

I really liked this game! It felt so polished and the music and graphics was excellent. It could have been more connected to the theme instead of simply limiting the amount of bounces. Maybe having some other mechanic like adding to the amount of bounces everytime you catch one with your paddle could work.

The gameplay by itself was very nice and I got stuck in this game for quite some time, the first 3 levels were quite easy and level 4 and 5 was very difficult. Well balanced. It made for a very nice mood.

This could definitely become a mobile game with a few more levels. Excellent job!

@linus - thank you for your kind words. I agree with you - this little project could be more interesting adding some features, but you know Ludumdare - in les than 72 hours we cannot achieve all what we planned. So I did essential. However I am working on this game and I hope that I will could share something interesting soon. Thank you ++

Really enjoyed the game a lot. I haven't played the other game these people in the comment section are talking about. But this feels like a really good and fresh game to me. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

This has a really cool minimal aesthetic. It looks and sounds and plays great. Solid entry. Good job!

loudrasiel 2018-05-01 13:18

this game is good, the grphics is symple but good and the audio is very good and the idea is good

jk5000 2018-05-01 17:29

This is a very well made LD game, with some good graphics and some really good music. Well done.

gustavo-christino 2018-05-01 21:43

Very cool visual effects. The control sometimes gets difficult, I'll play to finish (I only reached the third level (image)) ... The music and sound effects were nice as well.

In the third phase my ball was held horizontally, nor did I know that it would be possible. Hahahahahahah. I missed Pinball's ability to slap the table (by slightly changing the alignment and such).

Hi geckoo! Love the glow and the visual effects very much, the game shows a lot of feedback and is extremely clear to read which helps a lot. The angular/round shapes are a nice new touch to the old Arkanoid gameplay, as now the ball bounces around even more, and it's not about trying to get a lot of points by breaking the colored block. Instead, it's trying to avoid them. The downside is that in later levels it feels a bit random; as a player, I can't influence the bullet enough, no matter how well I play, so it's more a question of luck than one of skill. Granted, I played rather poorly. ;) Here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=md_wmDhaD_w

geckoo1337 2018-05-03 16:46

Hi Phil! Thank you for your interest in my project. I liked the amazing keynote that you did and I follow you on Twitter. To do simple, I like always what you do. About Ultroïd, after a while, a skilled player can control bounce (morer or less) efficiently. This way he can reach goal - my point of view if you allow me to argue a little bit. I will take a look at your video soon. So you made my day. I wish you you the best Phil ++

philstrahl 2018-05-03 17:51

Well, then it's just down to my lack of skill as is clearly evident in the video. ;)

mic-matrix91 2018-05-08 21:26

Simple art but amazing visual effects! I like the colors, the camera shake and the brick shaking when you hit an obstacle.. everything seems a music visualizer! Very good music and nice xylophone sound effects, very good work! I can't pass the 4th level!

rombus 2018-05-08 22:40

Hey man! you've got a really polished game here! the music and animations are awesome, also a nice touch on allowing only 41 bounces!

Congrats on the entry!

cptn-b 2018-05-14 11:24

First things first, your art style is very nice. The little intricate animation of the bar is very nice. Letting the bar bounce arround when it begins moving gives it a certain level vibrancy.

Mechanics wise it took me some time to figure out how to controle the ball. However after I knew what I was doing I enjoyed playing all puzzles.

All in all I would say that you have a pretty finished game, even with musik what you don't always see^^

Very interesting genre mix; the bounce limit and the yellow goal makes it feel like a golf game. I had a lot of fun playing this, but I feel like maybe I only progressed through luck. Maybe I just need to play more to get the hang of it though. Visuals and audio are amazing; awesome work!
