Fun little game. Control were kind of hard to use. I wish W and/or up arrow would jump and space to shoot.

Love the art and the animation. I noticed a bug where I went off screen and then I couldn't figure out how to get _back_ on screen.

I think this would work well with some more rogue-like elements like procedurally generated levels.

Nice work!

I like the aesthetic! The art is clean and stylish. The shotgun is the business haha once I tried it I didn't switch back. I think the score should reset on game over rather than every time you go up so you know how you did at the end. I had fun playing - good job!

Love the art, looks so great!

Lovely art style.

Found the actual gameplay to be a bit monotonous. I also felt like I should be able to get higher up in the level, but I couldn't jump very high and the little jump pad is in a bad spot.

Lack of iframes (or lack of clear communication about them) made some enemies feel cheesy.

In general I think the combat is pretty close to being fun, but needs tweaked a bit to really get me excited to play another round.

I agree with @rob-avery, the controls were a little bit hard to use. Maybe instead of the letters j k and l the three mouse buttons?

A great game nethertheless!

I like the world art, reminds me of The End is Nigh. The gameplay kinda reminded me of Cobalt. Would be a cool co-op experience.

I like the arcade action in this game. I enjoyed the knockback on the gun which made shooting very satisfying. The platforming felt a bit off at times. The double jump in particular could use some work. You seem to be adding to the vertical velocity instead of resetting it when you double jump. This creates a situation where the way to get max height is to double tap the button as soon as you jump, as pressing it at the peak of your jump or while you're falling gets you very little height. This winds up feeling strange and gives players fewer options in mid air (it's essentially just a high jump at that point).

I also found the control scheme quite awkward. Since there's only two guns, I don't see the need to have two buttons for swapping. Surely you could just have one button which swaps back and forth.

I like the idea of having this multi-life healthbar, but it doesn't really matter since dying and restarting the whole game are essentially the same thing. You'd need to have some sort of upgrade or progression system which resets when your bar runs out to make the healthbar actually matter. That said, I do appreciate how the arena is randomly generated, giving me some incentive to keep going. Overall, this is a pretty solid game that I enjoyed quite a bit. Nice work!

Cool game, feels and looks really great. I love the idea of procedurally generated arena. Are they procedurally generated? I'm still not sure. Or there are a few handcrafted levels?

A few tips for improvement (for my point of view):

- it could be only my personal preference but Id' like to kill enemies on one shot, I think it feels better. At least with one weapon

- there are 3 weapons but they feel more or less the same, it would be better if they were more different (lower shoot speed and more damage vs. fast shooting with lower damage, accuracy on long distance vs. short distance with wide scatter..)

- I was little confused by weapon switching mechanism.. but I could use to it I guess

Anyway, that's just nitpicking, for a jam game it's really impressive work!

I know I probably didn't survive long enough to spend points on upgrades, but I'm not exactly sure when I can upgrade my player. Overall it's a pretty neat and funny game, especially with the enemy sound effects. Reminds me of playing a cartoon network game.

Hi! I played your game and It looked very promising!

I really like the art!

The problem is the machinegun is useless because of very short range... The only option is shotgun.

Really good job. The game is fun, fast paced and really good looking.

A couple things that may help: - Controls felt weird. If you have only 2 weapons you could have a button to swap weapon and another one to shoot. - Sometimes I didn't know if I was doing damage or not - Jump feels a bit weird. I use this video on my 2D games ALL the time (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KiK0Aqtmzc) - When doing the double jump reset the vertical velocity to 0 before adding the second jump force to have it actually go up when falling - More particles would have been great

It's a long list but I only made it since I really enjoyed the game and feel that it could be even beter. Congrats! ;)

Fun game! The procedural generated levels make it fresh each time, the only problem was that the enemies could move through the platforms, which it thought was a little unfair. The graphics are well polished and the squishy sounds are fantastic. I would just add ambient background noise or something so those nice sound effects blend into it. Another suggestion i have is that i would enable the player to shoot up and down. Right now you can only fire on the horizontal axis, but it would be great to also be able to shoot on the vertical axis, maybe by pressing the up or down key when firing. But anyway: a very good game!
