LD42 — Running out of space

Space Escape! by budadude 2018-08-14T01:50:40Z

I liked the game, I think the music was good for that feeling of rush that you need. The sensitivity for me was way too high and it made me not want to push through with the level. The red light flashing is also a bit much in the first area (when paired with oversensitive controls it can be hard to tell what you're able to interact with). The level design was pretty cool! Overall I thought it was really nice just the red flashing and the sensitivity would turn me off a bit. Great job overall :D

Bus Stop Blast by NotSpaghettiGames 2018-08-14T02:31:35Z

I really enjoyed the overall mechanic of the bus losing parts. I wish the school was a different color or more noticeable because the first few times I played it I was looking for a green indicator. I love how the houses fall apart and how the fire hydrants explode. I kinda wish the bus was more responsive but I know that can be hard to mess with with drifting and boosting. It was really fun to play and such a good job for a 72 hour game. I wish I implemented as much detail as you did with the scenery :)

CRUMBLE by whycardboard 2018-08-14T01:23:37Z

I really enjoyed it! The sound when I fell through the first time scared me but it was great. I think the music in the level makes me feel more dread rather than a rushing feeling so not sure if that's what you were going for. I like the snap the player has to the items that you can pick up but I wish it snapped a little faster during movement as well. Overall it was really fun to play great job

Comfort Zone by radow 2018-08-14T01:38:01Z

This gives such a good picture of what it's like to be socially anxious at parties or even to just value your personal space when pushing through crowds. I like that you can push people a little bit and that there's different achievements. Overall really fun.

Out of Memory Exception by fieryvictorystar 2018-08-14T01:44:17Z

The mechanic of placing the block is cool, if the block gets placed. Not sure if the colliders allowed the blocks to slip into the platform but my tiles disappeared a lot in the beginning. I think the background could be a little darker to draw eyes to the platform a bit easier because all the textures were a bit much for me personally, but I love what you're doing with the game. So much implemented in 72 hours, good job!

Refugee Rescue by William Akins 2018-08-14T01:59:22Z

The moment I heard the boat sputter to life I knew I would like this game a lot. I like the resource management and the fact that the boat will continue moving with thrust which feels pretty realistic with waves and all. I like all the different voice elements and the fact that there's a lot of variation. I'm not very good at managing resources but it got a really genuine laugh from me so great job :)

First World Hoarder by Confituur 2018-08-14T02:14:51Z

I love how the game looks and how the driver throws the box out onto our step. The only issue I really have is that dragging things is a little too bungee cord-ish to me. If it was tighter I think I'd have an easier time moving things around but it might be something that just makes the game more difficult on purpose so I'm not quite sure. I like the music from the boombox, and that you can move it around. Scrolling is a little hard on the phone but I love these types of games. If you do decide to polish it post mortem I can't wait to play more of it :)

Cavern Crawl by SpoopsMcGee 2018-08-14T02:17:49Z

@craigduth absolutely! We had a bit of problems with collisions throughout the time we were making it. Thanks for trying it out! :) Is there a way to continuously implement that? We originally thought it was because the walls weren't big enough

@craigduth thank you so much! I'll give that a try in the future

@popdaddygames @dominic-graziano @darkguardsman @bustosman thank you all for your comments :) I hope to work with everyone on making movements more fluid and def fixing colliders. I’m really glad that other than that you all enjoyed it. Thank you again šŸ˜„

@confituur thank you! I hope we can improve it enough post mortem to make it more responsive because the atmosphere is my favorite part.
