Very simple but it does it's job very well. Very professional, I could see this as the type of game everyone would install on school computers. I liked the game start and end sounds that's what the ball hitting sound should have been, the little static sound didn't sound too good to me. Very innovative and fun take on the theme though!

My highscore is 3:21!

Very innovative, like previously commenter said, take on the theme & the classic game.

Some minor glitchy behaviour when the ball is trapped between a bunch of blocks, it sort of just teleports around. Furthermore, while innovative the game isn't particularily fun, but well executed nevertheless. It's near impossible to get a good clean row-completetion and it's just gonna get messy. We humans don't like messy things, we like to organize and keep it clean. For that reason I think it'd be more satisfying if the blocks were much larger, so that we could more easily set up for doing row completions, which would be the main incentive of the game. OR, going the way you went, making it more challanging, faster. The blocks being created are used as a way of throwing the player's trajectory prediction off guard, and the increasing speed + lowering of the roof enhances the challenge of predicting the trajectory. And this was really only a challenge until 3 minutes in, at which point I am pretty bored. What I'm trying to say is: faster ball speed earlier!

Contrary to the previous commenter, I liked the minimalistic audio, it was a quite satisfying thuddy sound. Responsive & well adjusted controls; not too fast or too slow. Overall, a solid entry!

Really reversed break-out! Cool idea!

I love the idea, but the whole game is kind of a loading bar. There isn't much motivation to keep the player playing. Maybe use larger blocks and some elements that gives the player some satisfaction.

Very neat idea, I just wish there was a bit more incentive to keep playing. It got kind of old pretty quick.

But still a fun little game, nice entry!

Your idea is really cool. Really hard for me to play LOL

I really enjoyed playing, I only miss some power ups to make the game more interactive, but its very good finished. Keep on it!! Nice job!!

PD: There are some bugs on the creation of the blocks when you hit the top, but it doesn't affect the gameplay so no worries.

Nice entry dude. Actualy love the concept. Is there on mobile market some game like this? Do know. Just make a mobile version and try it. It will be really challenging with online leaderboard included.

Your game is very nice to play. The general impact is positive. As a professional game dev I would suggest... just kidding haha Nonetheless, if you want to work on this project more I suggest making a difficulty incresing algorithm. Graphics - very nice. Controls are also working very well. Maybe you could also take a glimpse at my game? I already enlarged it into a wholesome Android game :)

I very much like the simplicity of this game, but at first this game feels as if it drags on, making me a little impatient to reach near the end. Maybe find some way to up the pace and make the game more engaging. Good entry!

Cool idea. It could really get me hooked, but I feel that it would be a better loop if score wasn't simple time, but perhaps you got 100 for each first row brick, 200 for next and so on. Maybe a bonus for when you manage to build up many bricks in one go without the ball returning to the ground that sort of thing. And highscores. Personal and online.

The idea is nice but it gets a bit boring pretty quickly, unfortunately. The bounce mechanic is also a bit strange (I don't really get why the ball behave that way?), but this is a nice entry otherwise.

Like others said, a few more content would probably benefit your game. Maybe for a future update? :)

Nice game! I like the idea, and it was a bit challenging especially when the ball got hit to go faster. I feel like the visuals could have used improvement, especially for a simpler game like this. It was fun, but having that juice factor makes it even better. I watched this talk with a game very similar about adding "juice", and I think it's great to learn from (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fy0aCDmgnxg). Good work!

Great game! A very simple concept, but innovative at the same time. Controls were great, and I sat on your game for five minutes straight. Good job man!

antonsem 2018-09-02 17:48

Great idea! Implementation could be better but hey, this is a game jam game so good job!

gildar76 2018-09-03 00:02

The idea is kind of similar to mine :) Nice entrey! Would have been nice with more graphics or additional mechanics, but my entry suffered from similar problems.
