It looks like your link is broken, I'm not seeing a download anywhere on your gamejolt page :(

erick-alves 2018-08-15 04:43

Sorry, my upload in GameJolt failed

croben 2018-08-15 04:45

@erick-alves both links don't work.

erick-alves 2018-08-15 04:53

@croben I tried the Itch.io and it worked

drkr 2018-08-15 04:59

I can't seem to find the download button?

croben 2018-08-15 04:59

@erick-alves sorry 404 error

awix 2018-08-15 04:59

All links do not contain a copy game client.

erick-alves 2018-08-15 05:10

Sorry, the second link is working now. I forgot to put it as public.

I think the idea's pretty solid and the presentation not bad but unfortunately you probably needed a few more levels, preferably some more complicated to really take advantage of the mechanics.

popdaddygames 2018-08-15 05:39

More levels-- but great work! :)

darkmonkey-inc 2018-08-15 05:45

I thought It was an intersting consept and I wish there was more

2018-08-15 06:05

I think the game was interesting. I wish there was more levels and a better explanation at the beginning of the game.

thomas-olsson 2018-08-15 06:24

Hello, nice job, but there is a problem : I noticed that if I spam jump, I can avoid blocks (even in corridors where I should not be able to?)

micdoes 2018-08-15 06:26

The game is very cute, and it was super fun, but when it started getting interesting it ended, wish I could see more!

bustosman 2018-08-15 09:42

Yeah it's definitely too short, mechanics were decent, and didn't really see how the game fits the theme. Good try!

hanin 2018-08-15 14:23

I think this game has a pretty interesting concept! It did however take a bit for me to understand the idea of the game so maybe that's something to consider. Another thing as well is that every time I restart, the music restarts as well. Probably not something you want to do especially since this is a game where you'll be restarting a LOT. It doesn't fit with the theme very well but I can see the parallels.

Overall, it's a good shot!

I enjoyed learning how to play just from the design of the first and second level. Suggestion: Maybe add a counter next to the door to better indicate how many tiles you have left until the door closes.

erick-alves 2018-08-16 01:13

@thomas-olsson You found an interesting bug, thanks

wxzuir 2018-08-17 04:40

Great idea and reallllly love it! Suggestion: What if the door won't move when the player touch the blocks that have touched before?

darkguardsman 2018-08-18 04:35

Could use more of a description than "The game shows a mechanic that might be interesting for a platform-puzzle" as not all of use know what platform games normally contain.

The mechanic itself is nice, I think I have seen it before. However, it feels a bit lacking in presentation. The first areas were not bad but then you hit areas were the door instantly slams down. Not in a slow way either. First few steps the door creeps down. Then when you get next to the door it slams 50% of the way down. This leaves a rather poor experience.

Over all the idea is nice, the game is ok and the levels need work.

Possible suggestion is to have tiles already stepped on not repeat.

balance686 2018-08-18 06:05

I dig the sprite work as well as the mechanic you demonstrated. I also enjoyed the music although it shouldn't keep starting over. I don't really see the theme utilized at all but I'd enjoy playing a more fleshed out and refined version of this game nonetheless. Nice submission!

fork0 2018-08-18 11:08

If only you had more levels that exploit that interesting game mechanic...

tigerclaw 2018-08-18 22:14

It's a neat, fun little game. I wish there were more levels. I also wish it was clearer how many tiles you had left before the door closed.

carlos-giraldo 2018-08-18 22:21

I'ts a shame there are not more levels cause the game was starting to get good. They game is about efficiency. It can be hard to balance with the levels being to straightforward. So adding more dynamic elements that make players compromise the predicted path is good. Like you were doing at the end with the enemies. Keep it up!

raktou 2018-08-19 00:45

I loved the idea that more you walk on the blocks, more the door will close!

johnnwfs 2018-08-19 18:49

With a little effort this could be a good platform puzzler. Good luck when expanding on the concept!

kobrar 2018-08-19 19:05

With more complex levels, this can become a very cool game. The base idea is solid.

mza 2018-08-19 19:57

Unique mechanic indeed. I like the way you combined aspects of memmory-puzzle and platforming. However, on the 2nd/3rd level, I was there stuck for ages and couldnt progress :(.

Your logo on your game page and the description made the game more intriguing to play. Its like a unpoened suprise. A few screenshots would help also.

amkingtrp 2018-08-22 13:29

Interesting concept. The first time I played it I ran in windowed mode (4:3) and couldn't see the portcullis so had no idea why I couldn't exit the screen. :) If you're intending to extend this game (and I'd suggest it's definitely worth doing) I'd recommend maybe limiting the available resolutions (if possible).
