Well done! Makes fun to play. Reminds me to my game :D

I liked the idea and hoped to get deeper look inside of computers programs, but sadly there wasn't really much to do.

Its games as creative as these that make rating really fun! Great idea that fits the theme well! It would be nice to have some soundtrack, but maybe that wouldn't fit with the game very well. Great idea!

Very good. The ones where you have to choose a time are scary. I feel that there should be more obstacles added, and maybe another thing to do at the same time. Loved the Ui, Welldone!!!

Wow, I like this game! It's an interpretation of the theme, I've not seen so far. My computer restarting due to updates is really on the most annoying things that can happen when I'm in rush. The game is really solid (I found no bugs) and you need to keep your focus on several things at once and avoid pressing the false buttons. I really like it!

Very well done game. good graphics and fun to play. However, it would be better if you had more obstacle variations. I really liked it Good job ;)

What a neat game! It really felt like you were in a real OS. The puzzles / challanges were quite stressful to keep on top of, but that just made it that much more intense. Got some real FNAF vibes from. I could see this being really interesting with a couple more obstacles. It was a bit frustrating getting kicked out from the game though every time you lost and having to sit through that intro dialouge again. But in the end, I actually had quite fun!

cool to see another entry made with godot. i like the approach of the theme, very unique. gameplay is fun but some additional meachanics would have been cool. my game crashed but i was not sure if its supposed to happen when you lose? anyway nice job!

Cool but kinda short. There were so many options like chat, task manager and so on - would've been cool if more of them were available. Also rectangle select on the desktop should be considered if you strive for realism. ^^

Pretty stressful! I do agree with some other people that more unique obstacles could be nice, but what you had was a good mix. Though, the 'this feature requires a system update' thing was a little annoying, for a bit I thought actually letting the game restart might unlock them or something. Fun concept, well executed!

Way too easy after realizing I could pause the decryption to cool down the CPU. So I'm not sure that I played it right. I just constantly postponed the restart and paused/resumed the decryption and the game ended when decryption was done. But still a funny idea. And a little bit scary that a real system message from my computer popped up right over your game :D

Such a clever idea. I really liked it, and how each dialogue "solution" was different 😂. I also liked how you just made a bunch of features unavailable until the system updated. It took me a few tries to understand the CPU temp killing the computer.

A few suggested improvements: - Have a "restarting" animation that plays out when you lose, show "update failed", then restart the game, rather than exiting. (or something similar) - Add a "shutting down" victory animation like the "restarting" one. - Hardware spy CPU temp should be a bar or have a warning icon or some kind of indicator for what "too hot" is.

Nicely done! I felt the existential dread of windows updates and dark UI patterns. Once you've figured out the 3 different lose conditions it becomes very easy to keep it going. Maybe more tasks or randomization would help mix it up

binney 2020-04-21 15:50

extremely relatable

I love the use of dark patterns! I did find the iteration time a little frustrating, I gave up after my third attempt because I was tired of waiting for the Decripter to unlock each time. Always a fan of fake OS games!
