hi! great to see another twine submission at this jam :) i liked the way you interpreted the theme, and the clones were fun to listen to. i haven't watched Birdman, were you inspired be that movie? i probably wish that there were a bit more gameplay in the second part of the game, but overall it was nice.

"You look out over the city skyline. Whatever else this night had in store, you were ready."—a nice way to end a story. I like the positive note. The game runs very smoothly, and I was happily surprised to see it wasn't too difficult.

@gamayun-games I had not recalled there was a movie superhero called Birdman. I was trying to parody Batman's bat signal with some, random superhero name that had not been used yet. Should have googled . Glad you enjoyed the game.

gamayun-games 2026-04-21 21:04

@kobato-games haha I thought it was a mix of two! a fun coincidence :)

Ok, that's a nice change of pace from me dying in other jam games over and over :D Very nice to see a Twine entry, and this one was short and sweet :) Fun and simple story, taking the theme into account pretty well.

I like how the clones convo references the Superman thingy: is it a plane? is it a bird? NO! It's Superman! (or sth like this xD)

Very sweet ending!

ALSO

Me being a translator and an editor and a writer... It's hard not to go into "edit mode" xD I tried my best not to...

However! Here are some typos / mistakes I found ;D

A few stars mange to shine through. - probably meant to be "manage"?

deep in some arguement - argument

Fortunately, the blinding light obscurs - obscures

You shift the lid just enough to peak out. - peek out

Fear not citizen - add comma: Fear not, citizen.

I am hear and will make short work of these Multiplier clones. - I am here

Looks like you had to go to a lot of trouble to do this. - through a lot of trouble

You sit down on the roof to wait. - You sit down on the roof and wait.

You know rooftops are often the scene of climatic battles between superheroes and supervillians, but at the moment, it seemed to be away from the action. - seems to be away (the tense has to be the same)

@kanity Thanks. I had to type up the game quickly and Twine doesn't have spellcheck, so errors were inevitable. I'll fix what you found after the jam :)

kanity 2026-04-23 16:46

@kobato-games No problem, I just can't help myself when I see errors in texts xD Professional deformation :')

Nice Twine game. The story flows smoothly, and the theme is woven in very naturally. Overall, well done!

I've not played many games like this before but I really enjoyed it. It was fun and engaging seeing the story unfold. I liked the colorful descriptions and the conversations between the clones.

Really cool with a story that was not from the superhero's point of view, but from a regular person (that still did something heroic). Great take on the theme.

fun little experience! i saw the spelling errors too but those just make it feel more human i think. enjoyed the positioning as a random citizen too. good job!

baturinsky 2026-04-26 10:15

You mislabel the game link as the "source". You should have both the source link and the playable game link. Not too late to fix it, you can edit your entry text/links/add versions/etc even after the deadline.

kobato-games 2026-04-26 16:36

@baturinsky Thanks. I had to upload quickly before going somewhere. I'll fix it.

Very cool!

This is super cute! Great to see a twine game at the jam :)

Great little twine adventure game, had fun playing through it!

gideongriebenow 2026-05-05 18:41

+1. Good luck with the last 3 ratings!

zettelkasten 2026-05-05 18:56

Good job! Kudos also for supporting phone screen sizes!

muraena 2026-05-05 20:17

Sweet little adventure! Had the luck to pick the Chair first and figured it all ot from there aha :)

kobato-games 2026-05-06 01:26

@gideongriebenow Thanks! I've gotten up to 24 ratings now :sparkles:

@zettelkasten Glad to hear it's comfortable for phones. That's one of the nice things about Twine. Seems to work on a lot of platforms and supports the fullscreen button.

Normally I get stuck on text based adventures but this one was a breeze. It would be nice if returning to a previous location would reveal updated options to cut out an unnecessary step (such as the chair).

Love Twine games on LD, it's such a rare thing nowadays (I did one entry in it back in the day). Awesome game, I liked the writing and the humor was just great. The scope was nice and short. The only thing I'd add is the following:

!> It would be nice be able to return back to the roof straight from the office. In general, with Twine games it's nice to have an option to skip a path if we're backtracking.

Either way, because of the well-thought scope this isn't really a big issue. Congrats on the entry!

tanjou 2026-05-07 11:55

Nice way to handle the theme! Good job!

I like this setting! Our game also uses the sounds of birds as guidance. Our ideas are in perfect agreement! Ha ha ha! The gameplay is also very interesting.
