I love hedgehogs ! I feel so bad when they got run over..
Nice little game. At first I wasn't sure to how I should play it, was tried to put the hedgehogs out of the game view's bounds, but then they got killed off-screen by a car, so I kept them inside the screen the next times.. It doesn't look like it but it's pretty hard !
The graphics are very clean, and the sound design is well made.

I love this game! I think it would work really well as a mobile game if it had more development time.
The sound design in this game is really good. The music is nice and all the sound effects help give a good feel to the world (and the hedgehogs sound super cute!).
I think the game could use some improvement though. I would like to see an indicator for where the next car is going to be. Right now it feels kind of random, an indicator could bring some more strategy into the game. Furthermore, the hedgehogs were a bit hard to click on sometimes.
Really fun! The art style is very nice and there is a lot of polish there. I love the little squeak the hedgehogs made when picking them up.
Shame they're so suicidal though hahaha.

Cool game with nice music and sound. However was it intentional to be able to place the hedgehogs outside of the play screen as i found out that was possible and made the game very easy. So either that could be fixed or the spawn rate of the hedgehog could be increased.
Really cute, and sad at the same time :cry: Found out a way to keep them from going on the street by picking one and colliding the other with it! Almost safe, except when you have to mouse over the road :sob: Well done!
@svarttand Thanks for the feedback ! Actually, being able to place the hedgehogs outside of the play screen was intentional, because otherwise the game would be much more complicated when the timer is over 1 minute, and when there are over 20 hedgehogs on screen, being able to clean the screen a bit can prove quite useful. Concerning the spawn rate, I agree that it might be too easy, but since the hedgehogs' patterns are pretty random, I didn't want to make the difficulty curve too harsh for the newcomers, so I decided to settle for the actual rate, so that the game gets harder progressively.
Nice little game. Audio is nice, hedgehogs are nice, but gameplay is too much on the simple side for me. Btw thats how the street could look like after 11 minutes: HedgehogSurvival_2_cropped.png Although I let the hedgehogs crawl onto it. Maybe limiting the pickup distance could make situations like this possible in real gameplay :)
@akronsus Thanks for the feedback! When designing the game, I didn't want to make the difficulty curve too harsh, but since the generation and movements of the hedgehogs are totally random, the game can get quite easy, like in your playthrough. Maybe limiting the randomness factor would have been a better option to ensure that the difficulty doesn't vary as much between playthrough.
What I like: - Very simple and relaxing casual game. I like the vibe. - The production quality is quite good. - Sound effect is a nice touch. What can be improved: - The fact that I can throw hedgehogs off screen feels a bit weird. - The collisions sometimes is a bit wonky.
Cute game. Scope felt a bit reserved but fair considering this is a compo entry, overall seems decently polished. I didn't like that cars could run over hedgehogs currently "in my hand". All in all, well done!
Graphics are cute and game play feels quite good. It did get pretty hard for me pretty quick
Cute! Music is quite relaxing and their squeaks are adorable. It should probably get progressively harder with time for a challenge.. but on the other hand, I kinda just had a pretty nice, relaxing few minutes with the game and that felt alright too.
Great entry! I love both it's visuals and the sound/music, they work really well in this game. It could use a bit more variety. Right now it fells the same throughout the entire playthrough, making interest in keeping those hedgehogs alive fall down quickly. Perhaps slowly introducing over time more types of hedgehogs, with different movement speeds and patterns, or maybe adding a special car once in a while. Maybe a police car or an ambulance moving faster than normal cars? Telegraphing it with blinking lights would be enough to give the player warning.
All in all, I liked it. It's a simple entry, but a good one. I enjoyed playing it. ;)
I really liked this game, it's cute and a cool idea. At first I was thinking that it seemed a little too easy but then it got much harder very quickly, I only made it 52 seconds. The graphics and audio are nice too!
Cute little game! Every summer we have two or three hedgehogs that keep coming at night to our grandma's orchard and we love that little creatures.
In the game it took me a while to figure out that placing a hedgehog in the way of another will cause them to turn around. I was scoring just a few seconds but after that I managed to keep them alive until 2:05 :)
BTW we also made a game about keeping alive wild creatures from human dangers, hope you have a few minutes to check it out!
You should rate and leave feedback for other games! Because then more people would see and play this game, which is rather charming.
Nice game! After a while it started lagging (I played the web version). Probably because of all the footprints? After a while the game got stale anyway. even though there were more hedgehogs appearing I never found it challenging. I like the graphics, though I had these black hedgehogs which seemed like a graphics error? Anyway, good job on finishing a game!
