Nice little retro game. Theres not much you can do, but the things you can do, work. Thats important.

begocio 2020-04-20 17:13

Omg, this game is so hard! Really liked the idea. Nice game

technosander 2020-04-20 17:14

Easy to play and understand. Good idea. But I think there's not a lot to do, you just need to walk around an stand on the cables. Still like it though!!;)

corporation 2020-04-20 17:19

thats some real interpretation of stay alive) the game is hard, just like life is

adamwatters 2020-04-20 18:46

While there isn't a huge amount to do, I do still like the retro feel of your game. Overall a pretty good game.

Fun little arcade game! A nice way to make light of the current pandemic. Plus points for Pico-8 of course!

greizgh 2020-04-21 17:37

Nice little game, made it to the end of year with 200$ left. Did not found it too challenging, it could benefit from some increased difficulty over time. different cutter pattern maybe? Like eating 2 tiles of cable?

obscenelytrue 2020-04-21 20:38

Nice arcade game with this good retro feeling.

adam-clayden 2020-04-22 15:55

Nice game! Always cool to play something made in Pico-8. It feels like a classic arcade game, similar to Donkey Kong and is quite charming. It's missing some collision elements though, but I imagine if I had to go down each chain before going up another, the game would be a lot more difficult.

Overall it was good!

What a cute little game! I survived the whole year after a while. ❤ the graphics and fun to see a Pico 8 game.

The game could need some sounds when a cable is broken, when you repair it and when a building gets or loses electricity. It would keep the motivation up.

Neat concept for a game. Those rats are so destructive. I made it to August then I ran out of money.

meelo 2020-04-28 02:32

I made $290, woo-hoo! I think a greater variety of challenge would benefit this game - either new types of dangers for the cables that require a different solution than standing on them, or something that constrains where the player is (even something as simple as "oh this particular rat is super dangerous; don't touch it"). I quite like the graphical style here - it looks reasonably polished and has lots of nice touches, like the brief displays of cost or the little money signs next to the homes.

oda 2020-04-28 20:48

Yay, I finished the year with $190!

Nice little Pico-8 game, some cheap sound effects would have been great to give it more life, but great work, that was fun playing it!

darthone 2020-04-30 06:32

Made it to the end of the year with 160$. Like others have said I think some simple sound effects would have really made the game pop

btnpresser 2020-05-02 16:06

Super simple, but I found this game adorable nonetheless. I liked you theming it not only with the theme itself, but some humor about current events :)

kodran 2020-05-02 23:36

Pretty fun and cute! I found I kept trying to tease off the wire early so I'd have to re-do the whole thing which was bruutal. Had a lot of fun, good job! :)

westmave 2020-05-04 17:57

I like the idea and your interpretation of the Theme, especially in the Situation the world is in right now. Sound would have been nice.

evan-minto 2020-05-06 04:57

Simple whack-a-mole concept, but fun for a round or two. The simple visuals work pretty well and I figured everything out almost immediately.

bulle 2020-05-06 08:51

Nice arcade game :)! - Ended up with 445$ - like a lot that it has the arcade feeling where you look for small changes to know where to go next.

8bitcharlie 2020-05-07 12:58

I really enjoyed playing it. Good entry!

synystercola 2020-05-08 01:49

Wow I had a lot to keep an eye on, but this was fun! Simple, yet challenging!

goffmog 2020-05-08 16:10

Really smart use of the theme and I loved the fact that there was some strategy involved in which breaks you should fix first based on your income stream. Nailed the authentic 8-bit presentation too.

jajo 2020-05-12 11:57

That was aggressively old-school. Nice job :)
