I like the idea, but the early game is really tough! It was hard to tell when or how to hit the enemies. Still - I like the idea of reducing your health to make yourself stronger!
@rosymaple We had a second enemy that shot projectiles, but unfortunately we ran out of development time - so we just have the one enemy. The thing I think you are referring too is the player character sticking her hand out - that is the absorption attack that gives you more strength and speed if you use it on a dead monster! Thank you so much for playing!
@synystercola Yeah it is hard! We were working on a dash mechanic but just ran out of time! The game is supposed to be kinda difficult but admittedly this was a bit more for the beginning of the game. We really the concept and hope to add a lot of cool features down the line. Thanks for playing!
Really Enjoyed this game, loved the monster guys and the way they fell down, looked super nice.
I really enjoyed playing this game, though I have one complaint - in some rooms enemies get to attack you right as you enter, making it hard, if not impossible to avoid getting hit.
I had a little trouble getting into the swing of things, but once I did I picked it up quite quickly
Cool game, the combat felt nice. It was a bit hard to get what was going on at the beginning and what each thing meant and dead bodies kept piling up and blocking the way. But I completed it first try!

Very nice game, well done. The art and animation is beautiful. The gameplay could have a little more complexity to keep it interesting, but otherwise awesome work. Keep it up. :D
SCREENSHAKES ! Oh yeah those shakes are good ! Nice feeling in your game. The progression is cool, I really felt my sacrifices were usefull as I was more and more powerful ! Congrats :)
Great audio and tight controls as well. Loved it! My only gripe would be that I would have preferred a constantly following camera over the room based one.
Hey nice game. It's pretty fun and well made. I would like to play this game with more enemies and levels. Congrats
great animation and i love the feedback on sword swings and especially on harvest - all very satisfying! balancing stats versus your own health is a good idea! though i didn't realise the health bar was on the left hand side until i was a little bit too dead :)
Nice game! The combat feels good. A bit difficult to see when you can hit and when the monster can hit you though. I liked the transitions between the different rooms. First try I didn't understand that harvesting the monsters was the sacrifice. Interesting idea that the healing use that mechanic.
I love this idea. At first, I was not familiar with the operation and died many times, but I also challenged many times. Generally speaking, it's really super
The mood of the game is interesting, although I had trouble finding out about the combat mechanics. I expected a/d to the strafing since you control the look angle with the mouse. Anyway, I've spent some time with, thank you :-)
I liked this very much, especially the music and sound effects. Gameplay was kind of simplistic but the experience was overall great. Good job!
A nice complete game, dark sinister atmosphere achieved using great sound fx and monster design, plenty of action. A solid entry!
When I first made it to the end I didn't know what to do so I went back and killed the rest of the monsters. After that I went back to that altar and realized I just had to use E again ^^
Overall great game - good job
nice game, just my prefernces, but making the character move toward the mouse at W would have been nice. but overall really nice took me some time to notice i was damaging the enemy untill i noticed the blob in their had that flicks
Very complete game. Feedback is great. Great job!
Nice game ! I love the concept of sacrifice our health to level up, totally in the theme.
Your game is good !
I love games with risk-reward concepts at their core, so I was really pleased with this entry. The gameplay was fluid and well polished, the sound design is on point and the character design is quite interesting. The only suggestion I can give is to add more different enemie types but you probably already have this in plans
Man, I love these gangly monster designs! The masks gave the player and enemy interesting silhouettes from above, which definitely helps differentiate them too.
Killed myself by over-harvesting. Interesting choice there, making Harvesting something that the player has to ration as a way to recover health and fight better, but that they shouldn't overdo. It was simple and elegant design, and it made whether or not to harvest a meaningful choice! Excellent stuff.
I'll second that it was tough to know where the enemies were attacking, to know how to dodge or strafe effectively. Same for knowing when my attacks hit, so I could keep track and strategize how many hits the remaining enemies needed. Getting hit several times all at once by a swarm was harsh too! That might be intended design, but I've always been a fan of using a tiny window of invulnerability after a hit, to let the player recover, without getting instantly wrecked.
Congrats on your entry! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Nice take on the theme. Giving the player the choice of balancing the game by sacrificing your own health for power-ups. It was really satisfying to feel the difference in power after you harvested a certain amount of enemies. I had to get used to the enemy hitboxes and animation scheme but once I mastered the stutter stepping and luring the enemies in my favour, I had a lot of fun progressing through the game. Soundeffects, artstyle and music matched up quite nicely. Nice job!
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my livestream!

Hearing the monsters still attacking you after you die is pretty terrifying. :cold_sweat: I love it.
This was a very simple but well executed take on the theme. I always like the approach where being more powerful also makes you more vulnerable to dying easily. The enemies looked pretty terrifying, and their sound effects were creepy. They were definitely my favourite part about the game. I quite enjoyed the combat; using the mouse made it easy to precisely deliver blows, which made it all the more fun to get behind an enemy and completely destroy it. The music was also really cool; I like the level of intensity and the balance between the percussive and more quiet moments.
Overall, it was quite easy to pick up and understand how the play this game, and I had a good time.
Fun game , i quite liked the combat.
