Awesome! I like the power jumps, and the grenade launcher is the best.

Clever use of the theme. I like the concept of trading abilities for more allies. The aiming was a bit finicky, but other than that I had a lot of fun! :)
Nice stuff! I like how you amass a big group of friends by the end. I wish I could shoot behind me though.
Great idea. It's interesting to play. I can only shoot in the direction I'm facing. It gives me a little time to adjust. The design of all kinds of interesting guns is great. What's wrong is that the process is too short. I haven't played enough.
Thanks for playing @synystercola, @carlsonandpeeters, and @yinian! I guess it's pretty apparent that the mechanic of only being able to shoot in your direction wasn't the best design choice. I probably just got too used to it during development.
I'm glad you guys liked it! Thanks for the feedback!
Why don't you include the linux download link into itch.io for simplicity? Google drive is not the best way to share binaries.
Nice job, pretty fun game! I don't know if this was supposed to happen, but at some point I just died and my body never reappeared, I only was able to move my gun that was on the ground... pretty weird. Liked the concept a lot :D
Thanks @nico-the-pro, I updated the itch.io site to include the Linux build as well. I didn't know it supported multiple files, whoops.
I found that bug my first playtest after publish. It should probably fix if you were to die again. Yea it is a pretty funny bug.
I'm glad you liked the concept. I was really motivated by it. But I definitely think I over-scoped.
I appreciate the feedback!
Cool entry! Like other people said, it was kinda weird to shoot only from the direction you're facing. I jump into a "hole" and the got a "Well played" screen. Was that the end?
Hey nice game! I liked the ally concept and being able to swap out guns. I'm not sure the sacrifice of ability to gain allies made sense given how fast the respawn and unclear the health status was, but the idea is interesting.
@hbocao Yep that's the end. I wish I had more time to flesh out the level and add more variation to the tiles and just make it longer in general. Thanks for playing!
@wesxdz Yea the fast respawn was mostly there to prevent getting annoyed when you die too much. I realize it adds some design issues. Your allies you pick up can die permanently, so I thought of it more as "keep your buddies alive".
Thanks! P.S. nice avatar :v:
I like the idea and it was well worked out, i would have liked to see my life however not i had no idea when i died. ALso a small description of the weapons maybe, i had no idea what the first energy weapon was and if it even worked or not as the other players basically killed the enemies when i used that weapon. To bad it finished so soon
I tried using an xbox one controler at first but I think maybe the game is designed for mouse and keyboard so once I switched to that I knew what I was doing.
I didn't really notice what abilities I was losing but I did have fun with all the different weapon types and was especially cool that you could interact with the grenades and kick them around. I had fun blowing up the enemies and killing them haha. The guns felt powerful.
@aterlamia Yea I realized that I didn't give any way for the player to know when they died. That's mostly why I just instantly re-spawn them at that position.
Some of the guns could definitely be hard to understand, but I do like the concept of your buddies helping you out when you try to figure them out.
I'm also very sad I didn't have more time to build a longer level.
Thanks!
@barret I didn't configure the controls properly to an xbox controller (I don't really have one to test with), that's why it really only works with keyboard and mouse, and a switch pro controller.
Mostly the abilities you lost were debuffs (like slower speed, or shorter jump), but I guess it would be helpful to have some text go with the icons.
I'm really happy you had fun with the guns. Those are my pride and joy and I spent most of the time working on them.
Thanks for playing!
I really enjoyed using the guns and looking at the shot effects in your game, although the quality of those makes the rest of the game a bit sad in comparison. One nitpick I have is that none of the sacrificed abilities really directly affect the actual gameplay, and you could get through the entire thing without actually realizing what all had been given away. Additionally because you are always given a weapon at the exact same time as you lose an ability, it could be confusing whether the fact you can't aim is a result of the weapon or loss of ability. Overall great game and a better base for something even larger!
I didn't see any sacrifice in my abilities... Maybe I wasn't using these abilities, or didn't required them. Add some graphics animations and a boss to improve the game. Good Guns design
