LD30 — Connected Worlds

Intergalacticnet by divillysausages 2014-08-30T21:37:00

Great music, quite funny, graphics work, occasionally frustrating but solid as whole.

System Divergents by Brassawiking 2014-08-26T15:20:00

Liked the art, mood and the map, but the gameplay wasn't that clear, didnt figure out when it was good idea to aim, dodge or suppressive fire. Got through just repeating aimed shot at everything, seemed to work better than trying the other options at random. There is potential on the story and style, but the core gamemechanic would need more feedback to get fun.
Good job :)

Connected Caves by Birke 2014-08-26T15:48:00

Loved the atmosphere and being very suited to the theme. Other than exploration, actual gameplay felt missing any purpose. At first I thought the point was to collect and plant seeds from the dungeons. All in all one of the most impressive looking games so far, especially the tight and dark rooms were claustrophobic.

Gimbal Fighter by kumoi 2014-08-26T16:02:00

Nice clean little shooter. Liked the enemy ships and good controls, hectic first impression among all the lasers though the combat got bit stale after a while. at first I thought my trail was actually left by some other enemy or ally moving around in the scene.

DreamRun by meishijie 2014-08-26T11:38:00

Gorgeous with simple core chellenge. When playing, it seemed easier to play just with switching colors, jumping made it feel more confusing.

Fairy Wars by ambi 2014-08-29T17:52:00

Decent solid game that got really hard towards the end. Felt like he moved too slow to be able to dodge well. Weapon boosts would've been nice. How big was the hit box- the whole shield area?

The Hoverator by Viza 2014-08-25T01:54:00

Loved the bike, the feeling of hover and the airy architecture and atmosphere. Wanted to go long and fast. Got challenging with a nice curve and enemies felt fitting the setting though bit tropey.

Parallel Rift by liquidminduk 2014-08-26T16:11:00

One of the best so far. Great idea, smoothly completed, after a while I got the controls and the playing got fun, though could be snappier and more precise. Suprising depth in actually planning the routes beforehand so that next runs are easier (and then failing at it and getting in nicely panic-reactive mood. Would like to see a video of a good run on this game.

Bob the Slob by anssipe 2014-08-29T17:45:00

Nice character, love the idea and levels work. After getting stuck few times, found myself longing for ability to lay blocks while jumping.

Loved those atmospheric realms, water one was my favourite. Will replay.

Connected Worlds: Filllight by FurtherForm 2014-08-26T09:05:00

Thanks to each one of you for the insightful comments. Unity particle tools made the on atmosphere possible. I agree on controls and seeing too little at once. Instead of adding the borders on the road, better approach would be to change the player from ball to a character, that would explain the ability to stay on the paths. Adjustments here and there and an extra world would make for a decent update.

Connected Worlds: Filllight by FurtherForm 2014-08-26T16:23:00

Skyfish: are you certain you're talking about the same game? There shouldn't be such screen. Maybe it is bugging on some platform, huh :/
ZeppelinCaptain. Thanks for the good feedback, something more would make it more interesting. The idea behind the (more completed) puzzle would have been that to find the route for lighting all the lights, one has to teleport around the worlds different worlds as one single world would be impossible to light up on it's own. Works so and so, I'm not certain it is possible to finish the game with current design without the benefits occasionally buggy triggers. There is one light that is intended to be lighted up as the last one, as you it is placed to the only dead end in the game.

City of Marble by strong99 2014-08-26T15:37:00

Nice idea, eventually conquered every node. Didn't really find out that much use from the research - is that the game end? Once got the screen to change to red, thought I lost then. Really liked the map, the feeling, units moving about, sounds worked well and it was addictive and interesting to keep my attention to very end. The counterhacks of the green team were nicely effective now and then :)

LD35 — Shapeshift

Changelings by aeai 2016-04-25T21:13:00

Old good lemmings. Love the graphics, expect the font. Controls are hard, using laptop keyboard it takes a while to the button and then to the changelings. Do the buttons have keyboard shortcuts? Bit frustrating. But after you get it, it works but really have to be careful not to mess up.

Abducktion by JohnnySix 2016-04-26T16:05:00

Great job. This was fun and challenging and love the muslc.

In Artery by FurtherForm 2016-04-19T09:23:00

Thanks, good point. I tested it with US and Scandinavian mapping, shouldn't be hard to add different mapping for future versions.

It has actual levels, an ending and polish.
Thank you all for checking out the game!

Image Shift by mazhem 2016-04-25T21:58:00

Great idea, this was fun. Something to develop further.

Cactus Ray by neontropics 2016-04-25T21:55:00

Great idea. Really like how puzzley it gets. 8-bit is not my cake, but it works nicely here.
