So sad, poor fishes :)
Very polished and complete for a gamejam game - also pretty ballsy to go with something so slow paced and requiring the player to discover the mechanics for themselves when most people are blazing through ratings to bump their score up too.
Good entry, I liked it!
No help! So hard core!
Whew, took a while, but I guess it was worth it since I'm a god now.
Overall an interesting concept, but I really wish the core mechanic wasn't clicking, or at least that the pace was faster - it made it drag. Also, I never actually never got to buy the expensive fish and didn't really have the heart to start a second playthrough.
I like the SFX- are they all generated by, uh, mouth?
Is this... a puzzle? I'm not sure if it was bugged for me or if I just didn't figure things out, but I think it did different things for me in different reloads. It's probably just the way the game works though.
Are the signs the people show what they want? Or what they protest against? In some of my playthroughs they did new things when I gave them what they shown on those signs, on another tries they just completely ignored them. I'm not sure. But I like the music. :D
Good look and feel, especially the animations and SFX. A little too slow, and I'm still not 100% sure what the fish do, besides die. Won my first play through by only building soup cans and plastic rings.
Too difficult to understand how to play! Anyway good graphics here! Good job! :)
This was a cool entry. I wish the coins started coming faster. The people were **demanding**. When I saved up to buy a fish I thought they'd rise up and murder me. Also... Love the stylized art and having people in the tank. Super weird. I still don't know what the rings do except block fish... People seem to really want them. Anyway, cool entry. It felt polished and the atmosphere was well crafted, even if the gameplay was a little dry (or, wet I guess.) Nice work.
Awesome, detailed pixelart backgrounds and lovely animations (especially the humping movement by the little guys )
I was quite confused though, won anyway by leaving to grab some food. Came back and I was a god. It was a good day.
Wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing, then I became a god so I must have done something right  The graphics are very well done, and I liked the sound effects. Though I think the coins could drop a little faster. Overall, a very well done game.
good game, a little slow to start but it was nice. never got a big fish and I never understood the whales purpose. the people animations were priceless.
I think my guys had sex with each other? :D lol... lovely game.
:fish: :blowfish: Thanks to everyone for the feedback so far :) :blowfish: :fish:
I liked the crazy concept of the little scrappy people living in a fishtank (and I *loved* the sounds they made!) I figured it out and became a god, but was a little confused about the feeding mechanism at first. The background for the tank looked great, and the music was a good choice, very catchy
Pretty interesting. I actually played it for quite a while trying to see what would happen next. Good job.
I loved the sound effects and music. Was a fun game to play! Who knew being omnipotent would be so great!
This game was hilarious and adorable! It took me a while to figure out what I was doing and I wish there was a faster way to get coins, but hey I'm a god now so it doesn't matter! Well cone!
I simply love this game.
nice music and graphics, my main problem with the game was the speed, the game had a slow mechanics and get a little boring, just click coint for a minute to get a chance to loot some of the game... is a really polished game (for a game jam), that was awseome! nice entry!
The start screen was really nice, the music was fun and the little guys carrying the start button was really neat. Other than that, i have to admit i got quite annoyed. The fish i buy immediately swim into the sixpack and die in 2 seconds. And this happens after i save coins for minutes - really unrewarding. I do notice the statue getting built when people do it in the soup can, which they only seem to do if fish die. But it's soooo slow!
This game's a bit different! Wasn't entirely sure what I was doing - but it didn't seem to be doing the poor fishes much good! Loved the people in the tank holding the signs - great idea. I'm sure some of them were twerking though!!
[You made me look, I'll make you look too](http://pix.iemoji.com/images/emoji/apple/ios-9/256/turned-ok-hand-sign.png)
That was hands down the most bizarre experience I've had during this LD.
Still haven't figured out why people want the beer6-pack casings (well, they show the signs), but every time I dropped it fish would swim to it and get stuck.
People demand campbell's soup cans and live in them. And procreate during wild parties from the looks of it. Their main pastime is either sleeping or twerking.
I'm prettu sure your main goal was to make people look at the 'ok' sign, you glorious bastards.
Cheers, youre awesome :D
[oh, and game is solid, love the art and the concept. Give us cheat keys for the coins, though :D ]
As Requested, I played this on Livestream Today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wr-ZBj_dJa4
I think this was a really cohesive game in terms of art direction and how information was displayed, my issue was I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to be doing after the Soup Cans. I think you should definitely investigate your core game loop and see if you can add some more user interaction, I had more comments in the video.
Hope it helps!
I think the sound effects really added a lot, and I'm very fond of the background. Neat entry!
Very confusing at first. Definitely original though.
Very interesting game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYiOXlTKNb0
Great sound effects and art. I love the detailed pixel art in the background and the lighting that comes from the top of the tank. The fitting is quite fitting, and the sound effects work humourously to your advantage. I think there are some interesting things to take away from the game, for instance, why the people worship you and build a statue of your hand. All this was very interesting.
I'll admit I did find the game a bit slow; collecting coins was a major impatience. My people were demanding trash, but the trash always got caught in some of the background scenery so I wasn't sure if I was doing anything correctly. I got a good laugh out of the animations of the little people bowing and falling over. Overall, I had a somewhat good time playing this.
The humans in this game are really a bunch of pricks. On my first play though I wanted to build a shark that would eat them all.
Watching the orca struggle in it's entrapment sends a strong environmentalist message. We only have one world and it is small! For this I give it 5 of 5 in theme!
