Of all your games I've played, this one is the most comprehensible. And I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature. :)
I like the sound design, not distracting at all, sounds don't clash with each other. The gameplay is simple and fun, a great combo for a compo game! Good job!
Here's my playthrough, if you want to see me playing. :) https://youtu.be/l3qQAvFdQls
:) Nice game! I like the music and sounds. The art is great! The gameplay is good. But it does feel a little repetitive by the end. But it was fun to play, and overall a good game!
JFYI, full-screen breaks the scaling for me (it looks like things are becoming way too big).
wouldn't run for me.

That was a blast! I really enjoyed playing!
Your download link was a bit weird... I had to open it in incognito on Chrome to get it to download...

Nice job, I had some fun with it and was able to win the second time around when I realized you could fix the glass by shooting it (that is definitely some special glass ). I do wish there was some better indication that you got hurt though, it sort of felt like I was just phasing through all of the enemies until I noticed my health dropping. There also wasn't much strategy to it besides just spamming shoot and running in a circle.
And yeah, like you mentioned the download was a bit wonkey but I eventually got it, you may want to think about using https://itch.io/ to host the download or something else.

Fun! I wish I could hold the mouse down to shoot.
Why does it take so long to load? I have an M.2 SSD and it took a good 10 seconds to load.
@etchell, i'm not sure. I've been trying to figure it out. Ty for playing, and all the others that have gotten it to work. :-)

Unfortunately crashed for me after I pressed space on the title screen. There was no error, but I guess it has to do with java versions. This was the console output in case it helps: x: 0.0 y: 0.0 Coords h: 16 Coords w: 27 x: 0y: 0
Anyway, from @yngvarr's playthrough I can see that it looks really nice and the music and sfx are great too. Good job!
EDIT: Apparently you know of the issue, this is just a very slow machine so after a minute of waiting I gave up.

fun game, can you maybe do some bug fixes? those are allowed
As usual I'm not up to this :) A very frantic typical @commanderstitch game! I'd say it fits the theme very well, but then given I never get to the end of any of your games, I'd argue that all of them would fit this theme :)
I had the usual slow start issue that other people have mentioned, and I could only get it to run with openjdk-8, 11 and 17 failed with some JNI issues (this is on linux x64). Not an issue for me, I had all of those installed anyway.
Testing this link. https://commanderstitch.com/files/games/holyfurbalsLD50loaded.jar
Yeah, waves and waves of monsters is certainly an inevitable death. Nice simple controls, decent graphics and sound. Well done!

Nice one. It is not exactly clear that you can repair the glass by shooting at it. It just happened by coincidence that I noticed that. It fits the theme and both graphics and sound are enjoyable. Grats!
