I love the concept !
love the boosting mechanics. Definitely some more could have been done to help me figure out whether i was boosting or not. I think the whole danger of "attack at your own risk" was a very interesting way of doing things.
the hand-drawn manual/tutorial was cute and funny, and i like how the visible field moves around the mostly transparent screen, that's a cool effect. fun game! boosting is satisfying
Good instructions, I understood the idea quickly. I found it quite addictive. I'm not sure if it was intended that the entire window moves when I move?
Big wow factor with the shifting window! Great job! The how to play art was also very cute!
Cool concept. Lovely "How to" guide! I like the challenge of managing fuel, movement, and boosting into enemies.
@jarvenp yep! that's completely intended!
Wow! The art is really cool, I like the color choice and the music is also fitting! The how to play art is so wholesome and cute, I had to giggle multiple times, hehe!
For the gameplay, I love the concept of the floating window. Good Job!
Best thing about this game is the main character customisation

It's funny I have a home project with a very similar concept using the window, a bit like you did. Very nice to see people having good ideas ;) The art is nice, and so is the music!
And the more I dig the better it gets haha :

Hope you had fun making it. Also, I always appreciate when people don't use mainstream engines.
@tomtomgome the modding scene gonna go crazy if you're in it
What a nice entry! I love the humor of the how to play menu point  I beat the alien king and that was realy nice, thank you for this game!
A special reward for the interesting and innovating take of the theme, weel done!
Loved the art and music!
Fun and beautiful! Moving a borderless window is impactive!
Great humour in the drawings on the How to Play screen, loved it. The shifting window was a nice touch too - I first forced full screen then was wondering what the hecc was going on, restarted it and saw the effect. Great work!
Hehe this was a neat idea and well executed with nice vibes :D I couldn't tell if i was at a disadvantage for playing on a 4k screen lmao
Good little game! Not bad controls and mechanics. But 2 screens in window mode...it was weird))
Hi fellow window movers! Love your interpretation. It was a fun experience. Art is nice, especially How to play comic. When you ran out of fuel you are completely defenseless and all you can do is just die. Probably leaving movement ability without boost whould help. And sounds would bring a lot to the game. Nontheless, great job!
I did it!!!

Very cool concept, I have never seen a game that works like this before.
The movement felt good and responsive and it was fun to bash through enemies - although the endboss seemed to die way too fast. I spawned and 1 second later it was dead. Would've loved some more there.
The music was engaging, but chill enough to not stress me out too much and the graphics were clear.
I also really liked the tutorial. Most of the time I hate text based info-dumps, but this felt cute and quirky and it worked. I never saw a golden apple tho. Maybe that would've appeared in the boss level if I didn't dunk on it?
Overall a super solid entry with the mechanic of the screen-shifting elevating it to the next level. Super cool. Hope y'all had a fun jam and didn't overwork yourself too much <3
I liked the mechanic after I understood it. At first I always only pressed space in short bursts, I did not realize that I could hold Space for quite some time
@im-not-a-robot thanks for the comment :3 the golden heart powerup is a very rare powerup to spawn, it has like a 5% chance to be chosen when a powerup is spawned and we almost ran out of time to make the boss, so he is basically just a reworked ranged enemy, meaning he dies in 1 hit XD

Despite how chaotic some of the levels can get, I found this game to be oddly relaxing (maybe it's the music)! I like how new enemy types are introduced the further you progress, and it never feels *too* unforgiving with having to retry levels. I also found the visuals charming. Nice work!
Wow, what a challenge! The idea of managing fuel made me very attentive.
Very nice game, very unique mechanic of the usage of the screen. The music is nice
Cool idea. Seemed quite difficult to me. Some vfx when boosting would be a good improvement! gj :)
Very cool concept! It took me a while to get the thing with the screen because I had forcibly put it in fullscreen at first (alt+enter) I found the control a bit finicky and sometimes I couldn't boost without knowing why. Avoiding all the enemies and bullets sometimes feels impossible, and so not really fair, but as when we die we just continue from the same level, it's not such a big deal and I managed to reach the end. Congrats on the great entry!
@nusan it's supposed to be played in windowed mode ;-; the hud won't be visible if you play in fullscreen...
Nice game. Creative use of the limited window ;)
absolutely love the vibes of this game! had such a fun time with it
Great little game, great use of the limited window!! I suck at it but was fun xD
This is the dark souls of being a silly little space guy. Also the comics are funny!
Clever use of the game window to go along with the theme. Weird thing to call out, but I enjoyed reading the directions, the humor and illustrations were great. I found the game quite easy (I think the amount fuel restored by kills was very generous), but still enjoyable!
I wasn't expecting souls like game with this cute art XD <3
Cool feature with the game window. The gameplay is quite challenging, I liked it. The visual is simple but stylish Thanks for the game!✨

Nice!
First thing first, the how to play screen is awesome, it's so much fun! The portion of window moving around the screen gave me a wow moment. I really love that idea. The gameplay is a bit unforgiving though. It happened to me to move around the screen quite a lot without finding any fuel.. it can get frustrating  Real nice entry! And it's cool to see someone using Lime (I guess you actually used HaxeFlixel which is using Lime for rendering). I used to contribute to that years ago.
Nice game with unique mechanics, well done!
Wow, love this style of art, keep working on it, this game have a lot of potential!
Love the humour in "how to play" section, and how you presented it all with dynamic drawings! Animated main menu screen is nice as well, and I liked the music.
Love the idea with the game screen moving around my laptop screen, it was so cool and inventive!
Gameplay felt a bit hard in the beginning, but slowly adjusting to the game, I started moving more freely. However, there was a spot in the lower right part of my laptop screen, where my character would just freeze in place and refuse to move, not sure where this bug comes from :( I'd say it happened twice in that spot, but then also happened once in another, so might be connected to something else, not the specific spot.
Anyway, it was pretty fun as it was still challenging but as I figured out the movement & enemy patterns I did beat the game and enjoyed it! The final boss looked super cool, by the way, very grotesque, and overall I have to mention I loved the graphics! And little tips on enemy patterns, like the green thingies swirling before shooting, were quite helpful ^^ Edit: only it seems to beat final lvl I just had to beat the little enemies or slam into the boss certain amount of time? the victory seemed a bit sudden to me, so in future some personal movement/patterns could be added to the boss and then the animated effect of him being defeated?
was writing down my impressions in between levels :) Cosmos.jpg
So cuuute!! the visuals and humor were great, reminded me of a really high quality newgrounds game. The boosting mechanic was simple but effective, and i liked the variety enemy behaviours. The music was also pretty fitting, though i wish it looped more cleanly (I'm the composer for our game though so I totally understand how much of a pain it can be to get that to happen sometimes haha)
Hey, neat little game you got here. Enjoyed the concept. It was neat. I was prowling around my own desktop with this limited little window. Took me a while to figure out i was supposed to charge headlong into battle! :D
love when my window moves along with the game )
Cute litte game! Nice touch with window moving with the player. On 4k you can move out of the background texture though. I think some visual for the boost would be great, like a highlight when you would kill anything you touch
Love the art and a really solid take on the theme!
That's a really cool concept, the how to play screen is also really solid and it's evident a lot of passion went into this, would definitely love to see you take this concept further!
I liked the game interesting gameplay
I can appreciate how challenging it must have been to create a good game under such a tight deadline. You did a great job!
Neat game with the screen moving around my actual screen mechanic, I think some visual feedback when you are boosting would be a great addition.
Came back to see how my favourite and memorable games from the jam did in ratings. Congrats on the respectable score! :)
