Great and fun game. I actually thought about making a combination of cookie clicker and tower defense myself, but I decided otherwise. I like the graphics a lot, I had a bit of quarrels with the interface. I first thought that buying knights increases the defense, but later I found out that the two parts are mostly seperated, only connected by money. Playing it for the second time I did not die anymore, in fact it became quite easy once I had certain investments done. There is also the possibility to wait with the attack and automatically gather money during this time, I guess this is not intented? Otherwise one could just wait indefinitely to get enough funds.

Liked the combination of the two genres. Had to make touch decission if i realy need the upgrade now or if i should save the money for the invasion. The art style is very nice too. AS @Frodewin mentiond i would remove the fact that you can gain gold by simply waiting in the attack mode. In addition to that I would increase the time of the invasions at least in the begining of the game. And some information about how much gold the folks produce would be nice.

I really liked this combination of genres! It was funny and felt good. Great graphics and nice music. Only encountered a few bugs and the game ended in the economics screen without progressing. A few tips would be to provide the player with more information, both in the clicker and in the TD. For instance I never figured out which upgrade was for firerate and which was for range. The economics screen was very overpowered relative to the TD, it was easy to horde money and buy every tower upgrade. On the whole a good game and a nice experience!
Really impressive game for LD! I really enjoy clicker games and TD games, so this was a pretty nice combination. The only real complaint I have is that it was too easy. I upgraded everything and I had no troubles with anything! The idea of a choice between buying more clicker things or upgrading towers is pretty nice though. As well, I'd like to see a timer thing on the buy screen, it was hard to know when to stop buying. Also, I guessed it was a bug, but you can sit on the screens before and after the TD phase and farm money.

Any chance on a mac or html5 port? Also please check my game, it's a clicker + rts, similar concept.
@Lerg no, sorry. The game was made with a C# library so porting it would be a bit of a pain in the arse :/ PS I'll gladly check out your game :D
I enjoyed this game. I'd have loved for it to be happening at the same time (meaning there was one continous wave timer that you constantly got to decide which screen you wanted to be spending your time on. Should you be watching and upgrading your towers or being greedy while clicking away on that money coin? it spawns an interesting game because you can try to stretch it out but you can't really see how well your towers are doing, you just would have to switch and check it before going back to clicking. Idk, it was a nice entry because both portions of the game had a lot of content in it. The clicker one more than the tower D, but that's great! Things to do better on this concept? know when the wave will begin, know how much you've upgraded things(critical hit, freeze duration, etc) i had no idea how much i had raised the crit hit, etc. :-) I guess i could have watched the arrows till all they shot was red ones. xD thanks for the game.
The combination of tower defense and clicker game worked surprising well. So much, in fact, that I wonder how well those games would work on mobile in the casual market. I liked the overall presentation, it looks very coherent, and the little animations on the flags and grass are a nice touch.
However, there were a few things whose effects on the gameplay I don't quite understand. What's up with the squires, knights, and farmers, etc. Do they earn me more money? Do they add to the defense? Are they stationed in the defense towers? The same thing with the alchemy lab took me a little to understand that it was the prerequisite to get access to the buttons on the left. And as my castle was getting damaged, I wondered how it takes to unlock "+Castle Health," since it constantly displayed "HEALTH FULL" despite it being not the case.
Another thing that was unclear to me was how much time I had on the clicker screen. Is it random? Does it depend on my clicking speed or how well/bad the previous siege went? I just had a little too many questions.
Nevertheless, it felt like pretty polished and pretty complete game. If you add the option to place towers myself or even modify the lanes a bit, I'm sure it would sell on mobile :)

Thank you for playing our game! I'm happy to hear you liked the graphics. The firerate button is the target button with the 3 pluses (+ + +). The the one for range is the target button with ft. (feet). Maybe rng. for 'range' would have been the better solution here?

Enjoyed this one quite a lot. I really liked the menu, grass and music. I think tower defense and clicker is quite a good mash-up. Would have been nice to be able to build our own towers, but that aside great submission :)
The video is now public, so here it is again, very officially: https://youtu.be/UoxXOgp40t0

It started out pretty fun, and the genre mashup works really well. I wish that a few things were more clear, like what each upgrade does, and I also think it could use a little more variety. Once I unlocked the alchemy lab I got the ability to purchase all of its upgrades really quickly but none of them felt like they were having noticeable impacts on the gameplay. Same with the tower upgrades. It also might be better if the player could freely swap between the two sections.
Overall, a pretty good game though! Good job!
Fun game, not knowing exactly when the change from Idle Game to TD comes felt a little weird but the idea works nicely. After a couple of rounds I could hoard enough money that the game became really easy but it was nice playing it for a while.
This was really fun to play. Simple, but well-made. I liked the music too.
Also, I've been to Grantchester Meadows a bunch and it's totally like this, yes. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
@Zarkonnen are you saying there ISN'T a castle there?! :astonished:
