I really liked the creative and innovative way you linked the theme to the gameplay. It makes for a really interesting game mechanic. I am surprised at how many different situations you can create based on the simple mechanic of division and making way for your main blue slime. I can see how you could constructed many other puzzle-like situations from this. Unfortunately, I could not make it to the end of the game as it got a little bit frustrating to start over from a check point that was quite far away from where you die. And it was confusing when I died from jumping onto the flat part of one of the upside-down spikey boards. Aside from that it was very fun and intriguing to play and I think this is a great game, with cute graphics too ! :)

Easier ctrl will feel better.

the idea is really good, this is an interesting game and in my opinion it has defenitly potential. There are few bugs here and there...but its funny to have flying slimes everywhere XD

I didn't like the controls at first but sort of got used to them after a little bit. I liked the idea of a lot but I didn't end up finishing it because some of the parts got a little bit frustrating due to the collisions in the game. I think the game fits the theme fantastically and for your first entry I think you did a great job overall.

Echoing what RAC-Games said, it would be better if there were more checkpoints, and the spikes were especially frustrating considering the first time they showed up was a very long way past a checkpoint, and it wasn't clear that they would kill you. It is a neat concept, though.

Positives - Excellent textures and graphics - Nice, empowering slime face. Almost smug ;) - Nice and fast auto-restart upon death - Cool SFX for companion call, and interesting face - I like how the blue slime just slumps when not being controlled and falls off a slime - I like how slimes can stay in the air, though that is a bit gravity-defying - Easy to get a hang of the game, though the controls are a bit weird - Great use of checkpoints - Very fun and great variety of puzzles

Improvements - Camera a little jittery sometimes when jumping - Could have lava sfx or slime animation when burned - Switching back to blue slime is non-intuitive (not obvious) - Companion call should be in direction of slime - There's an infinite restart bug that sometimes happens. - No way to restart or menu? - I found a way to infinite double-jump. That's funny, I guess. - I went out of bounds. - Could have had some music or extra sound effects e.g. as spiky thing got closer to character sound increased

Overall - An excellent game, that the more I played the easier it got. It is indeed quite tactical and takes on board the theme of sacrifice very well. As a platformer, contrary to the slimy nature of the characters, it is actually very sharp and seemingly well-polished.

Excellent work, and keep it up!

little close up. All cool until i realized i had to start over everytime. I liked the drawings and the goofy faces. The sounds were all aright. A bit jittery when constantly swapping back to my main character with some button clicks. Other than that pretty nice. :D

@zxinferno Thank you very much for your reply, and please tell me how you can infinite double-jump,so that I can fix it.

zxinferno 2018-12-31 18:20

@yinian Yo! Basically, there were a couple of ways and you can experiment but I'll list two.

1. If you build up a stack of green slimes, and then keep jumping with the blue slime by touching them, you can jump reeeeaaallly high (although sometimes you get forcefully pushed back somehow in the air), so that's not too bad. 2. This one is not that easy to reproduce. I tried some combination of repeatedly pressing K-L-J and I was able to repeatedly jump - I think the game mixed the green slime's jump for the blue one so somehow I was keep jumping. That was actually very fun doing that ;)
