The itch.io link seems to be broken
@$162477 Thanks for pointing that out. It should be all fixed now.
The entire ambience is awesome. The low-key audio adds beautifully to it. I'm not entirely sure how far this game goes, because the flashlight dies, and I can't seem to really do anything at that point. Outside of that, nothing really prompts me to rush. I'm not sure it is worth rushing the player through such a well done environment if that is the case.
There seems to be some. minor lighting bugs, that I thinks unrelated to the above where you can temporarily be in all black and some assets Eem to be dark when they should be bright. This is generally fixed by moving slightly.
At one point in the game, everything went dark. I don't know if that was intended but I could not see anything. Other than that, the mood and graphics were amazing.
Very nice ambience but I struggled to put in a new battery for my flashlight and the world was very dark so I needed to stop. I love the graphics though simple yet it did what it needed to do. Good job.
@zliebowitz @givit-game-studios @benjamin123 If everything goes black, its not a bug you’ve just ran out of power. You can look at your inventory with tab and see if you have any batteries, if you do you can just press ‘R’ in-out of inventory. Also if you run out of power and batteries you can press escape and go back to the last checkpoint.
Hey, first of all be careful with the name of your game, because it is already taken by a pretty famous game XD
Now, your game has quite some potential, even if I don't recommend it for people who are afraid of the dark :D
Great job overall, nice ambience that puts us right into it
Good Ambience, with more than are sound and effect you could make a special halloween game.
@kanonix We knew it was already taken but it does represent the game and we couldn't come up with anything better in the last hour. We thought it was ok as its not a commercial release.
Thanks for playing it tho!
@mimusangel Thanks a lot for playing it! We might work on it in the future but is not 100%. As we want to come up with an idea over a longer period of time, don't have messy code and art could also take a bit longer. But we may just make it a bit longer and release as a small free indie game.
Very nice scary game :-)
I loved this game, simple yet very compelling. love the sounds and ambiance. Great work!
A very controversial opinion, on the one hand, everything is technically competent, on the other hand, the non-obviousness of actions and the deadline in the form of batteries .... Plus, the plot is presented through notes that have sore mouth ....
Yes... Very nice, I liked playing it...
@dazedhead @bredera @graphicedit Thanks a lot for playing the game!
@tory I agree, I spent too much time implementing stuff that didn't make much sense. There is no proper tutorial and we're just hoping that the player would find his way around.
Pretty sad that when the battery is out, you can not see anything at all, and all that you can do is quit :/ the game is beautiful, I expected a much worse visual from a jam game but it was interesting to see !
Overall the game was very nice. I got a little spook from the first monster encounter which made it all the more exiting to play. I wished there was a button to look behind you while running away from the monsters to make sure they dont follow you anymore. And the paper at the end was suuuper dark, but added a little skin around the meat.
@saering There is something you can do. If you press escape as the description of the game says, you can reload the last checkpoint with 4 batteries. Also you can reload the flashlight with 'R'.
@smackmet Thanks for finishing the game, only a few people do so. They exit really fast and just rate.
@preda My bad then! But I would except the game to tell me in that case, much better than having to read a description :p
@saering As I said in an earlier comment. "I spent too much time implementing stuff that didn’t make much sense. There is no proper tutorial and we’re just hoping that the player would find his way around."
Scary! Usually red bars used for health bar, but here it is stamina bar. And it doesn't clear because it used red color on red color. But ok, it works and I understand mechanic. I didn't realize that flashlight need to be reload in the inventory. Few times I got situation when I grab battery and flashlight turns off right after it. And I don't know why I collect some peaces of paper. In any case, it is just my mumbling. You did good entry: playable, complex, difficult, holistic!
Heya @preda! I checked out your game after my stream at your request and I really dig it. Great sound design and creepy atmosphere. : )
Guys i like the game screenshots and it seems like last time i played a simialr game i alost broke my phone, can anyone just answer me if it has jumpscares? :(
@karanveer It does not have jumpscares. @yaroslav-kravtsov I agree, I used the wrong color, I was just doing stuff so fast right after one-another I didn't even think of it. But the background is a dark red, it might just be my monitor but I can see a clear difference. @guttykreum Thanks a lot for playing it!
@preda oh yes we all got up on the rake of technical re-evaluation of abilities more than once, nothing, there will be less of them with each game, or they will become more deadly)
The graphics in the game are not bad. My mouse sensitivity was too high and the game lagged. I'm sorry, but I think you have not invented anything new, this is the usual indie horror which thousands
Amazing atmosphere!
Dont know what we are supposed to do but i Loved it <3 MOOD on POINT!
Really great work on textures and models. The atmosphere is quite scary, especially when you start hearing sounds of other living (?) things. Thanks for the game!
Thank you all for the feedback and the nice comments!
I hate Horror Games.
The Graphics are the burner, they look soo awesome. The Sound and music is so well played.
Btw. I hate Horror Games
The Mood the Game produces are astonishing and I had really goosebumps. What an awesome Game, especially for that short amount of time.
Well Done, Really awesome. Oh, did I mentioned I HATE Horror Games ;)
@deathstorm thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you lige the graphics because I loved working on them.
Pretty good for the time given! I'm not into spoopy horror games and all, but it was fun enough for a short while! Could have done with a bit more setup at the beginning to explain where you are and why things are happening.
Loved the mood. I can tell you spent a lot of work on this and it shows. Great job!
I love the atmosphere on this one, you should try adding some physical based objects and that would give it a nice touch, great game
@shinmera @drums @el-fideo-rubio Thanks a lot for playing it!
The graphics and the ambiance are amazing. Some ambient music would tie things together nicely. But again, very cool game.
Thanks for sharing the game when i was streaming. I had fun playing it through. I had a few mis-steps here and there. I mean, seriously, who puts chairs on the wall? Threw me off while running away! From start to finish it plays well. Beware of the benjamin :)
@shrapx im glad you liked it! and sorry about the chair...
Man this game was really creepy! That thing was so crazy and it took a while to come to terms with that murdering monster!! Great work, really moody and that flickery flashlight was insane.
@commanderstitch Thank you so much for playing it!
