The dog sounds were amazing! It was fun to capture the dogs, but I think there was something slightly wonly with the hitboxes; I couldn't collect some stunned dogs at the edges of the screen and ultimately the Smog Monster got me even though I don't I was very close by. Still, good fun :)
Overall mood and thematic was held together. Loved the addition of the voice acting and 2-player support! I had trouble beating the final boss but being surrounded by little puppies was a nice touch.

The sound effects and sprites add a lot of charm to the game. I think the biggest thing that should be fixed is the hitboxes (as noted above) - it's frustrating when the dogs start going into the walls and you hit walls while trying to get the dogs, sometimes pulling you right into the monster. I should clarify that I love that the gun doubles as both a grappling hook and dog-yanker! It just needs to be integrated into the game a bit better.
Overall a decent game! I liked the voice acting and audio. The issues with the game is the hitbox of dogs and a little of the controls. The art was pretty good.

Nice game, there's even a tutorial in game too!
Nice sounds, they really helped. Also speech!
I don't understand why you sometimes catch a dog and other times you move onto the destination.
The boss is really hard and there are a lot of dogs there.
Well done! Especially the speech is great.
Finally the video is up: Here's me wondering if I should collect the rings or not ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTeUPXVSPps

Hey man! finally got my win pc to play it. Always love the art style and the curious game mechanics you make. Congrats on the entry!

You were right, I didn't feel the theme, but that isn't always the most important thing. Making and finishing something is paramount; having two players was a nice addition to the game. I found the actual game screen to be overwhelming with the dogs everywhere, and I didn't managed to collect many as I kept grappling into the walls; wish I could have grappled in more than the four directions. Well done finishing the game!
Great reviews guys!

Nice idea, there's some parts that could be tweaked and fixed though. The shooting works but its hard to aim since you can only go in four directions. The player would have an easier time aiming if the player had 8-directional movement and shot in whatever direction they moved last or the player aimed where the mouse was and could shoot wherever they wanted. It'd make shooting in the wrong direction happen a lot less and the player wouldn't accidentally shoot backwards if they're trying to shoot quickly. It might not work so well with the coop unless you add controller support in that case, but I think most engines keep it from being that hard to add in. Aside from clipping through the walls sometimes when grappling it all seems to work though

Making a two player game isn't easy (I made one this LD) but making it optionnal too is even better. Well done, the gameplay is fun at first but when you see that screen full of dogs, there is no incentive to get them all. The grappling hook works but not very consistently. There is no real challenge either. The sound design is top dog though (pun intended).
crazy game! I was a bit overwhelmed over the sheer amount of doggies once I had cleared the tutorial! My grappling hook keeps sending me to the Smog monster, so I am unable to win. But hey, I saved some doggies at least!
This is great, especially the audio! I must save all the dogs!
