Good
nice game
Amazing idea! Really enjoyed playing it! Great job!
Great concept and controls. Suggest maybe lowering the brightness on the walls a bit. It kinda draws your gaze away from the main character and the enemies.
I really liked seeing the clones of myself and the heart racing music was cool! I found the second-to-second gameplay too easy tho, a blob never touched me ;) Would be nice for the game to ramp-up more.
(I also didn't realise until I looked back at this page that you're meant to kill all the blobs. I thought the objective was to keep touching checkpoints!)
Nice job tho!
Neat idea! Great game loop and a very confusing labyrinth. Took me a while for the first loop to appear (because I didn't "die" in the beginning) but once I saw a copy of myself I really enjoyed using my ghosts to kill the enemies and look for the other pillars. Great job! Maybe some upgrades could be fun and more engaging. Enjoyed this game!
Nice idea, the game is surprisngly rich with just the simple mechanics you put in. If you add weapons, different enemy types, maybe different ways to control your clones, you can actually design a cool and fiercly unique frantic shooter, or, even better IMO, with the right level design this could be made into a puzzler.
Good job!
Wow, great use of the theme, the ghosts of the player coming back to help him surprised me, you can use them to create protection strategies to safely reach the next checkpoint. Congratulations. I would like to see the evolution of this idea.
Wow. I like the idea of cloning very much! Also like the graphics and the feeling of the power of the projectiles.
I find it a little uncomfortable/confusing to use W A S D keys because of their position on the keyboard (the S for going down gives me trouble). Maybe if it was w A D X it could be easier to move around, or the user could be given the possibility to set the commands as he/she whishes before starting ? Or.. I'm just making up excuses because I suck at this game haha 😅 It would be fun to customize the character and the slimes, too!
Anyway, I loved it: the idea, the clones, and that little anxiety feeling given by the countdown make the perfect mix 💣
Good job 😁✌️
The man made sound are amazing  Good game
You did a good job! The game felt very complete, and it ran nicely. The combination of elements was a little silly (a knight with a ray gun shooting blobs?), but you do you! :D I enjoyed playing anyway, the art was nicely drawn, and it was a good challenge. Thanks for the game!
Nice game! It had some fun to it, plus the graphics and sounds are cute, too (good work with the mouth noises).
Played the web version on ldjam and I'm not sure it matches with the screenshots. I don't see a health bar, and it doesn't seem like I can die, no matter how much I let the slimes touch me. Not sure if that's a bug or an intentional change of game design. Also, I'd prefer if holding the mouse kept firing the gun, rather than having to click every time.
Good work on this!
@maaack I haven't seen many of the embedded versions do well ... I'm avoiding them, so I can be sure I'm rating the best version of the game :)
@maaack Thank you for the positive feedback! If you play the embedded version here on ldjam you have to put the game in full screen mode, otherwise the borders will be cut off, but the UI should be there. You can die, but if you don't reach a new checkpoint you go 10 seconds back in time and your health bar is also restored accordingly. So if there are not enough monsters around to kill you in less than ten seconds, you don't die. We probably should have had more monsters form the start
Nice shooter. I liked the graphics and the intense music. I was also misunderstanding the goal at first, thinking you have to reach each column in time. Maybe such confusion could be avoided if you reversed the kill count to show how many enemies are left.
The cloning mechanism is pretty cool and the decaying powers of columns force you to move around.
One thing I would change is making the shoot automatic when mouse is pressed. You see plenty of these kinds of implementations but they rarely work when you shoot a lot.
Good work.
The controls are a bit rough, but the pace is good & the ghost of your character is really cool ! Good job
Really like the respawning with the pillars and the clones. Art is very charming and colorful. Music fits well. I think it would be cool if you added more enemy types and maybe some collectables. Great job!
I really enjoyed the take on the theme! A really fun, addicting gameplay loop where failure doesn't set you back too far - it's easy to quickly just go again and try a different route this time. Controls and combat was also smooth and responsive. Good job all around!
Solid mechanic. After a while i was trying to use the clones to kill all the slimes. I was very proud of them. Then i went pillar hunting. Felt like castle crashers for the art.I WIN THE GAMe.png
I liked the art, and moving around to shoot slimes was pretty fun. Clones is a cool mechanic, though I wished that they'd stick around between pillars. It might also be nice to know where all the slimes are, to make hunting the last ones down a bit easier. I had fun playing!
Really great art. Nice fast paced gameplay. Looping between all the different pillars was a blast. Finding all the last slimes was a bit of a challenge but satisfying when you find that slime that you couldn't locate before.
Fun gameplay, solid artwork, and I can't help but love the sound effects lol. For a second I didn't realize my clones were looping back and thought it was multiplayer, that would've been insane
Muito bom! gostei do estilo gráfico pintado à mão Show!
Very fun! I think the looping mechanic and being able to work with my past selves was really cool. The one thing I would of loved to see is either a limit on the shooting speed, or ammo, if you can click fast enough the enemies pose no threat.
Cute little monsters :) I was not sure how to change the direction of the shooting. Sometimes it would change while walking but I could not figure out how to turn.
Very cool idea, I was not able to beat it though! I really liked the unique color palette of your art style- very cool asthetic! The UI that pointed me to the pillers was a really good addition, thank you for that. I think it could use a bit of shoot feedback, maybe some SFX and screenshake juice?
Nice game with well-working controls and very fitting soundscape! At first I had a bit of trouble finding the checkpoint pillars but then things started rolling nicely. And I really liked the recorded "ghost" of the previous run once you reach a pillar!
Nice entry, good job!
Great game and concept overall.
Looping back and helping your self is really nice and getting to the next pillar sometimes is challenging.
Would be interesting to apply this concept in a dynamic labyrinth each stage where you need to find the exit. While killing enemies is cool without a map is a bit hard to judge how many left and where.
Congrats!
oOOoooO I really like loopy games, where it gets more and more each time. It's like that ld a while ago! Good job, great art!
Pretty cool idea! It's interesting how you interact with your clones. Would be nice if you could keep shooting by keeping the mouse clicked instead of clicking for every shot.
Cool game. The game looks good and plays well. Nice work.
