LD46 — Keep it alive

Keep Your Distance by paul-sinnett 2020-05-02T18:02:25Z

really fun, maybe a difficulty increase would be nice (like enemy size or speed increasing). I don't know if you have access to cloud variables yet, but I think a leader board would fit this game perfectly

The curse of Ah Puch by THeBEKA 2020-05-02T17:45:07Z

Really nice game, I can only suggest more polish. An easier way to select/deselect, variation in enemy mechanics, particle effects, just little things.

PIZZA was plentiful and nothing hurt by niklasriewald 2020-04-29T17:53:33Z

Pretty good, try to to be more deliberate when designing levels. Ideally, the level design should make it clear to the player what they should be trying to do. It should also be made to progressively teach the player the mechanics of the game

Adrift by cdunham 2020-05-07T01:53:00Z

really enjoyed this, felt like a puzzle trying to figure out how to get all the gas.

Cactus Care by west 2020-05-02T17:17:07Z

moving around the objects felt kind of clunky, combined with the intense screen shake and lack of sound, it felt fairly frustrating to play

Tablet Force by AdamV 2020-04-23T05:50:19Z

really enjoyed playing this. Using power as a way to fight, interact, and stay alive creates a interesting decisions. When you die, it is frustrating to lose so much progress, I like the suggestion of a minimap, maybe one that is slowly uncovered as the player explores

Beetle Blast by OursBleu 2020-05-02T17:56:19Z

Loved this, it felt good to play, and was easy to learn. Maybe something like a stamina system would be good, being able to spam both the abilities and hold down both shooting modes all the time feels OP.

trader, raider and space by dimesto52 2020-05-07T01:57:37Z

having to swap colors rapidly when two different colored bullets hit at the same time feels too hectic, maybe if the bullets always bounced back at the shooter, it would be easier. (edit) just realized you could move, in game tutorials, or controls being listed are a must.

Servant Snake by C1FR1 2020-05-02T18:14:59Z

Nice game, feels like a mashup of snake and slither.io

Hack'n Dice by Fluffy_Kaeloky 2020-04-23T05:52:59Z

This looked and felt great, but I could not feel involved. The lack of control and meaningful decisions makes me feel like an observer of the game, not like a player. The more impact the player can have on the world, the better

Feed The Fire by Tomssuli 2020-04-29T17:04:47Z

Really loved this, My only feed back is to polish more. Try to make every action the player does have lots of feed back (particles, animation, sound, etc.) Make sure the game conveys its mechanics clearly, like maybe making the cursor an x when an item cannot be thrown into the fire because of its size.

Cats In Flats by Black Flag 2020-04-29T18:23:59Z

It was hard to tell how much I had to spray the cats, a health bar or some other indicator would of helped. Also, some sort of effect when the cats get deterred would of been nice.

The last flame by shevek 2020-04-29T18:01:59Z

Pretty fun, but I feel the wind should be more forgiving, or there should be some kind of indicator that shows when the shields are or are not protecting the flame

Keep the Planet Alive by TheNumberYellow 2020-04-21T22:47:41Z

nice, controls feel a bit awkward. I think making the player use two hands would of made it easier to play

Custom Critter Fighter by Empty Set 2020-05-07T02:23:42Z

Really impressive that you managed to make a customization character system in such a short amount of time, longest I've play a jam game so far

Bogged Out by yarpoplar 2020-04-29T17:19:09Z

Amazing! perfect amount of detail, everything felt thought out and complete, and very well polished

Josh Dumb by Catalystl 2020-04-21T23:09:20Z

Had a lot of fun once I got the hang of it. Got stuck on level 6 though, there seems to be no way past the turret without the shield breaking. For something like that, try to introduce and make obvious the mechanic you want the player to use in a previous level

Flower: The Game by Tolo 2020-05-02T17:21:06Z

pretty good, I think some particle effects for the water would go a long way

. less by theboywhomakesgames 2020-04-29T18:13:33Z

Really nice, you managed to make slowly pressing a key over and over something the player really wants to do without using flashy effects, or sounds, or numbers, just a dream

Escape With Alive by Arefnue 2020-04-21T22:52:45Z

I really like the swapping mechanic, thinking about avoiding and position both players to be close to power ups is fun to think about. One of the enemies felt very fast though.

Galactic Crèche by Paul Stiles 2020-05-02T17:29:36Z

Really fun, would of liked more feed back from destroying the meteors (maybe explosions, or particles)

Forest Frenzy by Catomag 2020-05-07T02:39:59Z

I love these kinds of physics playgrounds, had fun messing around. Could of used some more goals/objectives to give the player more purpose

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Mini Dungeon Tactics by Joror 2022-10-08T20:37:28Z

amazing game, the instruction system was easy to learn quickly and I loved the jelly physics on the combat. Really impressed with how much you accomplished feature wise. The only problems I encountered were the characters sometimes getting stuck when told to move to a spot, and the bow started flying around the room for some reason, but nothing that heavily affected gameplay

Hamster Defense by commanderstitch 2022-10-11T06:07:07Z

wacky experience for sure, I feel like the amount of enemies scale to fast sometimes, I think with some more balancing the game would go from good to great. Keep up the great work!

Kaboomer! by 0x01F0 2022-10-07T04:29:11Z

Really funny concept, the bombs could land in the walls making them unable to be picked up which was a bit frustrating and I also would enjoy if the difficulty scaled as the game progresses, but other than that, great work!

Kaboomer! by 0x01F0 2022-10-07T05:59:55Z

@mickxe the wall by the kitchen, could be others as well idk

10 Second Shmup by stmatn 2022-10-09T20:09:52Z

This is a great start for a game, I hope you continue to work on it. I think hard coding the levels so they work more as puzzles and having a grid based movement system would fit well, keep up the great work!

360° MICROSCOPE by Brendo 2022-10-07T05:59:13Z

Really fun to play, I love the art and love seeing the mitosis as a way to spawn new enemies. The only problem was that I didn't know what would cause me to lose until I ran into a cell, other than that, amazing work!

Watch Out by 100th_Coin 2022-10-10T00:17:45Z

This was so cool to play! I love the unique interpretation of the theme and had fun controlling what felt like my position in the 4th dimension while platforming. I also appreciate the colorblind mode, many games that use color for gameplay are difficult for me to play without colorblind options but this wasn't one of them!

Artifact Control by cdunham 2022-10-11T06:33:30Z

Very nice, loved the art and sound. It was fun once I figured out to play, controls shown in game would be a nice feature to add. When choosing troop I felt like my decision was uniformed, always summoning the most expensive one, I think it would be cool if there was some sort of information on which troops my troops would be more or less effective at fighting so I could counter the enemy summons better, other than that, great work!

IRON DAWN by danvil 2022-10-07T04:57:30Z

Fun game, had to restart a few time to beat it but I got it eventually (I think). This is a really good start, it just needs lots of little things polished, I would of liked to see: progress bars on the map for training, a highlight around troops/buildings so you know what will be clicked, tutorial/control info, something to show what farms/nuclear plants do, the ability to select more than one troop, and maybe a training button above each factory/city so I don't have to click 2 things each time, just bunch of little quality of life improvements that would make the game more enjoyable to play essentially.

Every ten seconds, the game skips... by davidsheadgames 2022-10-10T00:32:49Z

Fun game, I enjoyed speed running dialogue being part of the game, loved the art and sounds. Shooting didn't feel responsive because the shooting direction was based of the character's velocity instead of the last key that was pressed, but other then that, great game!

ALYOEP by BOOtak 2022-10-08T20:55:09Z

Vibes are on point with this game, the synced music that progresses with your power ups is amazing, love the visuals, just wish the game was a bit harder

HEAT by EbbDrop 2022-10-09T20:16:25Z

Really fun and a great mood, I think the game could easily be turned into a great horror game, I'm imagining reviewing the last 10 seconds on the thermal camera and seeing some sort of entity that walked by you that is only visible on the camera.

Cabush's kooky Climb by rsninjadev 2022-10-08T20:10:31Z

@actuallythemoon only the big mushroom platform can be jumped on, everything with collision has a yellow outline, but perhaps it wasn't noticeable enough, thank you for the feed back!

Nuke Tech Experiment Labs by ubershmekel 2022-10-11T04:59:00Z

Super fun, even was replaying to try to get my time down, got a 15.071. Gives me nostalgic impossible quiz vibes. I would love to see more levels!

10s Bar Brawl by Cedric86 2022-10-09T20:30:09Z

I love the variety of combat and having to adapt to the switches. Just a few bugs I noticed, you can shoot and attack through walls (so can the enemies), and I think a debug key was left in, pressing space decreases everyone's health

Foodmnesia by naplz 2022-10-09T20:49:10Z

Fun to play once you learn what you are supposed to do, but very hard to figure out since you need to press every ingredient before there is any visual change to the character/world, also, the outline around the food is hard to see

Taking over the world by exaggegen 2022-10-11T05:50:57Z

Absolutely loved this, what a large game! my only criticisms are that my people would get stuck on trees when trying to get back to base, and that it felt like I had to be in an unknown exact spot for the player to do an action, other than that, great work!

Bullet Hellth by Explosives101 2022-10-11T04:17:15Z

Love the unique concept, simple but fun to play. I think using health as ammo is a great way to stop players from spamming bullets. The damage from shooting enemies seemed inconsistent, some would take 3 shots, some only 1, it would be nice if there was a way to understand this if it is a mechanic, but besides that, great game!

Udou in the forest by lomstfer 2022-10-11T05:22:27Z

Love the game, cool to see another person using raylib and c++, didn't think I would see any other raylib users lol. I think as a survival game it works great, but I think the game would also be fun with an end goal besides keeping the light on to work towards, other than that, great stuff!

ShooterWare by AntonioTheReis 2022-10-07T06:10:32Z

fun fast paced game, I like the vector art style. The bomb game was a bit confusing since you cant move it after you click, the battery you can drag around as much as you want so the different controls between the two make it counter-intuitive. Also being able to click faster to shoot faster is fun until your hand starts to wear out, I would of preferred to be able to hold down the fire button so I can focus on using movement more to survive instead of standing in the middle and spam clicking. The game was great besides my two little nit picks

Pillagers Plague by bcollins0000 2022-10-11T06:19:14Z

Really fun tower defense game, loved the graphics and new take on the genre. If you had more time to work on the game, I'd love to see different enemy types that take less/no damage from certain towers so you aren't able to win by just spamming the arrow towers, but other that, great work!

Paddle Swap Arcanoid by LordSaber 2022-10-11T04:28:48Z

Very fun, loved the sound effects and I think you managed to make brick breaker a more intense experience. The only thing I would've liked to see is preventing times where the player controls none of the paddles, also hope you are aware that you can't see the top paddle without fullscreening the game

Enrum by HOLYPERSON 2022-10-11T04:46:49Z

Very fun game with amazing audio, also loved the look and vibe of the game. I think this is a great new take on the train connecting puzzle genre, just wish when connecting things, the lines would jump to your mouse if the cursor went passed tiles without touching them, and that connections didn't work after the time is up so it doesn't look like you made it in time when you didn't, other than that, amazing work!

Under Pressure by 321mine 2022-10-11T04:05:49Z

Looks amazing but was hard for me to play since the mouse cursor was not showing, other than that it was a pretty good game

Nua by Cayurr 2022-10-10T00:56:47Z

interesting puzzle, loved the artwork and interpretation of the theme. I felt discouraged from trying to beat the whole game because I had to play through the whole thing again if I failed a level, I think having multiple stages consisting of a few screens each would be more encouraging personally, but as a difficult puzzle game I think this is a good game!

Loop Arena by LorandusBianchi 2022-10-09T20:01:54Z

Very fun! I think the looping mechanic and being able to work with my past selves was really cool. The one thing I would of loved to see is either a limit on the shooting speed, or ammo, if you can click fast enough the enemies pose no threat.

DO NOT PRESS THE BUTTON by Eugene An 2022-10-11T05:13:24Z

Interesting concept, good art and sound. After scouring every inch of the room I found nothing that affects the game, if that is the point then I think this is a good artistic statement, but not fun as a game.
