This game rocks! such a simple concept and so incredibly frustrating but i cant be mad at that silly little guy

Very frustrating game! Awesome concept based on the theme though!

Cool idea and nice execution. Very frustrating but still a super fun game haha, well done!

I think this game shortened my life span and temporarily crippled me for platformers. I'm scared to type now, it feels wrong for some reason to not have my hands in a jumbled mess to hit the keys. Very good game, great visuals, loved the sound effects. I hope you all are proud of the monster you made

The second mushroom platform seems broken? That said really funny idea, i out loud said "oh no" as soon as i realized the buttons were changing, since i'm really bad at remembering where keys are on the keyboard  good entry! Graphics are cute too!

rsninjadev 2022-10-08 20:10

@actuallythemoon only the big mushroom platform can be jumped on, everything with collision has a yellow outline, but perhaps it wasn't noticeable enough, thank you for the feed back!

I LOVE the art, truly beautiful

Man, I love the graphics and the audio of this game! The main character is lovely, the world is really interesting and beautiful to look at, the soundtrack is cool and the SFXs of moving around as just right. I also really liked the UI for the controls, highlighting the keys pressed and what is about to change: in a game like this, it makes all the difference. The idea of swapping control did probably come to a lot of the jam participants (me included), but you executed it really well! Well done!

Hah jumbling the controls was a more fun mechanic than I imagined! Didn't get all the way up, I am not that good a platformer even with normal keys ;)

Lovely visuals and nice sounds as well.

GJ!

I've had fun playing this. It has the right balance between challenge and frustration, with a super UI and simple mechanics. Well done!

This is definitely a rage game like Getting Over it lol! Your art and introduction are wonderful and you nailed the theme and mood of your game. The premise is definitely cool, and you pulled off the physics and timing of your character's movements well! I think the core mechanic of you game is not quite for me, but for people who like the genre of games like Getting Over it and AltF4 I think this could be a really great addition to the genre!

Well done, and congrats on submitting!

I just broke my keyboard lol

ludovicapiro 2022-10-10 11:00

I'm not good at platformers even with fixed commands, so this was definitely very challenging for me. But I loved the idea. Great concept and also lovely art and sound design. Well done!

selkieharbour 2022-10-10 16:32

It's very challenging and the gamefeel not so great but still a nice and simple concept that is very fun for a while, nicely done!

ping78 2022-10-11 00:44

Nice game. Works as it should. Having an indicator of where you can and can not jump is really good. Well done.

satacat 2022-10-11 23:34

ok THAT'S WAS HARD. but hey, we did it to the end. controls should be fixed, cause when you get used to the keys then you face difficulties with level design and it's hard to get to the right point. overall, it's great, really Screenshot 2022-10-12 at 02.30.28.png

Oh god, I didn't expect this to be that difficult lol enjoyable game with a cool mechanic. Does everything it needs to do and has some cute art. Nice work!

amarokczukay 2022-10-19 11:03
