Nice job!
I like the idea. The art you chose is really nice and the mouse controls are great and responsive. It took me a few seconds to understand what I had to do. I think it would be more fun if there were more unpredictability durink the "drunk" events. The way it is now, the safe strat that consists in pushing against the force applied to the boat is a bit boring and too efficient.
Thanks for the game 💕
Really nice art style and cool flavour too. Unfortunately, i wandered for some minutes without finding any bottle, are they really that hard to find?
The art style is nice. It was at first hard to find the bottles because the minimap ship icon doesn't have it's origo on the spot I intuitively expected, but after I realized that it got easier. Maybe even a bit too easy!
It seems that sometimes bottles can be really rare. Otherwise I thought the art was very cute and on-theme. Great job! :)
I enjoyed playing your game. Good Job! It took me a while to figure out that I shouldn't run into the islands... it probably tells you that in the instructions but who reads instructions when your intoxicated *hic*
@amagatha Sorry to hear that! The bottles should always appear around the island marked with an X on the minimap, did you see those?
@doloc Thank you so much for the feedback! That's too bad, they should not be that hard to find. Did you look around the islands with an X on them?
@cinderblock Thanks for the nice feedback! The bottles have no rarity and should spawn in the waters by every island that gets an X on the map, did you go all the way around them?
I like the art but I see you guys have opted out of the Graphics category, can I assume the art was not made for this Jam? Otherwise a fairly simple but resonant game, nicely done!
@chartle Thank you so much! Sadly, making it impossible to vote in that category was just a simple mistake due to the stress of publishing... everything was made purely for this jam!
That's a shame about the graphics category thing - your graphics are really good! I liked that the overall aesthetic was really cohesive (even down to the score UI). The gameplay loop made sense but it felt a bit too easy. The only difficult thing was trying to predict the ship's hitbox because it seemed quite big. Nice work though!
The art style is beautiful, and the music is really nice too. It took me a minute to figure out what to do. After that, I think the game is a bit too easy. It is not obvious what is happening to the ship movement. So indicating forces applied to the ship with, for example, a wind graphic would make it better. I would also love to see those sea monsters to chase the player and some implementation for messages in bottles. Maybe you need to collect them first to see an X on the map. Anyway, good job!
A simple and pretty fun little game. I love the music and the visuals. Well done.
Why did you opt-out of graphics, since they are so nice? I'd like to vote them too. I liked the game.
I love the art style! And nice story, liquor driven pirate gameplay :D
Gameplay is pretty unique and things like minimap and drinking indicators look and feel really nice. Some bugs here and there. Love the art style the most, I feel it is really strong here.
@splitpainter It was a missclick in the stress of uploading the game haha :( Thank you tho!!
