Cool game once again! A little too dizzying for me to make it all the way through, but I really appreciated the thoughtful design and unique mechanics.
This game is brilliantly creative as a physics based game, and it's also incredibly frustrating as a physics based game. I ended up giving up when I got to the area where the controls completely lock up, but the rest of the levels were creative and challenging in a fun way.
What doesn't help is that the game stops updating the mouse position when the mouse is outside the game area. I'd recommend using the gamepad analogue stick as an alternative.
Also that raccoon ball is really adorable!
Very cool, super varied and quite polished. the physics are indeed annoying, but that's part of the game. (Its more "counter-intuitive", yet its consistent and works). Game is great, Played it for way too long, but I also gave up at the full lock. I can see what I need to pull, but its too hard. Hope there wasn't too much after that, there was plenty before including 2 "difficulty" walls that really tested my patience. (It might seem like I'm negative, but I'm not, I genuinely liked this)
Great game no doubt about that.
haha I got scared it was going to be as hard as the minigolf game, but the mechanics kept surprising me, especially at the very end. Nice job! I think the hardest puzzle for me was the slight-tilt-door-is-closed-on-you-and-you-have-to-use-momentum in the green. The bubble was the most relieving moment. The spikes felt really punishing but actually weren't too bad. Nice job!
thanks a lot guys!
@joh @aeveis yeah i do think i went a bit overboard with the difficulty of some areas. i was trying to create situations that require you to actually "solve" them (for instance, knowing the angle you need to orient yourself in the lock area) rather than stumble on them accidentally, but in doing that i also made it mechanically difficult as well, and that's much more difficult to get a feel for regarding other people's abilities when i only have my own abilities to base it off of. i think the one lock puzzle is probably ok, could be made a bit easier. but i think the green area door is pretty much unnecessary haha
wouldnt be a torc game if it wasnt impossible to beat, amirite
all jokes aside brilliant game
It looks like I gave up where some other folks did. It's a fun game, and clever, but it does get quite hard quite quickly. From no spikes at all, to many spikes, to walls covered in spikes within two checkpoints! A fullscreen mode would also have been appreciated, since my cursor kept leaving the bounds of the game and killing me.
i think a few more intro levels would have been nice, and the mouse control was a little wild at times. i did like the theme. thanks for making it.
Super neat game! I think it might work really well in a mobile setting, so that might be something to think about :) because I'd sure as heck get it. My only issue was, as some others have stated, the difficulty scaled up a bit quickly, but overall great work!
What a great little rage game! I really enjoy the concept, a couple pieces of feedback though: the spikes feel like they should be easier to see, and i often times felt very disoriented after a death, and would backtrack through parts of the level. An arrow to indicate which direction to go from a spawn point might be useful.
great execution of concept! the difficulty curve does feel a little unfair, though
Pretty challenging, especially because the mouse is not captured in the window so you can't spin too quickly.
Still a cool idea!
I really liked the idea, but the mouse control was too fidgety for me. Maybe this could be cool on an iPad with tilt controls? The raccoon was very cute and the enjoyed smooth boop sound 🦝👍
Wow this one is really nice!
Reminded me of that nitrome game with a hedgehog I played a lot when I was a kid. The art is fantastic, the racoon is super cute, the controls are well made, the new stuff coming along the way is easily understandable. The puzzles are well thought, but the difficulty is a bit brutal I think.
Thanks for the game I had fun 💕
This was a cute and fun little game, but the sound of the raccoon hitting the spikes was a little too jarring for me to keep playing. Very interesting controls, too! Good work.
I think you did a really good job! It was very satisfying to pull off certain moves and it had a nice progression of features. It did give me a bit of motion sickness and I almost had to stop playing but I was able to make it through to the end and still had a lot of fun! Spikes sending you instantly back to the checkpoint was definitely a bit jarring especially with the fact that you would immediately start moving again, I think having it pause until you click again could be nice in those situations.
Overall it was a very fun time, had nice visuals, and a reasonable amount of difficulty; I enjoyed it a lot!
Wow, what an incredibly unique game! never played a game where you had so much influence over the gravity. Great interpretation of the theme! There are a lot of interesting ideas and consequences that come from this mechanic, and I think you explored them quite nicely (though I couldn't get past the part where you can finally move blocks).
I think my major nitpick is that the controls would get a little wonky when your cursor left the window. I think it would have been easy to control if the cursor was locked in the window.
Overall, great work!
Ooft, this is a hard one haha. But very well polished, nice one! That one U bend was probably the hardest...
Saw your article on Gamasutra and decided to see your stuff :) I've been doing LD nonstop as for a while as well, it's not easy!
Woo this game was tough! I didn't think I could get past the first spike section but I eventually did and I breathed a huge sigh of relief. I'm glad the checkpoints are fairly generous - it's the main reason I kept going because I could quickly redo the section I was it. Ultimately I got stuck a bit after that where there's a T-junction with spikes everywhere. Only looking through the comments did I see you could use the ring as a guide on which angle to take, I never thought of that.
I liked the game regardless though, as I enjoy tough games and don't mind grinding at them for a while. You must be pretty good at the game yourself to tune the game to be as such (my game is similar where it's tuned more for me). The presentation of the game is incredible, and the choice to have a basic "tutorial" was great because I felt super satisfied when I cleared the rocks. Great work!
A real brain-bender! Can also see this being fun on mobile or with touch controls. Good stuff!
brilliant as alwayss aaaahh! played through to the end -- honestly it didn't come off quite so brutal as some made it out to be! the difficulty level hit that sweetspot of fun for me, not so tedious, a checkpoint after every little gauntlet -- and my gosh torccc your gameplay and mechanics are always so nifty and ingenious i love it and it makes me happy <3 -- also speedrunning potential here? everyone went all out on speedrunning jumpgolf fgjhfh
This was a ver very innovative twist on the theme. I thought every mechanic and puzzle was interesting and I never got discourged or too upsed with the difficulty. You alwasy seem to make games that would be really cool to see a speedrun of and this is no exception. I love everything about it and am excited to see what else you make.
