the game feels a bit slow to get into but it's a nice entry nevertheless! BUG REPORT: The itch.io web version is a little bit too small, so a lot of text is cut of.

Hi! I like the concept and the level design! I think your export is not at the right size because I couldn't read all the text in the tutorial. Good job nevertheless!
really nice little platformer! great job :)
What keyboard layout did you make this for? Q is left for me and D is right
@waylon531 You have to use Arrow keys, but i'm stupid i messed up the Online version, so the screen is to small to fit the tutorial text and some UI elements. I suggest you try to download it with MediaFire for now, i'm trying to fix this problem (Thanks for reporting @sadsmile :))
Nice idea, and good job making all of this solo!
The movement feels ok and intuitive. I would love it if there was coyote jump. Nice job doing an in game tutorial!
A few things I noticed: - The web version is cropped and has no option to play full screen. Since it's a unity build, in the itch settings, set to auto detect size! - Some corners and walls feel sticky. - The tilemap is sometimes bugging visually in the web version.
Wow, that's an interesting concept! I like the hardcore level design  One thing that it's too easy to die at the start of level 2 and 3, it's often when I died on level 1 and jumped to level 3, because I was still moving at level 2 and died there almost instantly
Nice! Depth-first-gameplay :D I think it would be very cool if you automatically continue at the point of the level above near the point you died. So that you don't have to do the whole level again?
Layered music is an interesting idea.
The web version is cropped and thus is not easily playable, you can change how itch io handles your webgl build by tinkering with the parameters to get the correct size!
It seems like in the windows version by the link the data folder has an incorrect name, had to rename it to play it. Tried to complete the desktop version with the extended view, but still can't understand how to complete the first level, the time runs out before I can reach the end, seems like the torches are not working or I don't understand how to use them  It also feels that some "coyote time" can be added to make the jumps feel less punishing. In any case, it was a fun experience :)
The online version is now fixed (thx @raivk )! Yeah the game deffinitly need some more work.. thx for all your feedback and all the amazings ideas @xoreaxeax @gameraccoon :) i will try to upgrade/finish the game once the jam is over, i'm still a big begginer in game dev so suggestions are welcome ! 🙂
I found this game very fun and addictive, but It felt like it was missing something. I think that the game was great, but the art needs to be worked on. I know that you are doing this solo, so I think that you did a great job with making this game. I think that one thing that was a little annoying was that the level difficulties were a bit too inconsistent with the others, so I would suggest making the levels increase in difficulty over time. Overall I think you did a great job with making a game in 72 hours. Good Job! 3/5
you are doing this solo,I think it is very impressive.I think it is a great work and good job!
Great work! I love the concept of the game I think it's very clever. I like how the music changed with each level. I do wish the levels got more difficult. Great job on making this solo!
The layering of music is very cool, really makes you feel like things are changing the further down you go. I did encounter a small bug on the title screen where the text gets cut off. Regardless, cool entry :)
I liked the idea of multiple layers of levels, quite innovative (based on my own experience!) The level design felt a bit unfair at times, sometimes I fell down and lived; felt like a safety net, just to find that there was no way back up - I literally would have to walk into spikes or wait for the timer to run out to continue on a lower layer. I adored the "Warning signs" that indicated the arrow shooters. The controls/jump felt smooth, but I did notice that sometimes I was unable to jump upon landing cause I'd have a little bit of a bounce rather than immediately hitting the ground.
Thanks for submitting your entry!
Nice first entry! Congrats on completing the game! I liked the level layout and music, the look reminded me of playing Bobby go Home on Atari 2600. Nostalgic and fun!
Congrats on the first entry!! Very nice graphic and gameplay. PS: I tried the web version first, but it's cropped and you can hardly understand what is going on, gladly the full screen is available, so I could play it. I downloaded it too but there is an error. 0001.png
Nice game ! The game design had a bit too much backtracking to my liking (after dying in level 1, you have to do level 2 then 3 then 2 everytime so it gets a bit boring/frustrating imo). Some of the traps had bad hurtboxes (i'm lookin at you spikes !) where you just died without touching them (and you could be pretty far away even). The level design was pretty cool. I liked the way the levels were built and the little humorous touches were really funny (the key trapped in ice had me laughing a lot lmao). Graphics-wise the ones you made were pretty cool, I liked the arrow and the bushes and the arrow launcher had a pretty nice animation too. Something about the art tho... The pixels were of very varying sizes thriough the game ! The spinning spikes were enourmous but had a tiny resolution while the signs were really small but had a big one... You should try to keep the same pixel size through the whole thing but that understandable given you made everything yourself. Also you rotated sprites so the pixels weren't aligned to one another and that looked a bit meh to me (but keep in mind I'm a pixel artist so I'm easily triggered when seing that lmao). Overall pretty nice game, maybe a little bit too punishing
