Merci beaucoup
So good for jam
So good! Love pirate theme!
Thank you so much. We love it too with island in the sky hahaha.
Amazing beautiful game - so much here in a short time.
Some tips to improve: 1. Allow pickup objects without mouse cursor being on them - it's too hard to pick up apples 2. Add some sound effects for wolves, attacks, object pickup, etc. The music should be helping to set the mood, but sound should help inform the player what is going on for things like the sun etc. 3. You mention you are trying to fix the light levels, it is too dark, shadow opacity should be down a bit too I think
Massive thank you for uploading a Mac version. Too many entries only have a PC option
@pete-thorne oh thank you so much for your review. I noticed how are it is to pick up apple, I think I will put a radius around the mouse to pick stuff and I will make them stackable too hahaha we made wood plank object too but I removed it because we didn't had time to use it on quest. For the SFX we need to do it for attack, walking and maybe a bit of wind at least but not enough time too For the light level it looks like a post-process problem, still investigating these... Thank you
Really cool! I know you didn't mean for the game to be this visually dark, but the shadows are so pitch black that at first I thought I needed to stay in the shadows to be protected from heat waves haha (I was shocked when I died, did not see my health go down  ) I like that you went full 100% with the narration (recording + cinematic + cool title screen etc..) really cool what you have achieve in a short time ^^ I little sound design would have been nice though. Good job!
thank you so much @julialalart at first we want to be protected by shadow hahahah so it's not a bad idea at all. And no time for SFX but it is on our todo list for next version of course o//
Wow, an entire RPG game in the span of a jam. Impressive. Loved the storybuilding
A lot of work for a jam, nice game
Really incredible in this time, very nice, I have a little trouble understanding the role of the timer though, well polished anyway, it's very cool
The narrative elements of the game was quite cool, and the idea of a flare of heat in a cycle is an interesting conceptual idea. I would have liked to see the story introduced a bit more slowly, rather than in the (unskippable) cutscene at the start. Though the images helped a bit.
Some things I would have liked to see: - A dedicated attack button. It was a bit cumbersome to have to switch away from my attack in order to eat an apple; having one button for attacking and another for items might have been a way to solve that? - As others have noted, a more lenient pick-up radius. - Some indication of how to survive the heatwaves. I thought I could hide in the shadows of the little buildings, since some NPCs were doing that, but that didn't seem to work. (The flare in the sky was very cool though.) - Some indication of what I'm trying to achieve. I sort of just aimlessly wandered around. Having a goal, however vague, might have been helpful in orienting myself. (E.g. go to the town)
Very impressive for a jam game.
really impressive scope and really fun concept
everything is a bit dark and i miss the return of an impact when hitting a wolf. Eventuel a hit sound or so. otherwise good work
A very innovative approach to the theme! I love the lore at the start and how the story progresses. the idea of the game can make for a commercial project I think. nice job!
Very impressive world, kept finding new stuff while running around.
Very impressive. How did you find the time to do all this. Just wow! Great job
There is a 48h replay in french on our twitch account if you want to see hahahaha @mantsje
A very good looking game, too ambitious to jam good work
This is actually very impressive for 48 hours. Really like the game, this is looking already really good. Few things I saw; settings are not working, and it looks very dark because of some light problems I suppose. But this is already functional, and it's super impressive for a 48 hours development. Great job!
I played this one on stream last night! unfortunately the VOD got muted, so no link :(
This seemed like a really good foundation for an adventure rpg! lots of complicated systems, and a cool world that was fun to explore.
Awesome game! I really like how you applied the theme
Is there a skip intro button? I got stuck between some rocks and the intro started playing again and .. it's pretty long.
Other than that it seemed like a good game but I wasn't able to see much of it.
@leorid normally for the introduction you just have to click one time with the mouse left button. I saw a bug if you press another key then you cannot skip anymore ... weird
Great job!
It's impressive how many things you managed to do in such a short time. I love low-poly RPGS, it's cool to see one here.
Of course, the game could be polished in a lot of ways, here are some things that felt like priorities to me: - Put attack and using items on different buttons instead of having to select from a menu and then click. - Grabbing apples was a pain, it would be cool if it was a bit easier. Maybe even just by walking over them? - It was easy to understand when I hit wolves, but not so much when they hit me. - Lighting felt weird, I couldn't see anything in dark areas. - The world was way too big and easy to get lost in. It doesn't go very well with the time limit mechanic.
I saw you are planning to push the game further, so I hope this helps!
Good luck and thanks for the game ✨
@doot Thank you so much, indeed it helps a lot :)
