Bien joué. Sometimes if I would click outside of the slingshot it would get stuck and just keep drawing lines and not launch.

allov 2024-10-08 00:17

Fun game, the gravity effect is well implemented. Objects are fun to place, but don't seem to do much. Still a nice touch. Graphics are really good and sounds are on point. Love the Beach Boys Kokomo reference in the music ;)

magopian 2024-10-08 09:26

Wow this game is AWESOME, would 100% buy it! It's fun, with a lot of humor (let's go USA style and bomb the place instead of colonizing it), awesome sounds, gameplay loot is very smooth, and there's so much juice everywhere!

I especially love the level ending photo, let's hope in a future version you can save and share them <3

zakku 2024-10-08 10:59

Trop trop bien ! Je suis un peu nul j'ai perdu assez vite je les lançait pas aux bons endroits ahaha La da est troooop cool et le concept marche super bien bravo

That was fun! Sometimes a bit challenging, and sometimes it felt like it depended on luck. but I made it to the very end so it was fine! I love gravity games. The visuals, and audio were great, overall the gameplay was quite relaxing. Even when I could not manage to get the people there, I wasn't frustrated, I was trying over and over until I made it. A slingshot sometimes glitched (I was drawing more and more line2d segments) but it's fine, it's a game jam after all. Great game!

chariospirale 2024-10-08 21:45

Very fun and simple !

mreliptik 2024-10-08 22:06

@magopian Thank you so much! Glad you liked the eagle sound ahah. The version with saving and a bunch of fixes is already ready. I might put it on itch soon

benjatk 2024-10-08 23:16

The sound, polish and graphics as always are great! I found a few bugs but bugs don't count in game jam games lol. I don't know if I was using objects correctly, as I didn't see much use in them, but it was still fun. I had a bit of a hard time reading the numbers in the bases, especially in the web embed. Still, very fun! One of my favorites of the jam so far!

This was a phenomenal submission! The audio was honestly the bow that wrapped the gift. This was a well designed game, the levels and the mechanics and the funny twist at the end where turns out I could've destroyed the bases to consider it colonized.

The only thing was the small glitches with the slingshots and I'm not entirely sure what the purposes of the objects were, seems like planned content. Either way, this was a strong submissions.

(P.S. definitely had a lot of use out of your game juice videos).

Woah love this game!! So cute, lots of funny audio and feedback, and interesting unique gameplay! Honestly a winner to me in terms of design, everything is so polished even the tutorial, title screen, etc, super impressive.

I did run into some glitches with the slingshot, where it wouldnt shoot and the aim would stick to objects randomly ? the extra line2ds like someone else mentioned. No idea what caused this, but it did force me to get stuck multiple times sadly or lose resources. besides this, perfect, awesome entry and would love to play again!

docgeraud 2024-10-09 15:55

This is so so good, one of my favorite game so far! Everything about it is really fun and well made 😍

kultuk 2024-10-09 20:59

Great job! Especially the music! 🤩🤩

jscommander 2024-10-09 23:35

I had so much fun playing this game! It really put a big smile on my face. I loved shooting the houses and little people from the slingshot at the planet - it was just so amusing and satisfying. The gravity mechanic was a great touch. I really enjoyed figuring out how to use it to place objects in tricky spots. It added an extra layer of strategy that I wasn't expecting. The whole concept felt fresh and creative to me.

ekun 2024-10-10 05:22

Pleasantly surprised by how polished this is for a LD game, well done! Game felt well scoped, and 10 levels felt like just long enough without getting repetitive.

pete-valeo 2024-10-10 05:56

Really well done! Huge amount of content for a jam game. The team clearly knows what they're doing. Graphics were charming, gameplay and physics were spot on (although I did run into bugs with the slingshot a little bit frequently), and the audio was top tier. The song had Katamari vibes, but with a very Mario Sunshine/Animal Crossing-esque energy to it, too. Great entry all around!

geoffroy 2024-10-10 07:21

One of the best game I tested here ! Very satisfying when you manage to exploit the orbits just right... With a little polish on some elements (like the little cages and their red number, which doesn't really fit the aestthetic), it'll be even better !

mreliptik 2024-10-10 07:41

@kultuk The musician is really talented so thanks to him :)

risminator 2024-10-10 10:54

This is such a cute and polished game! Good job and managing time and resources here! It's so fun throwing a bunch of tiny creatures of objects and see the result. And hear all the cute sounds!

And yeah, levels are very well designed! And the fact that there are several ways to beat the level is intriguing and makes you want to play it again with a new perspective, so ingenious!

A phenomenal game here. And all this in godot, really makes me want to learn more about it! I even realised that I watched some of your tutorials haha

filgreen3 2024-10-10 19:10

Hi! I enjoyed your game. The orbiting mechanic is fun and works well. It’s a cool take on the theme—after all, we are tiny compared to a planet.

I wasn’t sure how the objects like houses and trees fit into the game, but I found the bombs useful. I’d love to hear about your original idea for the game. It feels like it could work as a colony sim where you deliver goods with a space slingshot.

A mini black hole would also be a great addition!

I liked that I could skip some levels and jump straight to the next one. The UX and tutorial are well done, and I appreciate how you just show how to play.

I did notice a bug: when moving the mouse off-screen, the game sometimes shoots with no power. I think I might have the same issue in my own game. If you have any fixes or plans to address this, I’d be grateful to hear them.

martingonn 2024-10-12 03:45

Great job! I loved sending the objects at the planets! Cool that you can destroy settlements and it counts as completed

vivyhasadream 2024-10-12 21:20

The SFX is really cute and awesome! Make me think of the game heave ho. I enjoyed playing it

icxon 2024-10-12 23:49

What a cool game! Really impressed by your toolkit (button effects, text animations, settings screen, scene transitions, etc), music and sounds. The amount of levels blows my mind too;

Here is my playtest:

i had a lot of fun playing it ! the ambiance is so cozy and chill. Extremely polished game, it's impressive the level of details you had for a jam game ! Visuals AND AUDIO are really REALLY great ! Just one planet not colonized for me :) Great game !!

doot 2024-10-14 16:58

Incroyable ! La musique est dingue je l'ai laissé tournée après avoir joué j'aime trop. Le gameplay marche super bien, même si c'est dommage que les objets non bombe n'aient que trop peu d'intérêt. Bravo à l'équipe ✨

hawkin 2024-10-14 19:17

This game had so much polish! I'm amazed that you had so much UI and effects on everything. I'd love to hear about your workflow!

The gameplay was a lot of fun, and it was a good challenge (the second level really was tough training). I would have appreciated a reminder of the last trajectory I used, but I suppose that would have made it a lot easier :D Also, the tiny people looked more like candy that I wanted to eat haha.

Fantastic job!! This deserves highest marks.

(You should know that the particle effects, like the confetti and the explosions, briefly froze my game on WebGL the first time they played. Maybe there is something you can preload or cache to reduce that effect?)

awootis 2024-10-14 19:47

its fun, but why you leak to everyone how Musk planning his colonization programm :rocket: tbh it's too hard for me at start :> i enjoy it

yorsh 2024-10-15 01:21

Impressive polish, especially for such a small team. The one detail that looks a bit rushed is the line showing the mouse drag while aiming. Other than that everything is pretty much perfect: amazing art style, feels great to play, sounds is top notch. The fact that you can load multiple little guys in the slingshot really separates the game from others planet-gravity games that I've played in jams + it works wonder with the theme, so great idea. 1/5 because of the line thing (just kidding).

glaciereclipse 2024-10-15 21:31

Really polished and solid entry. The art is cute and the music/sfx is awesome. I understood the usage of bombs but I couldn't figure out if I needed the other items at any point. I still had fun playing and it was an impressive amount of juice and polish for a jam entry, congrats!

rohun 2024-10-16 16:14

This was so cool! I loved the idea of building tiny colonies on floating rocks! The art, sound, and game feel felt so good! I also love the little celebration sound of the tiny people

prostocupoftea 2024-10-20 07:59

What an awesome game! For a jam, this is surprizingly... polished? this feels like i would pay like 2 dollars for it in steam

Visuals and audio are so awesome, they trully give the game that "not a free game on itch but a payed game on steam" feel to it, as it is arguably ones of the most umportant yet neglected parts of the game, like, audio and visuals are usually an afterthought but actually they bring the whole game together, like here!

I loved to play this one, if i had more patience and was less likeley to destroy my keyboard than i would finish it, but overall it has a loooot of functionality, polish and levels, like, for any indie game! not just a jam! this is awesome that you could make it in 3 days, and mostly alone (exemt music), like, wow

vfqd 2024-10-21 07:07

Super cool entry! I adored the sound effects, especially when flinging lots of people at once. And when I discovered bombing the colony could finish the level ... that was a great feeling of "aha". I couldn't figure out what the other buildings were for, and I guess they were cosmetic? Anyway, really really good, congrats!

master-age 2024-10-23 12:12

A really fun puzzle game, loved the gravity mechanic and the levels. The music is pretty good too.

cataclysmicknight 2024-10-24 20:17

WOOHOO, I did it, I destroyed colonized everything! LOL that was super cute and funny, and I loved the sound effects so much. Well done! This was a clever little gravity puzzle game!
