The game is too short, I just got carried away!) An interesting idea, but I would add complications like moving platforms, so that the optimal path was not obvious at first glance. The game is trying to be an arcade and puzzle at the same time, it is better to shift the swing in one direction.
Good starting base for more intricate levels. Having the boy walking around would be an added challenge to consider
It could use some more levels and audio
Thanks @moomka ! You're absolutely right, I had the idea of moving platforms, but I ended up not having enough time for that. I wanted a puzzle feeling, while still pushing the user towards a faster pace, but it's definitely better to shift in one direction otherwise it might get confusing.
@sneakycocoon That's actually a nice idea, I wanted to keep things simple, and didn't go this far. (plus, I wrote the engine behind this, and animations are still a WIP)
@bjakubowski Definitely yes, but I found myself with not enough time for more levels, so i decided to stick with the initial 4.
Cute robot and nice artstyle. The game didn't run too well for me in the browser so I didn't play for very long. :robot: :hamburger:
Thanks @alex-mulkerrin ! Yeah, i'm aware of that, the engine behind is still in a beta version and it hasn't been properly optimisedcyborg.png

Nice game idea. Game was very slow, and movement very sluggish :/ Liked the graphics and simple and to the point sound effects. Good work :D

Good idea, but movement felt a bit unresponsive for this type of game.
I also think you went a bit heavy on the depth of field effect, which actually made it hard to see some of the items.

I agree with some other comments that movement seems weird. It appears you can input multiple move commands (which tick the hunger bar) without actually moving. With the current state of the game it appears to be a puzzle game but didn't really present any strategical decisions. This is what I would focus on next after movement
Neat game, the graphics are cool and the concept as well. The game starts lagging quite a bit at the third level for me, and it took me a while to figure out that the food icons were on the boxes, it just looked like details on the wood texture for me, especially when the ones in the distance are blurry. The game has a distinct mood to it, which I enjoyed. Overall I'd say you did a good job!
Really interesting game. I like the abstract art.
I am surprised the levels need so long to load? What are you using for the tech to run the HTML client?
The movement between the squares was very smooth, and I was glad to see I could pick up multiple objects and stack them on top of each other and then drop them all off at once.
Hey @candlesan! Thanks for the review  The loading page is actually "fake", I forgot to lower the timings, it's just a css animation being toggled via code. The actual loading happens in the the first level, and it takes only a second or so (on a decent network) . I'm using an engine I wrote, available here https://github.com/MageStudio/Mage
Thanks @jakobthequizguy ! yes, I'm aware the lag starts to build up as you progress, there was a bug in the engine that i only fixed later. Thanks a lot anyway

Great job! that's a lot of work for a game done in two days. It feels pretty polished and ambitious for a compo game.
The controls are very intuitive and the small noise makes them feel responsive and fun.
I found the food packages hard to identify, and I was not quite sure of when Biggs' needs change or why.
Thanks for the game!
I like the concept and use of the theme, and the graphics are great for a jam game. I didn't like how the desired food seemed to change randomly--it made it feel like I couldn't really strategize because the food I'd pick up wouldn't be desired anymore by the time I could get it to Mr. Biggs. I also would have liked to be able to replay a level after failing, rather than having to restart. This is one of the more polished-looking games I've reviewed so far and I think that's impressive.
