Hi there NestGuard team! I'm not able to test this, but as it shows first on my Smart list I really wanted to pop in and say props for doing a VR game! We need more good VR content out there :) I can already tell this sticks to the theme well, and will be fairly innovative, hopefully you get enough people with the required hardware rating it!

I think its really cool that you created a VR game! I played it with an OG Vive and it worked quite well. For the controls my Vive Controllers were not that great but as it was enough to just stand over the nest to defend the eggs, I didn't have to move much :)

Pretty cool dinos! :)

Great to see a VR game here. I played with quest+link. restart game caused an error for me.

i love the environment and the dino character! the sound of the attackers is a bit subtle. I ended up sitting on top of the eggs hitting in all directions to beat the game. seemed to be the obvious solution and worked well.^^ is it possible to hatch the eggs or do something else?

Thank you everybody for testing our game or your interest :) Yeah first game (of many) that we've developed in VR. It was longer that we thought to get one up and running.

@fatpenguin what controls weren't ok ?

@png You are right, it is not challenging enough, originally we wanted to implement a fire next to the nest that you need to supply in wood constantly or the egg would freeze. That would force you to go grab some logs further. Hopefully we will implement this in a post-jam version!

I played this without a vr-headset and was unfortunately able to experience the full game, but the sounds music and graphics are cool and fit together nicely. The gameplay is very simple but good

Thanks @barravelbzh :)

Played with Quest + Link. Nice implementation  The idea is nice but the game lacks a bit of features ! Nice graphics & audio ! :egg:

Sorry, haven't vr to test your game, but it's amazing that you manage to do vr game in 3 days!

Very cool game, Very impressive. Unfortunately my PC sucks and I was lagging very hard.

Great job, this is very impressive for a game made in a jam. The audio and visuals are nice and the rules and controls are very simple.

However, not only you need a VR headset to play it, but you also need a Nasa super computer I guess! My GTX1070 ran at 100% to give me around 20 FPS. So I guess to get those stable 120 FPS you would need something at least 6 times more powerful than a 1070?

Thank you for the game!

This deserves so much more ratings!

louspirit 2020-04-29 08:18

Thank you for playing and letting us now that! We will check if we can improve perfs. Twiking video settings would be first thing as it is on ultra by default :smirk: !

Well done for your first VR game. Sadly, I also found it pretty easy. I just stood on the eggs and did a shamanic dance and all the predators just ran into my claws. I really liked the music, felt prehistoric.

With more content this would be a very nice game. I'd love to play a dinosaur in a more fleshed out VR game.
