Two points of criticism though: - sometimes there are situations where you can only make bad choices. but I guess that is due to realistically implementing Trumps ... err ... pure genius. - why no music? You missed a great chance there ^^

Great game. Definitely worth playing. I appreciate the webGL build but i think music would have made the game even more hilarious. (Maybe you had music and it broke in webGL, cant test the windows version.) The only other thing I noticed, is that you quickly run out of new text options but i guess that is due to the jam time constraints. Anyway, good luck on the voting, Ugghmaster form WeAreDev
Thanks guys! Music would definitely help - didn't have time unfortunately! As for bad choices - if anything I was worried that I gave too many good choices, not realistically trumpish enough :wink:
I think you could tweak the balancing a bit: I ended up only having to take care about polls, and even the actions in the oval office did not really help to make the polls better (sometimes they got even worse no matter which action I chose.) Also I noticed that when you click one action and then the other in rapid succession, the event counter goes up by 2. Maybe lock the buttons a bit earlier. The golf minigame was absolutely genius! This was a fun entry which would have been even better with some sounds and music.
I really like the idea of this game and theme of this game. Honestly I felt a little bit confused since I couldn't keep the poll numbers up. The models looked amazing and I am really impressed how much you did in that short time. For 30 days I could have maybe wanted more cards to choose from. Also the UI could have been a bit more polished. Honestly this was one of the most polished game I saw apart from the UI. I have no idea how you made so many animations and models. Really good job on this one.

I had my share of laugh when playing. As stated, some music and a bit more variety in text and you have something really beautiful, the greatest game, purely american and huge.

@drskort @gurkenlabs Thanks! The balancing is definitely off, although in all honesty I was more interested in the humour than the balance!
@drskort To clarify - most of the art assets are 3rd party (credits/links under the screenshots), and animations are from Mixamo, so I'm perhaps not quite the prodigy you might think :wink:

Funny game! I think the novelty is what carried it for me. I tried a few times to strike the right balance with my answers, but I always seemed to come short. Do you need to answer them in a specific order, or find a balance between each day's activity? On the downside, I think the commentary/humor was a bit too on-the-nose for me to get too much mileage out of it, and so I quickly got bored once I wasn't able to make it far. But overall, nice work; it's good for a laugh. :wink:
@tpcool thanks! It's definitely something of a one-note joke, but hopefully funny while it lasts :smile: Balance is a bit off, but in general the key is to not do what Trump would do when you have the option :wink:
Ha. This is the best game so far. The music is fitting, especially the carnival type music for his golf, along with the sycophantic comments. The problem is it's too tempting to lose the game by replicating reality. And unfortunately, in reality his poll ratings never drop below 40% no matter how insane and moronic he acts.
I am not sure if i expected the decision making to be inverted to reflect some of the real life equivalent happenings. Also the options seemed to repeat pretty often, but i suppose that is due to the time limitation. Otherwise great job!
